Brady was good in 07 until the Giants game, it's more like he's choked in every playoff game since blowing out his knee. I think the Ravens have the best chance to come out of the AFC as a result of that and NE's defense being non-existent. The AFC is just a race to see who gets to be slaughtered by Green Bay, San Fran, or New Orleans anyway though.

Dang this game is tight. We will see if it is going to be Big Ben time or Tebow time.

Shoot, Champ should have got that interception.

Looks like it is Tebow Time with less than 4:00 mins to go. Here we go.

YES! Touchdown on the first throw. Wow. Nobody thought the Broncos even had a chance.

Dude I don't even know if that can be said. Everyone thought they would tonight. All I can say is I am sure the next game will be competitive.

If Denver can play as well as they did tonight they have a good shot, going from playing the best defense in the league to the worst...

I still think last years Seahawks game was more stellar of a win.

But, now I can only hope.

Lolz, Tebow throwing for +300 against the best pass defense. I'm glad I was wrong about this game. I was tired of seeing the Steelers being in the playoffs. Congrats to the Broncos.
I was 2-2 on Saturday on 0-2 on Sunday on my predictions :p

Steelers weren't playing like the #1 D though. Did you see how many times James Harrison fell for the option hand off? That guy is a total scrub.

Belicheck was the first to shut down Tebow after Denver went on their winning streak. Plus, they'll be walking into New England so...it's setting up for a harsh game. Nevertheless, you can easily say that this season is a success and Tebow will have high expectations going into next season.

Also, I'm sick and tired of crappy division winners getting home field. Much as I love my NFC West, Seattle had no business having home field with a 7-9 record last year.

Actually I think what killed Denver in the last meeting were there turnovers before that they were riding the momentum. After that they mentally checked out of the game and it snowballed from there. They are also coming off of this win all fired up. I am not saying they will win, but I do not think it will be a blowout.

I think it will be a blowout. You're being naive if you think teams "check out" after turning over the ball. Look at what the Saints did yesterday after two first half turnovers.

We will just have to see. I do not think Baltimore is set either. Just trying to say Baltimore and New England are not invincible.

Baltimore is undefeated at home. There's a good reason for that. You don't want to go there and play. Crazy crowd, Ravens become more intimidating, and play better.

As happy as I am about Denver the real surprise was how well the Giants did. If Manning and the team plays like they did against Atlanta, Green Bay could be in for a challenge. After all the Giants have a history of beating unbeatable teams.

Fair point, Ryan Clark also couldn't play

Didn't Denver rush for like 130 yards in the first quarter? <_<

Plus, they'll be walking into New England
Where NE has lost both of it's last two playoff games, also reputed to be one of the quietest stadiums in the NFL. I don't expect field advantage to be the difference, NE is well conditioned and weren't going to gas in Denver like most teams, and I think Brady and Belichick both feed on negative energy

I think the pats win it but I don't necessarily think it will be a blowout or a decisive victory, if Denver avoids turning the ball over like they did last time it could be a close game

Denver scored 16 in the first half vs NE. 3 in the second half. Tale of two halves.

And NE is 7-1 at home, and I don't know where you've heard about Gilette stadium being quiet. That place looks like a hell frozen over, especially if it's snowing.

And you are right, home field won't be the difference. It's just gonna add to what New England can do.

Here is an interesting note about the Denver-New England game. New England just resigned Josh McDaniels as the offensive coordinator(?) and the very first team he is going against is Denver. With his two draft picks under center from his tenure as the Broncos head coach, Tim Tebow and Demarius Thomas. Wow.

I kind of wanted to see the Steelers go for the preposterous field goal even though I hate them and wanted them to lose. I figured, hey, this way if they win, I got to see history happen. And apparently they had a better shot at that than whatever the hell they were trying to do with that last play in the 4th.

Regardless, holy **** dat OT.

Cold improves the acoustics but the point is that NE fans don't make as much noise as some of the other cities, it's much louder in Denver for instance. It's also pretty cold in Colorado and this winter has been fairly mild here so I don't see that being a factor either

I've heard it in a few places in the media but I've also observed this myself, I watch every pats game and a few other games each week. The loudest Gilette stadium gets is when people start booing...

Bill O Brien is still offensive coordinator throughout the playoffs, McDaniels is now an assistant and will take over next year.

Why do all OT games end on the first or second play with a TD? Seems like it's so common.
Because even after 4 quarters, the Steelers defense didn't show Tebow respect. You can beat the Patriots, who have publicly said Tebow is very good, will get respect in the passing game. Tebow made some awesome throws, but that overtime was Ike Taylor continuing to get exposed and the Steelers D expecting the Broncos to be conservative

Kind of funny, Skip Bayless has been saying all year even during the wins, that they are being way too conservative about Tebow and when to let him throw. And the whole John Elway speaking before the game and such about pulling the trigger.

Also, I want to take half credit for the Broncos win. As they won the coin toss in Overtime, I did the Tebow IRL for good luck. And it brought results immediately.

What. #1 offense that has options in both run and pass game against a terrible D vs. offense that is only amazing at running the ball and still struggles to pass except when CBs forget how to cover people. >_> If the Saints make a mistake, they have the firepower to make up for it, not true at all for the Broncos.

So, I have boycotted the NFL and not watching the playoff games really sucks; looking at the stats page just doesn't cut it.

This is all your fault, Goodell!

Also, I think the Pats will trounce the Broncos, Ravens beat the Texans, and haven't decided yet on the NFC (Giants always seem to have a big upset in them and NO and the 9ers should be real close).

And that says what about a team's mentality in regards to "checking out"? Doesn't matter what kind of offense, defense, special teams you have. You should never be "checking out" of a game. All that says is you are weak and prone to giving up, which is very uncharacteristic of Tebow let alone the entire team. In fact, remember Tebow's first start this season? Down 15 to Miami late in the fourth? After Tebow had put up abysmal numbers. Yeah, the team should have just quit there right?

49ers vs Eagles week 4. Down 3-20 at the end of first half + one turnover. Win the game 24-23.

Remember back in 2006? MNF, Bears vs Cardinals. Bears down 23-3 late in the third. Best time to check out right? Nope. You don't give up until the last minute, and they end up winning 26-23.

Oh I thought you meant practically, not mentally. They should definitely keep playing the game. Better for the Steelers to know they didn't finish the game at 23-6 and took it all the way to overtime.

And no one should ever check out against the Eagles, just wait for them to make a dumb mistake. Don't have to wait very long. :glare:
