Honestly I'd love just about any echo possibility for Snake or just Metal Gear content in general. Still thought a Metal Gear REX boss fight should have been in world of light.

As cool as it was to see Subspace bosses back, the secret base REALLY should have had a Rex fight, or even just a Gekko.

Samus' bust was changed as her Ultimate design is generally more realistic of someone in her position as seen with her more muscular build in Ultimate

I have nothing against his fans and I wish them the best of luck; the more characters we have, the better, IMO. I truly believe that any character who ends up being playable in Smash deserves it, and I'm glad that it'd end up making some people happy, regardless of haters. Smash has a habit of making characters I normally wouldn't care about interesting. With that being said, that doesn't change the fact that Geno is hilariously overrated and wiggity wack. I know the reasons why people want him (no need to explain), but I will never understand his hype, no matter how much I try to. I'd even prefer other original characters in that game (e.g. Smithy or Mallow) and I'm a little surprised that they don't get as much attention.

I grew really fond of the idea of the female Mach Rider in Smash especially (though nothing wrong with male MR). A badass 80s biker girl with a gun just hits right and the colorful design was super cool. It doesn't help I have a Streets of Fire poster hanging in my room so you could say I have a thing for that aesthetic.

We need more unapologetically 80s vibes in Smash. Mach Rider, Double Dragon...

I fully support Mach Rider as they're my most wanted Retro rep by far maybe Sukapon is close to him with that but even then I would prefer Mach Rider a million times over I love the idea of a character using a motorcycle throughout their moveset instead of one move so Mach Rider could be really interesting with guns and motorcycles.

Plus they have that red and blue color palette I just love. Mach Rider would be super fun and super cool.

So last night I had a dream that I was in the subway surrounded by people with low-poly skulls, and dream me thought that somehow meant Manny Calavera from Grim Fandango was confirmed for Smash and if dream me isn't the perfect representation of the speculation scene I don't know who is.

It's very weird that people try to argue for Liquid Snake as Snake's echo fighter when Big Boss or even The Boss makes far more sense. I know Snake in Smash is a super weird amalgamation of his MGS2 suit, MGS1 aesthetics, Peace Walker Big Boss's face, Venom Snake's rocket launcher as a Final Smash, and weapons from Metal Gear 2, with a smattering of Naked Snake's camo and CQC, but c'mon.

Galaxy brains argue for the lame version of Raiden as a Snake Echo.

There's an 'Individual DLC' section on the Smash Bros. site that only lists Piranha Plant thus far. I always assumed that that is where they'd put Echoes (at a discount), special promotional picks outside of season passes, etc. before additional DLC outside of season 1 was ever confirmed. I don't think 'Jane' was scrapped; releasing her alongside Joker (even as an alt) would've been too soon (we knew next to nothing about her at the time, and it would've taken the spotlight away from Joker). There's two P5 games coming out (P5R and Scramble), and she can kick off echo fighters being a thing post-launch much like Joker did for the season pass. I imagine cross-promotion like this being very feasible: preorder P5 Scramble now and get a Kasumi echo fighter free in Super Smash Bros.

About Metal Gear I'm still thinking that 4 alt skins for Snake based in Big Boss was so easy to do. You don't need to change Snake that much. Or maybe something like this:
- 1 skin based on MGS1 or MGS2
- 1 skin based on MGS4
- 1 skin based on MGS3
- 1 skin based on Peace Walker or MGS5

The other 4 skins would be different colours and references to some characters.

Also I would love The Boss as a boss fight, she's one of my fave characters but Smash usually goes with big bosses for that so a Metal Gear boss fight would be very cool. At least she has one of the most hardest spirit battles hahaha.

Also, on Kasumi as a Joker clone: I could see her being a slightly weaker and slower Joker with longer reach. She'd trade out Eiha for Kouha (Curse for Bless, think Dark for Light), and beyond that would basically be identical (I could see her getting a different Final Smash, since Joker's uses assets from a different game [read: a video of a PS4 game]. She'd come with no stage, but 5 songs (Colors Flying High [Kasumi reveal/credits], Take Over, Blooming Villain, Keeper of Lust, and Will Power) and a spirit for each of the Confidants in Persona 5 (minus the playable cast, Igor and the Twins, that's 12 new spirits + the Fighter Spirits for Kasumi). I dunno about her as a pre-order bonus, though. She's very unlikely to have anything to do with Scramble: my guess is that if that were to be the case, she'd be packed with Persona 5 Royal, or for a game we know is coming Shin Megami Tensei V as a promotional gimmick [pre-order for a download code for Kasumi in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, get easy Persona fan and Smash Bros. TO sales. Basically a new-age "featuring Dante from the Devil May Cry series". They'd get more if they brought it to PS4 but I'm not Atlus].

For alts, just put in the other Pikmin captains and I'll call it a day. Wedding Bowser, other Snakes, Conductor Toon Link, there's a bunch more I'd love but the captains are what I'm gunning for.

I'm pretty satisfied with what we got for 3rd partys/new series right now and with Sakurai saying this will probably be the pinnacle of smash games regarding the number of fighters, I'd like them to fill the hypothetically 10 remainig slots by "filling the gaps":

Ngl I HIGHLY doubt 2B will be chosen as a character to represent Square Enix, considering the fact that we've gotten minimal content from them and they usually licence out their biggest names for Smash (Well except Geno but he's heavily associated with Mario) and 2B is from one of their more niche franchises? Nah, I don't think they'd go with her. And with Nintendo picking the DLC I can't see them going for a character from a franchise with no history or roots with Nintendo. (Even Cloud and Joker have had a presence before their inclusions in addition to having long-seeded roots)

My guess in regards to the Persona stuff is that Sony likely has an interest in keeping the main series Persona games on their systems (and we all know how Sony is with Nintendo to the point that a Sony owned character is only slightly more likely than a non video game character)

That being said, I buy prioritizing multiple Dragon Quest games versus prioritizing gender swaps for Hero. Even if some would prefer the latter.

It's not like they couldn't have done both at the same time. They could have just made 2 or even 1 of the Heroes purely female instead of adding both gender swaps.
