That aside, this is seriously absurd that this entire rumor and past two weeks of chaos was spawned by a small word of the mouth statementclaiming a direct on splatoon would have an inkling reveal at the end. I am really doubting this now because that doesn't happen. However, I guess I still have to keep it neutral and possible based on the anvil

Like Sakurai would be out of his mind to send them a trailer for Butt Butt for a direct that big. Though I guess since he's only cult popular the thinking there could be you could increase his sales by showing him off in a direct for a popular game alongside that game's character?

Tama's main source for the SK rumor was right about Fallout 4's Pip Boy edition, Skylanders being a vehicle based game, the fact that Amazon would be selling Nintendo DLC codes, and the development of a Zombi U port to other consoles. That's reason to give the rumor time of day, but in the end, even accurate sources can make mistakes/get a hold of bad info.

Again Splatoon is hugely hot right now. It's not a small time game. Smash wouldn't distract as much from it.

Just like when people thought Butt Butt would be revealed at the Nintendo Indie thing. No, that would over shadow EVERYONE there, because the amiibo sure as hell did.

There's a difference, it's just never happened before. Which is why it's unlikely.

I guess I can see the issue with that, but at the same time, it's not unusual that a Pokémon of a group was largely unpopular and/or rated lowly because of how poor it fared compared to others. Meganium for instance tends to rate lowly in general partially because it's the least impressive starter for a lot of fans even though its line's adorable, so it's not out of place for her to rate it lowly because of how it is in terms of the group. Having said that, I will agree that it's still not a strong critique and she could've assessed it better, which is a problem with her video in general.

As for the video you posted, I did agree with a lot of the critiques that your video pointed out. I do feel they got a bit nitpicky in some areas (which I can't completely blame them for, the video they're reviewing is nitpicky in general), but they do ultimately explain their points well and how both youtubers didn't do as good a job explaining why they weren't as fond of their five picks.

As for the current rumor, I'm just casually watching at this point. I don't see too much reason to believe it yet as the information is sparse on it and there's little to go off of so far, but it's still plausible and as mentioned before, at least we have a timeframe at the moment.
