I LOOOOOVE the original Chibi Robo to death. But sadly, there hasn't really been a Chibi game to match its quality, and Zip Lash is looking to be the same...

A while back some people were skeptical about the ESRB CSS leak despite what a lot of people saw as pretty blatant evidence to support it. The skeptics turned out to be wrong and I've seen them get some flack for it, especially when it comes to the whole Shulk is based off of Little Mac meme (which I agree is pretty funny in hindsight).

Honestly though, given the fake screenshot and even video "leaks" that have happened since, I don't know if it's really all that fair to blame the skeptics for reacting how they did. Over the past few months, I've learned that people are willing to put in a bunch of time and effort into making fake "leaks." It's cool to see people use their artistic talents, but I'd much rather they do stuff like Smashified then take advantage of Smash hype to get attention by passing their work off as a fake "leak."

I love Chibi-Robo, even though my exposure to his game was five minutes of the demo at a Wal-Mart before switching to a demo of Lego Star Wars II haha.

But unfortunately I'm broke, so as much as I'd like to support the series so it doesn't die I can't buy the game nor a 3DS to accompany it. :/

Yay.
Honestly the best third-party candidate imo. From a hugely successful series, from an unrepresented company, and an NES star.
Plus he's appeared a on Nintendo lot in modern times too due to crossovers with Mario.

If I had to compile a list of good 3rd parties to add to Smash Black Mage would probably be close to the top.
