Sounds to me like the perfect time to remember that actual insiders have gone on record to say that no one with connections/actual info touches Smash leaks with a ten-foot pole, because Smash fans are Like That.

Mario's side special changed to Cappy where pressing the button throws Cappy and pressing it again makes Mario dive towards him. He can also use Cappy to reflect projectiles.

Also, it seems that in the recent hours a major Chinese store has listed a Ninja Gaiden Trilogy (the 'modern' ones) for PS4 and Switch . They've already removed it from the website tho, but we have this. If Jon's tweet is really some kind a hint, maybe it's because of this?

Holy **** I hope this is real and we're getting a modern Ninja Gaiden trilogy remaster. I've been begging for one for years ever since my Xbox died so I can finally replay these games, here's to hoping they're on PC.

I don't remember the context and just slapping "Jon" in the search bar to sift through thousands of results isn't something I care to do. Thinking about it now, it might've been Metroid Prime Trilogy that did it, but I could be confusing Jon with another insider.

Is anyone going to answer my question? I am curious.

It is difficult to compare Ring Fit to Splatoon, but Ring Fit is quite succesful. I'm skeptical about them being a lock, but their chances seem pretty good to me for Smash 6.

Game is probably going to sell as well as Splatoon 1 when all is said and done, which is absolutely phenomenal for a console-exclusive new IP. Plus it's by EPD, and it's not like the number of big name first-parties who still aren't in is sizeable at this point. Bar's pretty low.

ARMS got in with less than half the sales. So Ring Fit is sitting pretty.

Yes, I'd redesign Sonic:

B, Up B and Down B will stay the same - not Side B though, which could instead become the Boost. A short ranged burst of speed that quickly stops if it doesn't hit. Sends at a decent launch angle, not completely safe on shield.

I'd also redesign many of his ball moves to reduce ambiguity and give him a more offensive focus. Besides forward air becoming Sonic Eagle (forward kick) from Sonic Battle, Neutral Air would become the insta-shield from Sonic 3 and the dash attack would be the slide from the Adventure game onwards. Would also redesign his animations a bit so he has a bit more flair and attitude to him.

Dug deeper into this:

The leaked image does claim a PS4 release, while one of the Weibo accounts posted another image claiming a NS port. Both it and another Weibo account mention a possible March 2021 release. The second account is the one I usually follow when I want to gauge Chinese reactions on Switch stuff. The leak was also reported by A9VG, a Chinese video game website / forum which specializes in Japanese / Western games.

(Do be aware that this is Weibo, and when clicking on an account name or scrolling too far down it will often lock the screen and ask you to register using a Chinese phone number. AFAIK this is not a thing that most Chinese sites do. If this happens, opening in another browser or another session is a workaround, albeit it's irritating.)

I'm just kinda scratching my head here because, while this does 'look' promising, we really don't know how the site functions since, frankly, has anyone here even ever paid the Archive any mind at all? For all we know, the page could update all the time and we just don't realize it.

Although, I personally don't know if it consistently updates like that. The fact these updates have been more frequent leads me to believe that it's a regular occurrence, but I don't know for sure. There's no defined history related to this, and it's hard to go back to collect data like that.

So at this point, I'm going to guess last week was a coincidence, but we will see.

Also, it's not difficult for anybody to do this. If you're in firefox, just hit the lock icon, press the right arrow next to "connection secure", and click "more information". Then click the "general " tab and find the "Modified" row. It'll show the date and everything. Although, I'd make sure to do that in incognito mode as some previous website cache gets loaded from your last visit, and can influence the date. Incognito mode prevents the previous cache from loading and you get a more accurate modified date.

Totally fair, he could have stepped down in addition to being hounded by people on and off-site, which tends to happen when someone is wrong. It's kind of happening with Dusk Golem, who was also a mod before admitting to some extremely biased framing with his information.

The "zero tolerance" thing is likely a holdover from Neogaf, but even they exercised bias in the past, like with Crazy Buttocks on a Train who was just a shared account among insiders which eventually got banned after being wrong multiple times to take the heat off the actual insiders. If anything, Resetera seems to be more lenient on that front, or at least they'll buy into plausible deniability more even when it's really not warranted.

Honestly, no character feels like a lock for the next Smash right now. Actually, the only character in Ultimate who felt like a lock was Inkling, and that's because the IP did so well that Nintendo was quick to transform it into one of their most marketed franchises.

I choose DK. His moveset have basically no representation of what his franchises is about. His neutral special should be throwing barrels, his side special is charging with Rambi and his up special he should be in a launching barrel. His final smash also needs to change, although I don't really have any idea on that one (the bongo was a cool idea on concept but it made DK looks weak). I'd also change his taunt to showcase more the funny side of his personnality like making him dance or playing the bongos.

His final smash also needs to change, although I don't really have any idea on that one (the bongo was a cool idea on concept but it made DK looks weak).

I think his Final Smash is fine as is, at least with the given source material. It's a reference to Donkey Kong: Jungle Beat, which is kinda cool, and the only other thing I've seen suggested is him punching the moon onto people. While that's a decent idea, the logistics just seem odd since he'd either have to have Tiki Tong randomly show up and explode or just say that Donkey Kong is able to jump up into space.

Actually, scratch that (I'm too lazy to erase it myself and start over). Have him jump in some sort of jumbo or high powered barrel (perhaps the rocket barrel from that one level) that launches him into space, then he punches the moon at you, which bounces off of the ground and launches back to orbit. You control it the same way you control End of Day.
