I don't wish the guy permanent injury but damn I'm glad Peyton Manning is out for an undisclosed amount of time.

Yeah! Lions won! Hopefully they can keep this up. Could definately go 2-0 against KC next week at home.

I'm amazed the Ravens whipped the Steelers. Also somewhat shocked at the Colts big loss as well. I haven't watched many games today, so I have no idea what awsome plays took place. I mainly just saw scores and a couple of highlights.

The Giants/Redskins game was amazing, good on the Redskins for pulling off an exciting win.

I'm pretty happy about the Steelers loss.

Romo's INT was so derp. Even Alex Smith wouldn't throw that.

Didn't help that they kept playing Dez despite his nagging injury + Revis Island.

Brandon Lloyd is gonna show these guys tonight how it's done.

Romo lost the game, I was pissed. But, I'm super pissed at one of my favorite Cowboys players: Jason Witten.

How the **** did he not score on that play?

At any rate, Romo's fumble was slightly forgivable, if not horrible. The interception is inexcusable though.

I had Pitt's Defense against a dude with Baltimore's D. My face is stuck in this horror look. I still won by 3 points. :troll:

Was anyone surprised to see the Cowboys choke?
Honestly, that was a bad loss. That's not going to help team morale when they are trying to throw last year out the window. They had it for 3 quarters and it just fell to pieces. The Jets have had a track record as a comeback team, so I knew when Romo fumbled in the end zone shortly after Witten got it there, I knew it was going to be bad. They had the game, and played sloppy. I still believe that they should have run the ball on second down there regardless of what anyone else thinks. I'm surprised that they didn't.

Then a punt block? That's all the Jets needed to see to believe they could win the game. And I'm upset Tony had to throw the ball to Dez in multiple late game situations when he should have NOT been on the field. He lost a few steps and had no shot at catching the passes that should have not gone his way. Tony Romo has to look for other options rather than throw to somebody in double coverage thats hurt. He even said beforehand that the game was on him not making mistakes and throwing balls that the Jets could capitalize on, and for 3 quarters he did an amazing job at that. The Cowboys D looked good until all the corners got hurt >_>

They've gotta bounce back from that one fast. They have to realize they played one of the best teams, admit where they made mistakes, look past it and get their secondary healthy. Thankfully we are playing San Fransisco next week. If they lose this one I'm going to be really mad.

I would be pissed about what happened in the red zone after that. He had a great play, and that wasn't 100% his fault. Sure we wish he would have had one more step because that would have likely put the game out of the Jets reach, but I'm not mad over that play. Btw for the records, I blame the coaches mostly for what happened in the red zone, not Tony. They made a bad call. Romo still lost them the game though. >_>

I honestly don't know what Romo was seeing when he threw that pick. Not sure if he was thinking Dez was supposed to come back or what. Sam time, Dez was hobbling out there...they should have taken him out of the game, or Romo should have been lookin for the mismatch with Austin and Cromartie.

I don't know why people are surprised when Romo fails since it's pretty much all he's been doing his whole career. He's the most overrated QB in the league.

I dunno...Mark Sanchez is up there when it comes to being overrated. He has a good playoff record, but that defense is too good.

How about Cam Newton? That guy was terrible in the pre-season from every standpoint, and then he put up a 400 yard passing game.

Steve Smith is surprisingly really good at the age of 32. Short speedster receivers like him tend to decline faster than any other type of receiver.

Yeah Newton was damn good for a megarookie, especially one in a losing game. Tons of rookie mistakes though.

Patriots: Hey Dolphins, you know what would suck?
Dolphins: What?
Patriots: If you got intercepted on the final play of the game.
Dolphins: What are you talking ab--*injury, no time outs, clock runs*

*Interception*

Patriots: :awesome:

If you want my honest opinion, I think he threw it because it was Dez over there. >_> There was no good reason to throw that ball.

Sebastian Janikowski is a beast! He just tied the NFL record with a 63 yard field goal. It was a nice kick to end the half on.

That was quite amazing to say the least. Glad I watched that game instead of going to bed.

Both teams were sloppy and couldn't flags and trouble, but it was a fun one to watch. I'm sure the coaches of both teams weren't happy at all afterwords though. Practically brawling several times is unacceptable conduct for professional players.

I've always been a Kyle Orton supporter...and while the Denver O-Line was TERRIBLE, you can't go 50% on your completions.

I think he doesn't deserve all the criticism he gets, but at the same time he's certainly not the best. It's rather unfortunate for him that he got traded to Denver in the first place. And to hear the crowd chanting "Tebow" week one of the regular season, that has to get to his head...

Orton is a solid QB. he can win you some games if you give him time and receivers to work with.
and everyone knows that teams win with O lines. Put Brady or Manning behind a bad o-line and they would become much more human.

But Orb, the problem is, so can Tebow. :\
Orton's not bringing anything to the table but solid Backup level QB play. Tebow's mysterious skill set will continue to drum up support if they don't give him a shot to earn the job.

And Manning's behind a pretty bad O-Line, look what happened to the Colts. lol
Brady's line is solid, but they're not what they used to be. O-Line's are crucial, don't get me wrong, but they can't stop turnovers, they can't pick apart a secondary, and they can't lead a team very well.

All you can ask of an offensive line is 3 seconds to pass, and 3 yards a carry.

The rest falls to the skill positions. :\

In regards to that MNF game...Orton was scrambling a lot, which can sadly work in Tebow's favor.

However, Tebow was doing SO BAD in the preseason, he got demoted to third string with Brady Quinn now second. I don't think Quinn would last either cause again...that o-line just fails.

The Denver receiving corp would have been something if they kept Marshall. Brandon Marshall + Brandon Lloyd = best tandem?

Not the best, but a great one.

Brian Urlacher's mom passed away today, that's terrible. He and Ray Lewis are two of the best Mike LB's I've have the pleasure of watching.

This.

Also even though they lost, the dolphins tore up the pat's D with over 400 yds passing of their own.

Between the two, most total passing yards in a nfl game ever.

Horrible Pats Defense has been covered up by what may be the most consistent offense in the league. They've been bad on D for a while.

And Romo's not the most overrated QB in the league, he's just the most infuriating. Even people who don't like the Cowboys find his choking terrible. :\

I'd still take him in the top 15 QB's of the league easily.

And I don't like Bruschi as an analyst. He's not very well versed on the game, and if he is, he's not a very good speaker. Not to mention, he's basically a Patriots beat reporter. Man is always asked to talk about the Pats. Even then he doesn't provide any real insight imo. :\
