*dials Straked...on the year of never.*

:awesome:

Smooth Criminal
The Jags are the single worst team in the NFL and I forgot they even existed until you mentioned them awhile back.

**** outta here. :mad:

On the bright side, they might set an NFL record! For points allowed in a single game!
That silver lining! They should throw the game and hit triple digits.

Yeah, I felt really bad for that corner who went down. That was just unfortunate. He has the year to rest up though.

Good **** Jacoby Ford. Way to quit on the play.

That is who I was talking about. Also our main returner. This game really hurts bronco cuase we really exposed them. Play smart defense to limit the run/option and exploit tebows bad passes. Then when its fourth quarter keep press on. He wasn't making passes because he is special but because people played prevent which he just ate up. As soon as I heard we were still pressing the recievers on that final drive I knew we won. If tebow wants to have any more success at all he better learn how to pass like a pro qb or he won't win more then 4 games a year ever anymore

Seahawks choked, but I kind of wanted that to be honest. Too young of team to trust late in the game. Theyre gonna stack 8-9 in the box late in the game vs Beastmode all the time. Atleast in most our games we were competitive, better than getting blown out like we used to all the time.

Do you take a QB high in the draft since the Hawks will get the 8th or 9th pick or so? Do you dedicate to Tavaris another year and see how it winds up? I think theyre a good QB and another good DE away from consistently competing for the NFC W and possibly a deep playoff run. I just don't see how much improvement a 4th or 5th year guy or however many years he has can make so much more strides so I don't envision him getting much better, but just getting carried.

That is what I was saying! Thats why it was almost nice to see us lose in the fashion that we did.. competitive enough to be optimistic, disappointing enough to see clear mistakes. Missed out on 2 game winning drives. And Pete Carroll is pretty secret about who he keeps and who he lets go. Hasselbeck played great in the Saints and Bears playoff game and got the boot. I think Tavaris would make a good backup. Let Charlie go since I doubt you can even get a 6-8th round draft pick for him. Anyone have the number on what draft pick exactly the Seahawks will get? I heard the rumor is around 8-12 I think

I know we didn't do fantasy, but how about we all try out the fantasy playoff challenge?
http://challengegames.nfl.com/landi...gn=PC_HP_more_now_signup&module=HP11_more_now

What is it? Read this because it explains it well:

Pick the NFL players who you think will perform best in their actual NFL playoff games.

You may pick a total of eight (8) players per playoff week: (1) QB; (2) RB; (2) WR; (1) TE; (1) K; and (1) D/ST.

You may select the same player multiple times assuming that his team progresses through the playoffs. The players you select for each week will accumulate fantasy points based on the Scoring System below. Also note that if you keep a player in your starting lineup for multiple weeks, you earn bonus multipliers that can help earn you even more points!
Player Selection Deadline

Be sure to make and confirm your picks prior to the kickoff of each player's game.
Scoring System

During each weekly scoring period, you will earn fantasy points based on the statistics accumulated by your chosen NFL players using the following scoring system:
Scoring Notes

The fantasy points accumulated by each player during a playoff week is multiplied by the number of consecutive weeks in which the player has been on your roster.

For example: A user selects Tom Brady, NE in the Wild Card round. Brady earns 15 fantasy points in the first weekly scoring period therefore the participant is awarded 15 points for the first weekly scoring period. If NE advances to the Divisional Round and the participant selects to keep Brady on his/her roster for the second consecutive weekly scoring period, and Brady earns 20 fantasy points in his Divisional Playoff game, the participant will earn 40 points for the second consecutive weekly scoring period (20 x 2 = 40). Those 40 points will be added to the 15 points earned in the first weekly scoring period for a two-week total of 55 points (15 + 40 = 55).

In addition, a user can select Tom Brady, NE in the Wild Card round even if the New England Patriots have a bye into the Divisional Round. In this case, the user would not earn any points for the Wild Card round, but would then be eligible to earn double points in the Divisional round, since Brady was on the team's roster for two (2) weekly scoring periods.
Now I've heard there are 3 main strategies for this:
1. Pick all the best players each week. Problem is you may have to replace players a lot, and not get many bonuses since people will get knocked out.

2. Make your whole roster one team you think is going all the way. Example: Load up on all packers.

3. Load your roster up on two teams, one AFC and one NFC, that you think will make it to the Super Bowl. Both teams will have the max multipliers if they make it, and its not as risky as 2 because if one loses, you still got the other team.

I'm going with strategy three.

New topic now. I say we should all take a crack at guessing the playoff bracket and see how accurate we all are.

NFC

Wild Card
#6 lions vs #3 Saints =Saints win
#4 Giants vs #5 Falcons= Giants win

Divisional
#3 saints vs #2 49ers = Saints win
#1 Packers vs #4 Giants = Packers win

NFC Championship
#1 Packers vs #2 Saints = Saints win

AFC

Wild Card
#3 Texans vs #6 Bengals =Texans win(I WANT the bengals to win as a steelers fan, but I dont think they will)
#4 Broncos vs #5 Steelers = Steelers win

Divisional
#2 Ravens vs #3 Texans= Ravens win
#1 New England vs #5 Steelers = Steelers win. Will be one hell of a game though.

