Capcom didn't really know where to take the franchise and pulled the plug on EVERYTHING.

Even the relatively safe Legends 3.

Actually Legends 3 was never safe. Considering after Inafune left and took the coding with them and they were running a photo-kickstarter with the game's demo they never released showed that Capcom never had faith in the Legends games

Did Sakurai ever comment on the Ice Climbers after 8-Player Smash was announced?


Because I recall both times Sakurai has talked about the Ice Climbers getting cut pre-dating the announcement of 8-Player Smash. If I recall correctly, the first was not long after the game's debut trailer (where he said in an interview that the team was having trouble implementing them), and the second was after the Japanese release of the 3DS version.

If this is the case, it makes sense to only talk about the 3DS issues and ignore the theoretical Wii U ones. If I'm wrong about the timing, I'd guess that if there were problems with the Ice Climbers involving 8-Player Smash, they might've kept silent about it to protect the Wii U's image.

Among them are the Ice Climbers, who were playable during development on the Wii U. However, moving the two as a pair required significant processing power. The 3DS was already being pushed to its limit, and I couldn’t get them to work no matter how hard I tried, so I gave up on them. The other fighters had to be whittled and pared down until I could get them to work, so it was simply unavoidable."

The following is the only thing he said about them that came after the Direct that I can find:

"I couldn’t get them to work no matter how hard I tried: I removed as many joints as I possibly could, and even when I removed certain effects, like gravity, they still wouldn’t work. Olimar and his Pikmin were also extremely difficult, but I managed to at least get them to work."

I want kids, but after I stop being a teacher. I don't want to teach kids, and then go home and raise my own. Kids are tiring, and a lot of work. It's a whole lifestyle change. I've seen so many ****ty parents, that I don't want to have kids until I'm ready. I might never be fully "ready" but I know right now it's impossible.

God no. I hate kids. I understand why they act that way because they don't know better but I don't want to be exposed to it even more. I hate teenagers (including myself btw) even more.

And on top of that my genes aren't exactly the best but, most importantly, I would be a terrible father. I don't want to ruin a kids future from my own mistakes. I'm far too distant emotionally and too cynical too properly raise someone.

Now I have never been in love or even been on a date so maybe my mind will change but for now diapers and crying are not on my to-do list.
