Yeah! Ike is the only big, strong senpai Takamaru needs.Takamaru and Chrom together?! What rubbish is this?!
[nervous whistling]Am I only one who noticed the typo in the thread title? =P
It should be "The legend starts anew April 8th"
Don't act all innocent.[nervous whistling]
Quiet down, you'll just give the fangirls too many ideas.Yeah! Ike is the only big, strong senpai Takamaru needs.
Gotta say that Greninja looks pretty boss. Takamaru VS Greninja and Takamaru VS Sheik would be great to watch. 83Well, Taka wasn't revealed as I've expected since earlier this week. Oh well, either an E3 reveal or being showcased as a post-launch unlockable are the only options left. At least, Greninja poses himself as a possible rival for our favorite samurai.
Silly boy, Takamaru doesn't attack with close combat, teleport, fight with water, attack with a tongue scarf, or shoot watery shirukens.I think that Takamaru took a slight hit from Greninja...
He's not out of the race, but he seems to have his chances be a bit lower.
At least he could use kunai instead since they are arguably deadlier than shiruken.I have to say that, after seeing Greninja throwing shurikens yesterday, my hopes for Takamaru were pretty much destroyed.
I don't.Wait what, you guys really think Takamaru is dead?
How about thinking dirty like his nose bleeding habits? That's true. Ninjas are all about fighting dirty, something a samurai never does.
Yeah, but... Shurikens and the ability to disappear... Those should be Takamaru's stuff.Ninjas and Samurais are different things.
Takamaru can still make it.
This is small minded thinking. Takamaru has how many different means of offense and we're going to get hung up on the idea that substitutes and shuriken are taken? Mind you, Takamaru is traditionally depicted as a samurai and samurai are traditionally defined by their swordplay and katanas over ninja like tricks.Yeah, but... Shurikens and the ability to disappear... Those should be Takamaru's stuff.
Hearing some form of optimism out of you is quite scary my man.The important thing is that this doesn't mean Takamaru is out, and as such we shouldn't loss hope.
I'm more surprised about how calm you are after Sheik was separated, which interfers with our beloved Impa.Hearing some form of optimism out of you is quite scary my man.
Think his chances took quite a blow however. While samurais are not quite known for this shuriken throwing skills, Takamaru quite is. So that's a problem.
Well, it helps not holding up hopes too high. From the beginning, I said the only character I really was expecting was Diddy. Having my most favorite character ever in since Brawl also really helps I guess.I'm more surprised about how calm you are after Sheik was separated, which interfers with our beloved Impa.
Sheik also takes a roster spot for the Legend of Zelda series, and if we are going by the roster size limit by the Mario series, then only one spot is available for another Zelda Character.I'm more surprised about how calm you are after Sheik was separated, which interfers with our beloved Impa.
Which should be Impa.Sheik also takes a roster spot for the Legend of Zelda series, and if we are going by the roster size limit by the Mario series, then only one spot is available for another Zelda Character.
Ganondorf was not confirmed yet. It's probably going to be him.Sheik also takes a roster spot for the Legend of Zelda series, and if we are going by the roster size limit by the Mario series, then only one spot is available for another Zelda Character.
More than likely it is, the recurring villain in a series tends to take precedence. I just hope he brings a new moveset this time, or a more diverse one.Ganondorf was not confirmed yet. It's probably going to be him.
I'm not sure to what degree Greninja really affects Takamaru's chances. If he has, it's more that he's encroached upon the general Japanese aesthetic, which otherwise would have been unique to Takamaru. The shuriken don't seem to be much of a conflict, because Takamaru doesn't use shuriken. His default projectiles are throwing knives, which can be upgraded to fireballs and windmill swords. Takamaru also isn't necessarily an agile fighter - he's a samurai, not a ninja. He's quick with his sword, but not on his feet.
Well, the Isaac and Tingle threads are quite optimistic too.*reading through some of the comments*
Is it just me or has every character support thread except Palutena and K. Rool become hopelessly pessimistic? One potentially similar attack disconfirms Takamaru? For god's sake, they're not even made of the same material... it's a liquid versus a solid... I mean... jesus... you really get much different than two completely different states of matter. Can we at least pretend we're more than a mile away from the grasping at straws stage in character speculation?
