Exactly my point.
Nintendo, the owner of the IPs in Smash (barring guests, obviously), thinks that what Sakurai does with them is in accordance to their standards.
Meanwhile, the fans nitpick anything and everything about the games.
I don't mean that Sakurai is perfect or anything, since I also have my own gripes with certain things in each of the Smash games, but goes to show how Nintendo's standards as owners of the IP(s) differ from the fans.
Can't argue with the fact Nintendo knows more about Sakurai than the fandom does.
As for the rest, it's subjective. There are people who really don't like Sakurai's game design philosophies.
Regardless, Sakurai does work hard in his games, which is something that each game does show, given the amount of content they have. At the very least, that has to be respected.
