Reminds me of how some of the songs in Xenoblade Chronicles X don't quite make sense. Don't Worry is particularly bad in this regard, and apparently the German songs sound really silly as well.

That's Sawano's thing, especially with the German songs where they don't know how to pronounce German. Like with Blumenkranz.

If we're giving Xenoblade a shot again, Pokemon would also have to go into the mix. That seemed pretty obvious to me, anyway. Don't know why you're upset over it. I get I said "I don't think Rex has it", but I don't think Pokemon does either. Either we speculate both or none, but that's just me.

Fighter's Pass 1 is still selling, though. You don't get Pass 1 if you buy Pass 2, the costume bonus still holds weight.

These are just a few off the top of my head. It's been a pretty damn solid generation with lots of great games. Lets see what the next one brings.

I’m a day late but I’ll join since I love talking about my favorite games. The first half of this gen was REALLY weak especially since my two favorite game series (Halo & Mass Effect) got hit with GARBAGE games. But the second half has made up for it. There’s still a couple games I need to play that I think could make this list like Dragon Quest XI, FE: Three Houses & Ori 2, but this is it for now.

If he’s happy then who cares. He’s a grown man in a position of power. If he truly needed a break, Nintendo would give him one. He created two of Nintendo’s most valuable IPs, they’d give him whatever he wants.

I think a lot of people don’t get Sakurai’s sense of humor. I think a lot of the “I’m tired!” Stuff are just jokes. Nintendo wouldn’t actually put that in promo material if it was a legitimate cry for help.

Me: "An "Everyone is Here!" would be cool for the Marvel Vs. Capcom series! I'm sure that's feasible right?"

But yeah, a close enough kind of deal would be pretty cool, though I think they'd benefit a bit more from focusing on newcomers, though adding in a few key favorites from Marvel Vs. Capcom 2 would be great.

Especially if one of them is Mega Man (Classic).

On top of that, “Everyone is Here!” Only happened because they were able to reuse ALOT of stuff from Smash 4. You can’t really do that with Marvel vs Capcom since a lot of its cast is left in the sprite era.

Best case scenario would be a 58 character roster (2 more than MvC2!) with a lot of reuse from MvC3/Infinite, with some returning MvC2 favorites (Cyclops, Captain Commando, etc...), modern characters (Ms Marvel, Miles, Nero, Dragon Dogma’s Arisen) & classic characters who’ve never shown up before (The Thing, Nightcrawler, Leon, etc...).

Also worth noting is that you can ONLY get the Rex costume if you buy pass 1 in its entirety. If you buy one individual character like Hero I do believe that locks you out of the pass and you’re forced to buy the rest of the Pass 1 characters individually. And also, he’s not available for individual costume purchase like Sans, Travis, Cuphead, etc.

Personally I think that’s really damning, but that’s just me

on a side note I’m surprised they didn’t edit his spirit battle to do the Cuphead thing and replace Shulk with a Mii Swordfighter if you own pass 1. Didnt they do that with one of the KOF Miis?

Alright. I've been convinced. Rex's done. DLC Mii Costumes disconfirm, and while Rex does have a different scenario involving his, it makes more sense that it makes it matter more rather than less.

Which brings the potential 1st party characters too...Literally just a Pokémon from whatever big game they may plan for next year.

Dude, you're in a thread desperate to deconfirm every single first party and Rex in particular. Of course people would cling on to every single flimsy reason the rest of the pass absolutely can not be anything but Crash/Dante/Doomguy/Sora.

As far as I can find, its listing on Nintendo's shop does not allow you to purchase it, only saying that it's included in the Fighter's Pass bundle.

So there is no way to buy it. It doesn't have a pricetag. It's as much of an incentive as the Nia mii costume is an incentive for buying Smash Ultimate since there is "no other way to get it". In other words, it's a free bonus.

I suppose it wouldn't be inaccurate to say that it's both, but it is more there for marketing purposes than it is as a freebie. Hence why Rex being a costume in this way matters more than the typical DLC Mii Costume, which is already a death sentence: If you were to add the character, you'd lose that purchase incentive.

If the costume that was thrown into the DLC fray, as a means of an incentive to purchase the pass and also a solidified "Rex isn't coming to Smash Bros. Ultimate", and then a year later make a new pass with Nintendo focusing the list down. Can it happen? Yes. So can a lot of other things, and space is limited. ARMS being chosen does seem to give him a glimmer of hope, but what hope was already there is basically fool's gold. It's clear we can't convince each other of what we believe, so let's just agree to disagree.