AFC Championship
#2 Ravens vs #5 Steelers = Steelers win in a close bloody battle like all of these Steelers Ravens games are.

Super bowl XLV will be Steelers vs Saints. I was right last year with Steelers Green Bay; lets hope I go 2-0 with my guess :D

[collapse=NFC]Wild Card: Saints > Lions, Falcons > Giants
Divisional: Saints > 49'ers, Packers > Falcons
Champsionship: Packers > Saints[/collapse]

[collapse=AFC]Wild Card: Bengals > Texans, Steelers > Broncos
Divisional: Ravens > Bengals, Patriots > Steelers
Champsionship: Patriots > Ravens[/collapse]

Super Bowl XLV: Packers > Patriots

There's many possibilities like those we've mentioned before but I just gave out hard predictions.

Here is my attempt at the playoff bracket. Don't forget about the new overtime rule in making picks. I bet at least one game endures it.

NFC:
Wildcard
Saints over Lions 41-17 :( (At least the Lions made the playoffs!)
Falcons over Giants 30-21

Divisional Round
Packers over Falcons 32-24
49ers over Saints 27-26

NFC Championship
Packers over 49ers 26-20 OT

AFC

Wildcard
Texans over Bengals 20-10
Steelers over Broncos 27-17 (Steelers will get points from turnovers. I predict Big Ben gets pick 6'd once though)

Divisional Round
Patriots over Steelers 26-24
Ravens over Texans 34-13

AFC Championship
Ravens over Patriots 31-23

Superbowl
Packers over Ravens 34-23 (I predicted the Packers vs. Ravens since July. Sticking with it)

NFC:

Wildcard
Saints/Lions -> Saints
Falcons/Giants -> Giants

Divisional
Saints/49ers -> Saints
Giants/Packers -> Packers

NFC Championship
Saints/Packers -> Packers

AFC:

Wildcard
Steelers/Broncos -> Broncos
Texans/Bengals -> Bengals

Divisional
Patriots/Bengals -> Patriots
Broncos/Ravens -> Ravens

AFC Championship
Patriots/Ravens -> Ravens

Super Bowl
Packers/Ravens -> Packers

The thing that frustrates me the most in predicting NFC is the Packers/Saints defense. So inconsistent. They need turnovers to seal their deals if the offense struggles even a little bit (though Packers offense is quite broken), and both offenses could easily turn the ball over on a single mistake. The Packers' lack of a run game also makes me hesitate, but not too much.

I see it as last year - Steelers vs Packers.

Because we've seen Ben hand Tom his behind this season and Tom has been terribad in the post season after that spygate scandal.

But then . . . I know ravens are Steeler's nightmares. And I'm fairly certain pats could beat ravens. The whole AFC seems to be a rock paper scissors deal

What a MESS I just want pats to die off early. :glare:

I'm going for the best offences on each side. I just think that the saints have the best offence w/ Drew Brees and that will carry them through the playoffs. Just as long they don't hiccup in the playoffs again, I think they should take it all.

Ravens have never 3-0d us in a season, and they have never beaten us in the post season. We aren't scared of them. They only beat us by 8 seconds the last time we played.

Also Mendenhall=Torn ACL :(. I have faith in Isaac Redman

I was in Cleveland for the Steelers/Browns game this week.
Allow me to say that I thought I hated the Browns before. No. NOW I hate them. Worst fanbase ever. Messing with Steeler fans minding their own business (and I mean physically, not just verbally), being loud and vulgar with kids around, etc. I guess I'd be pretty salty if my team was complete **** too, but wow. It was really bad.
Anyway, I'll hop on this prediction train.

Not trying to contradict you, Mav. Obviously wanna see the Steelers run the table. But I feel like the team is way too beat up to go all the way. I think the Packers repeat.

And I don't mean to ruin your day but jets are not making it. Need like 4 teams to lose, and they're probably losing to miami.
Yea i wasnt expecting them to make it anyways. no team can realistically expect that much to fall in place for them. Plus with what Mcelroy and Sanchez have been saying bout what went on the in the locker room,...
They honestly didnt deserve to be in the playoffs.

Like I said, I think we'll have a good shot IF Ben is 100%, especially if we beat denver.
Just have like 20+ point lead in the 4th. you should be fine,though it sucks that Clark(i think its clark.) cant play due to that blood disease.

I'm counting on that Denver D to make some plays... especially their corners. Most likely, Steelers will be throwing the ball as quickly as possible, so I don't expect to see many sacks without some good coverage.

Terry Bradshaw said to cut Santonio Holmes. Third string QB Greg Mcelroy said something along the lines of the locker room being a mess.

Getting called out by your third stringer...ouch.

whats worse, getting called out by a rookie QB who was on IR the whole season.

Denver has nothing left in the tank imo. I agree with ESPN that the way the AFC West went down was really embarrassing. More embarrassing than the NFC West last year.. Two teams fighting for their playoff lives and they play like that? Wheres the ALL HE DOES IS WIN GAMES now hah! (I like Tebow, but I also find it funny when Stephen A mocks Skip after a Denver loss)
