Yeah that's absolutely true. I've been convinced there are only 'MGish' characters, such as suggested above with Arle and Sakura.

Though, I will ask again---------
Does anyone know another fighting game where I can do this? Especially if I can be Sailor Moon v Cardcaptor Sakura v Madoka Magica v Precure.

Prime 2 is also great. It's definitely more cryptic and somewhat harder. I do think the game could do a better job at 'guiding' the player in certain moments of the game, tho. But it's an excellent game.
The Prime trilogy is fantastic and the quality of the 3 games is high if you ask me. One of the best trilogies out there.

There's a fighting game series called Arcana Hearts, where the characters (especially the main one, Heart Aino) are pretty much magical girls. Heck, there aren't even any male characters playable, they're that dedicated.

Man I can't wait until we get Sailor Moon, Madoka Kaname, Homura Akemi and Ryuko Matoi (With Satsuki Kiryuin as an echo fighter) as our final DLC characters.

The last one wouldn't work because Bakuzan ain't the Scissor Blade and Satsuki has a much more graceful fighting style than Ryuko.

Oof. I get why that would make sense considering the inspiration, but gender/race locking classes is one of the most annoying things an MMO can do. Especially since there's no technical reason for it.

Yeah... Mario, Zelda or Pokémon getting time limited releases has kind of a pass (not really, but well) in my eyes because those series aren't in a delicate state. You can't really say that for Metroid nowadays even if they're bringing back the series. Maybe a limited Prime Trilogy would sell even better, but playing this trick with a series that needs a big push and better sales to keep existing, would feel very stupid from Nintendo's part.

Pikmin 3 didn't get this treatment but I don't know if that's because they know Pikmin isn't Mario, or just because they're doing this limited thing with anniversaries. Which worries me because yes, Zelda 35th anniversary is next year, but some people forget that it is also Metroid 35th anniversary, and the supposed Prime Trilogy re-release shouldn't be very far away at this point. That is why I'm worried they will repeat the same trick but with Metroid, and while that could make the game sell even better, I'm not entirely sure you can pull off the limited time thing that well with Metroid.

Also, regardless of being time limited or not, I'm hoping for the Prime Trilogy having a decent improvement in terms of visuals. Not asking for a remake or anything, but a HD treatment, better resolution and performance and faster load times would be nice. Not even bother asking for better textures or anything like that, but if Retro is in charge of the re-release I'm somewhat hopeful for more improvements.

there really wasnt. Considering this is a Korean game, They could of made it a girl idol / male idol character but chose to make it only a girl. I tried playing her when she came out but it was too girly for me so I deleted her and made a Kaiser instead

Now you are speaking my language. There some animes that the magical people are boys, Pretty Cure had a Magical boy Pretty cure..... who only showed up for one episide and one season and was never seen again.

For games, Im not sure if there is any sadly. I mean, unless you count sora as Magical boy

Sora is not a magical boy, he's just a boy who uses magic.
Yeah, I saw that episode of Precure. I just wish the sexism present in the genre didnt relegate any magical boy into becoming a super sentei, instead.

Some of WW's unique items becoming a part of Toon Link's moveset would've also been great, but much like with how Ganondorf only got a few reworks again, complete overhauls weren't given to them so that people who were used to playing them in previous entries wouldn't be alienated or have to adjust too much.
