Well Xtralife had the amiibo listing, but they didn't have any images. They said themselves that they searched for the image themselves on the internet and found the mockup boxart. They probably just rolled with it and listed it as a Smash amiibo since that's what the mockup said.

Yeah but if it's fake it's official confirmation it is. Maybe hey would outright say it's fake but maybe they just won't say anything. There is at east the possibility they would deconfirm it so the people that care can stop worrying.
