well, just for fun, this is the actually image of the font ripped straight from TTYD:

View attachment 72303

Is there anything wrong you can spot with that image?

This one is like the unmodified image that TTYD uses to render text so if it has something wrong, it's the font itself that is wrong :)
The only issue i have with it is how a lot of times letters don't line up quite right. Such as if you take a look at the lower case letters, the "a" doesn't line up with the loop of the "b". That height is called the x height which should be consistent among lower case letters and the parts of lower case letters that don't ascend or descend. The tops of some letters looks a little off as well like upper case "N" and "O".

It's definitely a fun alphabet and is definitely the style of a Mario game, but it's not a a style that is very pleasing for me to look at

Sorry, let my inner designer out for a minute lol

well, it;s interesting to hear because tbh I SHOULD not like it to read this everyday with my big myipia, but I found the characters so attractive to look at that it like doesn't make much of a difference and I just got used to use it......everywhere.

Besides. it;s quite clear that the intent of the font isn't to be read far away, most of the reason I liek it is because it both makes a comic feel (paper stuff here) and is actually appealing, much more than comic sans imo which.....I find kinda boring. like, I'm the type of person that just LOVES the cuteness of the capital W, the curve of the ? and the tilt of the ! (it really does feel like you are actually exclaiming to have it tilted).

For reading, I actually really love fonts like Verdana, but I realised that the boringness didn't make up for the slightly harder to read cuteness of hey gorgeous. To me, i like simple that is packed with a lot and the concept of hey gorgeous is simple, but it gains complexity when you read it. Verdana, it feels so simple that it becomes boring quicker......

My personally wish if another Galaxy game, is a Sonic crossover. I just would die from joy cuz that would just be awesome. They did Lost World, so it shouldn't be that weird to make work.

Although I wouldn't be surprised if they combined Galaxy and the 3D Land/World series into a "Super Mario 3D Galaxy"...cuz come on, it would be something they do just because of the timing.
I had... a lot of issues with Lost World, but if they retool it into a spinoff or something it'd be cool. Just... fix the gameplay mechanics and add some goddamn level variety. Seriously, SLW was almost NSMB level of varied (what saved it where the random bonus stuff like the candy level and the casino).

A proper crossover with Mario would be cool too, I guess it really helps that Lost World and Galaxy are similar to each other.

I think a mario galaxy 3 is overrated and obnoxious as a god of war 4.

Galaxy should not become a crossover

A Sonic/Mario platformer crossover should be its own kind of thing, instead of being part of the mainline series.

Would it be because?.... At least it's been a while since the last game so it just wouldn't be a "expansion pack" and would be great to see them continue the formular, and bring some of the other 3D game series gameplay as well, like Sunshine for those who wants that.

Well, I said it was a dream wish...I know it should be it's own thing, but still, that would be pretty cool for the kid in me if that were to happen.

While a Mario Galaxy game is always a good game, I would rather have a new Mario 3D title with a new mechanic. It would be more unique and more fun to experience. It would also continue the "tradition" of a new mechanic in each console's 3D Mario games.

64 : 3D, star collecting, more liberty, overworld.
Gamecube : F.L.U.D.D and 3D :yoshi:
Wii : Gravity, spin, coop, star bits.
Wii u : 4 player coop (if we count 3D world)

I think 2 Galaxy games is enough for now personally. I don't think there should even be a 3 anytime soon. Galaxy 2 only existed because they had a lot of ideas they wanted to use for Galaxy 1 but didn't have enough time for. I don't see what's the point in a 3 when they could be making something new.

A valid point, but on the flip side, there's clearly a lot that could still be done with it.
However, first I want Sunshine 2. Or a remake akin to SM64 DS, with multiple characters and new shines.

I think consider more the side of the crowd that just wants "to move on" when the sequel makes almost no big impact to me ,but people just want that to "exist".

I genuinely do wonder what is next in store for 3D Mario. Are they going to stick with the traditional classic style they have going now? (3D Land/World) Or are they going for the next step after 64, Sunshine and Galaxy? Or perhaps a hybrid or something unexpected yet still 3D Mario?

Is it wrong of me to prefer having both Galaxy games combined as one in a Wii U and/or NX port rather than a Galaxy 3?
Nah, not at all. I'm all for a nice little HD Remaster for Galaxy 1+2 to be honest. Nothing too resource heavy to create and it'd be a nice little game to have on the side.

I want more 3D World, personally. 4 Player Co-Op let's us play as more characters and the game is easier to design compared to usual 3D Mario games.

Also it's so dang fun.

JUST GIMME ONLINE PLS.

I want a hub world that's on par with Delfino Plaza in the next 3D Mario.

Online co-op would make my day. I'm happy to see the new Zelda game on 3DS featuring that, so it's definitely in the step of the right direction for Nintendo. I hope they continue doing online co-op to their games.

I know right?

I'd instantly buy that if it was an actual thing because the only thing better than 2 masterpieces is having both of them inside a single game.
Oh you mean combining the two games? Well, dunno about that. Both games are large enough in content that it's going to feel kinda too huge to be one game together. Doesn't really feel like anything would benefit from that kind of design.

Isnt that the tradeoff for literally every sequel?
No because I'm asking for a new adventure, with a new concept.

Galaxy 3 just feels way too soon. I want a new 3D adventure Mario that isn't another Galaxy.

SUPER SONIC GALAXY!!!!!!

The title alone just sounds like a standalone Sonic title than a crossover lol

Well, with all that said, which style of Mario game would you all prefer to be next?

This goes for both a possible 2D one, or and 3D one.

I'll take either or, but if they're doing another 2D one please do not do another "New" game.

I personally prefer Super Mario 3D World over Galaxy. Co-op in 3D World is a big thing for me and I prefer platforming action over a nice looking world to explore.
I'm hyped for Triforce Heroes for a similar reason. I generally prefer the 2D Zeldas over the 3D ones.
