Sorry for the late reply. I woke up too early for that presentation and had to take a nap otherwise my brain was gonna melt. Anyways I forgot about that part of Ground Zeroes. I still feel like the general themes of the series isn't as focused on gore or violence as Doom. It's mostly about war, espionage, being a soilder, and loyalty, but whateves'.
I'll admit I had no idea Bayonetta was as violent as she is but I already didnt want her in Smash to begin with simply due to her final smash same with Joker, and I've felt odd about Snake's inclusion since 2006 despite loving Snake and Metal Gear. There's definitely a line and I don't like seeing it crossed. It's bad enough that just about any character can get in now which has robbed the series of A LOT of its charm.
But at the end of the day this is just my opinion, I don't want Doom Guy in Smash, or MK characters, heck in fact I don't even want anymore third parties at this point.

Even though he has muffin hands they gave Terry Kirby gloves, ffs. So my prediction is that fighter number 5 is going to have a shoestring budget because they spent it all on Terry.

Yep. The 3 most likely spots for the final character to be revealed would be the December 7th for the anniversary, the VGA, or a post holidays direct in January. Could be a real big dry spell for a while

We have BAYONETTA in Smash, the definition of sex and violence.

Sakurai was being sarcastic because he thinks CERO is unreasonable. Basically, he thinks Mai should have been in Smash but CERO was completely uncooperative due to their strict sex issues. Hence his sarcasm. He had a similar problem with Palutena and a Wonderful 101 trophy in Smash 4.

Really the only thing Doom Guy has that Samsh doesn't like is the Blood and Joker proved that you can have a gun and replace the blood with stars.

I've said this before, but Sakurai is keen on keeping characters to their original roots. Bayonetta can get away with slight censoring of her hair clothes because, since even if there is no full nudity when she unleashes [im not gonna attempt to say the damn thing's name], the original idea that it consumes a portion of her clothing is still there, albeit reduced for ratings. Mai Shiranui uses her big jugs as an actual tool to beat other people by distracting them with their mighty presence. If you censor or remove that, you kind of lose a piece of the character, and if you have to sacrifice some key character traits, why include the character at all?
Doomguy can still be violent and not have blood and have the original idea intact. He's a violent demon slayer, but you don't need blood and gore to emphasize that much in his fighting style. The absurd violence is an aspect of DOOM itself, not Doomguy specifically.

Yeah. Just because you shoot someone in Smash with a shotgun doesn't mean they need to realistically fall over as their head is blown away. They just get knocked back like you pushed them.
