...Ok? What's the point for this?Waiting for a character so that we don't add them all at once...
Curious.. did it say "Future Installments of Smash?"Iwata said in the direct announcing the ballot that Sakurai stated he won't be able to add every requests and would take them into consideration for the next Smash. So it is definitely a possibility that Sakurai is looking at the ballot choices fans are providing and is keeping the ones he can't work on now in mind for future installments.
That waiting for a character to be in the next game can sometimes take a while....Ok? What's the point for this?
They could have also added stages for Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze (which came out before Smash), Pokémon OmegaRuby and AlphaSapphire, Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds (also came out before), Xenoblade Chronicles X, Code Name: S.T.E.A.M., etc. and had "every reason to" at this point, but they have not.Actually, I specifically said it was simply a theory. And you are missing the point that Nintendo has had many options to add an Inkling stage at this point, and has every reason TO add an Inkling stage.
Yet they have not.
ar·gu·mentAs far as "argument"... just that you are hot headed and pick a fight at every corner?
Now, in context with what I said, which definition of the word "argument" was I using?Your argument is literally "Yoshi got a stage from a game that wasn't released yet, so that means Splatoon IS DEFINITELY going to get a stage, and the only reason we haven't received it yet is because it's tied to a DLC character!".
Do you not realize how flawed that argument is?!?
Because that doesn't mean the concept of a "Yarn Yoshi" stage couldn't have been considered from back when it was first revealed. How's saying that the stage is based off the game's final look and thus could only have been started to be worked on when the game started change in its new style irrelevant?
To cite an argument oft used by you, to compare a New Nintendo IP in gravity, to even just another installment of another game of its other series, is to compare apples to oranges. They could have also added stages for Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze (which came out before Smash), Pokémon OmegaRuby and AlphaSapphire, Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds (also came out before), Xenoblade Chronicles X, Code Name: S.T.E.A.M., etc. and had "every reason to" at this point, but they have not.
Instead, all the stages so far have been simplistic stages returning from Smash 64 or a stage added specifically to go with a guest fighter (Ryu).
ar·gu·ment
ˈärɡyəmənt/
noun
1.
an exchange of diverging or opposite views, typically a heated or angry one.
"I've had an argument with my father"
2.
a reason or set of reasons given with the aim of persuading others that an action or idea is right or wrong.
"there is a strong argument for submitting a formal appeal"
Now, in context with what I said, which definition of the word "argument" was I using?
The second one.
Just because you only see the word "argument" as the first definition doesn't give you an excuse to insult me.
Well, imo, from where I come from; calling someone "hotheaded" is essentially saying "you are really angry really quickly" Which is kinda like a insult of stating someone's attitude. Whether or not it was intended as a insult or not, was that really a necessary term to use on someone? To cite an argument oft used by you, to compare a New Nintendo IP in gravity, to even just another installment of another game of its other series, is to compare apples to oranges.
Secondly, calling you hot headed is not insulting you (which is ironic, coming from you, after things you have said in the past. Let us say, asinine comes to mind.) Shall I go to the trouble to look up definitions of hot headed, or is the fact that you went to the length to get a dictionary page quoted on your response enough proof that it is an extreme reaction?
It was not an argument. I merely shared my thought on a board.
The latter part about this conversation, the part where you attempt to school and educate, is irrelevant to the context of Smash, at this point. I will not dignify those aspects further with response.
Probably.How about discussing this thing?
Is that Baby Walugi ever going to be canon!?
Lol, inb4 more Baby characters in MK8 DLC Pack 3I brought up the topic of PokemonGo to move on.
How about discussing this thing?
Is that Baby Walugi ever going to be canon!?
EDIT:
It must evolve into this
Pictured: Why Baby characters in Mario should be abolished.I will only accept Baby Wario if every sound he makes ever is this.
That....doesn't even remotely sound like anything I remember myself saying. To cite an argument oft used by you, to compare a New Nintendo IP in gravity, to even just another installment of another game of its other series, is to compare apples to oranges.
Are you speaking positively about me when you're saying I'm quick-tempered and easily agitated and that I just "pick fights at every corner"? No?Secondly, calling you hot headed is not insulting you
So, because I've referred to people's arguments as "asinine" in the past, that gives you free range to DIRECTLY call me a hothead that instigates fights literally out of nowhere solely because I used the word "argument" in a sentence and you didn't understand the context?(which is ironic, coming from you, after things you have said in the past. Let us say, asinine comes to mind.)
