As for the rumor, part of the reason I've been avoiding it is because I didn't have a clear picture of who the original source is/ what their connection to the Splatoon direct/ Smash character was. I'm not sure if there are multiple sources, or what kind of proof has been shown. The people backing it seem to know what they are doing, but without that crucial information I wasn't going to back it myself. Plus I got sick of people teasing people and I really didn't want to do that/ continue that. That's why I've been quiet about the whole situation.

Glad to see RogerBase step up and take some responsibility/ comment on the situation. I have a full editorial that I've written on the matter that I was planning on publishing it on Saturday(Japan time) after the rumor cleared one way or the other.

RogersBase said something about "not knowing if the character was Inkling or Shovel Knight" earlier while going over the whole leak (which is a bit strange, seeing as how it's all based around a Splatoon Direct. Why would Shovel Knight be revealed during a Splatoon Direct?).

That aside, putting two and two together, the "second character" was probably Shovel Knight.

I don't think TheAnvil is a liar. The guy is really honest from what I know of him but damn I think he got lied to.

And that's different because I don't believe any of this is just crazy legit misinformation being spread around.

Zygarde's still a pretty good mon, putting it on a 'worst Kalos mon' list just because a few other powerful legendaries are better is actually ****ing dumb,

I do see your point for that, since even though it is the least impressive legendary to her, it should be better then most other Kalos mons from a competitive standpoint. However, I think the idea was that she was also putting some emphasis on the fact that it was a legendary as well and rated it more harshly as a result of that, thus it lower placing.

If I recall, Stealth_ stated that Shovel Knight wasn't the second character he was talking about, but since that is Stealth_/RPGrinder, so I'm not sure whether or not we should rely on that information anyway.

The only reason I didn't believe it was there was no proof. Nothing at all that added up to trust beyond their names and reputations.

Which is why I still lean towards Tama's Shovel Knight rumor being more real than this.

He at least got the Amazon selling E-Shop codes correct.

Nothings been confirmed one way or another. Remember directs usually happen on Wednesdays or Thursdays. Directs usually don't occur past 6pm EST. Just about every direct was announced with about a 24 hour notice. So if the direct were to happen tomorrow, we would probably get an announcement in the next 5 hours. If its set for Thursday, we will get an announcement in the next 30 hours. Once those 30 hours expire, then we can start making a determination here. Until then, it is still the perfect timing to keep a lookout for an announcement.
