As a temporary accident caused by a failed magician's spell. If that Greninja is Ash as Greninja, not only does it imply he gains the ability to become one (something only a Burst Heart can be the explanation for), but actually fights as one.

Pokémon ReBurst is good for what it is, but it would seriously be jumping the shark if they introduced the concept in the anime and made Ash both a Pokémon Trainer and a Burst Warrior.

So no, that's his little Frogadier growing up and either gaining a new Forme that resembles Ash or a Mega Evolution.....that resembles Ash.

But if Ash could turn into a Greninja, then we could finally play as him in Smash, and he wouldn't get his *** kicked by Mewtwo again, at least not as badly this time.

Also that means that if the Sceptile is his (and I highly doubt it isn't), this would be the first time all of Ash's line-up is fully evolved in a region, even including the baby. You've grown so much Ash and you're just going to squander it at the league...

...I swear, if they pull another Gen 4 with the Pokemon league and brings that hack of a trainer with all them damned LEGENDARYS just to make Ash lose again...

That was a MAIN thing that killed the anime for me, after trying to "like" it one more time after Gen 3.

your right i forgot about ash's trade mark Giant water shuriken he wears on his back....and it really dosent look like ash to me if anything it looks more like sycamore

It's on Serebii, that in and of itself is enough for me to believe it honestly. There are always leaked CoroCoro scans popping up on Serebii and I don't think I've ever seen it be a fake, plus Serebii in general is very high credibility.

......how in the Hell does it look anything like Sycamore? It's body is colored like Ash's clothing (which is noted in the scan itself), it gains black notches on the side of it's face to resemble Ash's hair, and in those notches are red lightning bolts, based off the markings on Ash's face.

I'm saying since they are being very vague about what this new greninja form is,they wouldn't have ash wear a mega ring in the poster as it would instantly spoil the surprise
It could just as easily be a special thing just his greninja has for some reason tho.

IIRC, it's stated that Zygarde ties into Mega Evolution.
Maybe the Zygarde Core sidekick is the Calumon (lol more Digimon nods) of the group?

It evolved during a battle with Frogadier into Grovyle.

Though other than Alain's Charizard and Zygarde, all the other Pokémon belong to the main cast, so it's reasonable to believe that the Mega Sceptile is Ash's (especially since we don't see Sawyer anywhere like we do Alain).

Even now that we know that that isn't mega greninja ash is still pretty dang stacked if mega sceptile is his. Pikachu,greninja,talonflame,hawlucha,noivern,mega sceptile.

By which I mean, the Zygarde Core sidekick would radiate energy into Sceptile/Greninja (on the assumption the new design is a Mega) that allows them to reach Mega Evolution just the same as a Mega Ring and a Mega Stone.
(Which would imply once the Zygarde plot is wrapped up, no more Mega Sceptile/Greninja.)

Also as I mentioned they might just be removing the ring from the poster so they don't completely spoil it. Like how in tv shows preview they take out charachters from scenes that would make it too spoilery and when you watch the acutal epsiode said charachter is acutally there in that scene.

I wouldn't say it's his most stacked. I haven't watch the anime since Hoenn and he needs his Sceptile, Charizard, Snorlax and Heracross to be stacked. Those were his best Pokemon.

Put it with Pikachu and Greninja and it's a dangerous team.

I wouldn't be surprised if he did get a Mega Stone at some point. He coild or he could not receive one; we don't know.
But still though Game Freak hurry up with that game.

This Greninja design seems like a pretty big part of the advertisement. I don't see how it could be an Ash-only thing when all these movies do is advertise new game mechanics.