You might as well look them up if you think it has anything to do with "extreme reactions".Shall I go to the trouble to look up definitions of hot headed, or is the fact that you went to the length to get a dictionary page quoted on your response enough proof that it is an extreme reaction?
Read the definition again. It was not an argument. I merely shared my thought on a board.
Ignoring the blatant "The reasoning listed in my posting." implicating the post of yours before this was an argument, this very post is making an argument. It's reasoning to support your thought meant to persuade me and others that your thought is true. The reasoning listed in my posting.
I didnt say it is a thesis paper, but it is a theory that makes enough sense to me.
We had a Yoshi's Wooly World stage as promotion... how long ago?
Yet a new IP launch wouldn't get one?
Bull****. They are holding it off for the character.

You know that feeling when you've got free time, and you want to use that time to get something done, but then you don't know what to actually do with that time so you end up browsing the internet for hours and get nothing done?
Yeah...

That level is amazing. To add to the Super Mario Maker hype, here's one awesome Mario Kart level played by RetroGaijin; simply amazing.
Didn't the whole unlocking process get patched out?Btw, not sure if this was discussed/known but apparently if you use a lot of blocks in course creation you can skip the unlocking process. It's on the Mario Reddit apparently
I'm pretty sure in some emulators they have the tools necessary to do TAS without modifying the rom.Aren't the only TAS Nintendo is taking down of Romhacks? Roms aren't exactly legal to have, so... I really can't see the issue in that case. I think if they're taking down properly owned games that are being TAS'd, then it's ridiculous. But roms and hacks? Meh. They're not entirely legal anyway, so eh.
However, it's a good theory that they're trying to push Mario Maker by making it so it's the only thing allowed to make levels. It's a jerk move, but it does make sense. And the law is on their side. I don't agree with this practice, despite seeing why they'd go with this.
Oh hey, I just played this level. It was indeed a pretty enjoyable one despite that all you had to do was press dash and right. ^^To add to the Super Mario Maker hype, here's one awesome Mario Kart level played by RetroGaijin; simply amazing.
Which doesn't even matter cause owning a rom is illegal anyway. It's all a legal issue, so them coming down on it should not be surprising. Again, I don't agree with their actions, but they are within their rights here. Depending the country, of course.I'm pretty sure in some emulators they have the tools necessary to do TAS without modifying the rom.
At least they were improving before from no video allowed to kinda allow it but then they still take down tas which urks me so much urgh.Nintendo's legal department, especially the part that deals with youtube, is an embarrassment. I wonder if Nintendo of America has a whole team dedicated to smacking their heads against the table so the rest can actually get work done.
Same here. I gotta' wait a week for the game .Ffs I wish I had the money to buy this game...
Anyway, enough of my monetary problems...
What about the whole thing with physically owning the game though?Which doesn't even matter cause owning a rom is illegal anyway. It's all a legal issue, so them coming down on it should not be surprising. Again, I don't agree with their actions, but they are within their rights here. Depending the country, of course.
Plus, don't forget that they couldn't even stand the frekaing Game Genie of all things. Anything that essentially modifies the game in any way is annoying to them. It's lame, but Nintendo goes overboard and always has.
It's always been murky how that works. Apparently you can only have the rom for 24 hours or something? I don't know the exact details, honestly. What about the whole thing with physically owning the game though?
Is that just some sort of myth or what?
I was thinking the same thing, I thought if you owned a physical copy of the game then having the rom was alright. What about the whole thing with physically owning the game though?
Is that just some sort of myth or what?
Here's my question for Nintendo, why would it be detrimental to you if it's actually helping to promote your games? It's basically gauging the viewer's interests and in turn strongly increases the likelihood of more future purchases, it's free advertisment. If the guy wasn't making any money off it...then Nintendo is in 99.99% wrong as the guy was 1. not profiting from Nintendo's IPs 2.is not hurting the ability of Nintendo to profit.
Can we have Lord of the Leaks: Return of the Swamp next?New theme chosen by me since @Opossum never got back to me.
My BIG question about all of this is...was the guy uploading TAS speed runs making money off the videos? If yes, then I think Nintendo isn't 100% wrong with this (More like 80% wrong, but not 100% wrong to go after that guy). If the guy wasn't making any money off it...then Nintendo is in 99.99% wrong as the guy was 1. not profiting from Nintendo's IPs 2.is not hurting the ability of Nintendo to profit.
