Here's my question for Nintendo, why would it be detrimental to you if it's actually helping to promote your games? It's basically gauging the viewer's interests and in turn strongly increases the likelihood of more future purchases, it's free advertisment.

It's the reason that Adobe has fought against the term "photoshop" for image editing. If Adobe didn't fight it, they would risk losing their right to call Photoshop by that name.

My BIG question about all of this is...was the guy uploading TAS speed runs making money off the videos? If yes, then I think Nintendo isn't 100% wrong with this (More like 80% wrong, but not 100% wrong to go after that guy). If the guy wasn't making any money off it...then Nintendo is in 99.99% wrong as the guy was 1. not profiting from Nintendo's IPs 2.is not hurting the ability of Nintendo to profit.

afaik, no they dont they only record the playback of the inputs because a tas file is literally that.

I never heard anyone making any profit and doing a tas is tedious.

I know he's Indian, but Zen might be a Dhalsim type character. To be fair we have no one who falls under his archetype yet.
