So... 45 minute long livestream. No new fighter announcements, and no new modes. 6.0.0 is very unlikely to be significantly improved over 5.0.0 beyond the Fighter Pass and Mii Costume stuff. What the hell is this going to be like?

No, seriously. Is half of the stream is going to be just a history lesson with SNK? A huge Mii Costume dump? Is Terry a galaxy brain character who’s absurdly complex? Is his stage super crazy?

I still think we’re getting a January reveal. Prepare for Drycember.

That seems like way too many Mii Costumes to be true, I'm calling BS there. Why the hell would Sakurai negotiate a deal with Bethesda, Activision, and Disney of all companies just to get some measly Mii Costumes. These aren't companies that are already in the game and this isn't a Toby Fox situation where getting the rights to a costume would be ridiculously easy. If he's gonna go through the trouble of getting the rights to a character from a big company, you best bet he's gonna be coming out with a character or nothing.

On one hand, Crash Bandicoot music, but on the other a likely bizzare looking Crash mii costume. I Think I'm fine without Crash music.

There's no outfit, it's litterally just bandana Waddle Dee in full as a helmet.

Now, of all the characters that shouldn’t be Miis, Sora and Crash should not even be on there, Sora especially! You go through all of that legal trouble and to get music just for a costume?! You may as well made him as a character at that point, same goes for Crash!

I mean I can kind of see Doom guy as a Mii costume, Geno and Mallow are pretty self explanatory, the others kinda seem a bit random, and Bandana Dee oh salt from the Kirby fanbase. Oh that would just burn!

I just don’t believe this honestly. One, I’ll be honest and say of my bias for both Sora and Crash since they are two of my most wanted, two they would doubt go through all of that for Sora just for a Mii costume and not make him playable and three the other ones just don’t make much sense! The only one I can possibly see getting the Mii costume treatment would honestly be Doom guy from this and even then I don’t think that would happen!

I never believe text leaks, but honestly, a ton of Mii Costumes getting revealed at 30 seconds - 1m a reveal certainly would help explain the length of the stream. Any new character reveal couldn't be more than a 2m trailer anyways, so even if there were to be a reveal (and there won't be) it couldn't explain the abnormal length of the stream.

People cannot seriously think that Sakurai is this out of touch after everything he has already done with Ultimate, I don't even understand how people are giving this 4chan post more than a chuckle of "Nice try dude" in terms of pissing off literally everyone in the world.

It's worth stressing that Sakurai certainly isn't literally personally negotiating with all of these companies any time he wants a Mii or a trophy or a full-fledged character. If he wants something in as a Mii costume, he undoubtedly has lawyers and other people who handle that. It shouldn't require that much effort from him.

Screen fades up onto normal game being played, when a 5th player appears - Mario in his Mario Tennis outfit. Sakurai acts surprised, before announcing that the "Premium Costume" system is not exclusive to Miis, and they are also releasing them for certain characters. Sakurai mentions that these will not be other characters or new designs, and only redesigns for the characters from the games themselves. The first wave consists of:

- Mario Tennis Mario (Mario Tennis)
- Racer Peach (Mario Kart 8 Deluxe)
- Wedding Bowser (Super Mario Odyssey)
- Hyrule Warriors Sheik (Hyrule Warriors or Breath of the Wild)
- Classic Sonic (Sonic Mania)
- Street Fighter 5 Ryu and Ken, seperate (Street Fighter 30th)
- Octoling Inkling (Splatoon 2)
- Garou Terry (Any classic NeoGeo title)

These costumes will be available free of charge if you have the game mentioned above linked to your Nintendo account, otherwise they are the same price as Premium Costumes for Miis. They all come with 8 colour palettes and new renders. Sakurai then says that more will be coming in the future, then breaks into English and says "but I do not know which ones", emphasising the which. Possibly hinting towards Bayonetta 3. Music is not specified.

End of Costume segment.

Sakurai then asks the viewer what they are thinking of the game itself, and asks if they're doing well in Quick Play. This leads onto an announcement of a more serious ranked mode, with a full ruleset, which will be voted on soon. This will launch in February 2020, with more info later.

Sakurai says that more information is coming. There is no character announcement at the end of the stream.

While I don't believe this leak, you have to admit that this could befall the Miis we saw. I said it earlier when it first came out, this could easily be a "Sans" situation

So I did my analysis and...it looks fake. I mean, it's just a wall of text with little proof.

If it's fake, way to troll the fanbase.

If it's real, it's a disastah

I don't believe Activision and Bethesda will release their characters like Miis, nor that Nintendo would trade for anything so little.

If we’re really not going to get a character reveal at this presentation, then I think the next best bet is that Fighter 5 gets revealed at the Game Awards!

End it where the DLC for this all started would be a great way to finish off this first fighter pass!

Crazy prediction that explains why it's 45 minutes, and is for sure never gonna happen but I think it would be awesome if it did:

Subspace Emissary Remastered

The entirety of Subspace Emissary from Brawl is ported over, with the levels visually remastered like the regular stages (and possibly changed to account for moveset changes) and the cutscenes touched up for HD. The story and cast of characters are the exact same, but now the new/returning characters not in Brawl can be used when found in secret areas (like with Wolf, Jigglypuff, and Toon Link).

... again, obviously not happening, but as someone who has a lot of nostalgic love for Brawl, I would **** my pants out of excitement if it did.

This premium costume leak is completely stupid and I highly doubt Sakurai would do this crap.

Sans definitely wasn’t even a test anyway, he only added him because Toby Fox met with him and impressed him with his Smash skills, and Undertale is popular, especially Sans.

As for the jiggly Mallow hat and Cacodemon releasing with Terry; since they were still in testing, it’s possible they’re being saved for later.

Sakurai challenges other major game creators to matches. The winners get their character in Smash as DLC.

Toby Fox was the test run.

Even if he was a “test,” this timeline of events still makes no sense, as these presentations are usually recorded months ahead of time. There’s no way for Sakurai to have known Sans was a success in such a small period of time and already have all of those licenses negotiated and mii costumes created.
