This is an obvious hint, he's hinting at something related to the fighters alligned to those numbers - Villager and Incineroar.

Clearly this means that the FP7 trailer will take place at the Boxing Ring since Villager appeared right at the end of Incin's reveal trailer. :4dedede:

It doesn't have to be a hint or anything, but if it was, I doubt it's Smash related.

Also, it seems that in the recent hours a major Chinese store has listed a Ninja Gaiden Trilogy (the 'modern' ones) for PS4 and Switch . They've already removed it from the website tho, but we have this. If Jon's tweet is really some kind a hint, maybe it's because of this?

The only one I've truly gotten as of yet was Diddy Kong in Brawl. Keep in mind there are a small amount of characters I wanted that got added later at which point I fell out of interest with them, but Diddy Kong was the only timely inclusion. I don't even like using him.

Honestly, I would be very happy if the Terrarian gets a spirit event, because at least they would be in Smash in someway, even if that confirms them.

I think non-event spirits don't deconfirm at all.

He's the reason we knew about all the FF Ports + The Kirby Yarn 3DS port.

He's also a Mod over on ResetEra

He's also the person who coined the phrase "What, no Dash?" in regards to the last Game Awards, being a cheeky tongue in cheek reference that TGAs wouldn't have Smash.


But actual CHARACTER leaks? I can't recall.

I'd say it'd be even more interesting if the Koei-Tecmo character in question was somebody most people didn't expect to see in Smash like a Dynasty Warriors character or William from Nioh. Because of places like this forum, twitter, etc. I pictured in my head how people would react to Hayabusa and Ryza having a Challenger Pack with 1 basically getting a lot of people satisfied and thinking he's cool while the other would garner a lot of eyes on her and the series she comes from. The possible reactions to somebody from Dynasty Warriors like Zhao Yun or Lu Bu interests me a lot cause the Musou genre is 1 of those things that people either really really enjoy or really really don't, and with William, he would catch a lot of people offguard because Nioh is a series that is probably never coming to the Switch anytime soon. It probably helped that those 2 franchises aren't as mentioned as often as Ninja Gaiden and didn't get some buzz from a fake leak like Atelier did.

I don't know how legit this is, but judging from how the supposed Trilogy is supposed to be the modern adaptations like you've mentioned, wouldn't they use a logo akin to the modern games instead of the classic 1s?

Yeah, looks like two of the Weibo (Chinese Twitter) accounts that follow Switch news picked up on it. They deleted the image apparently according to one of the accounts.

I'm not familiar with GSE (the ones that posted the image) at all - apparently it's Game Source Entertainment, a web retailer based in Hong Kong. They have an Asia site and a Japan site.

(The mistake is fully understandable, I also thought that GSE was Mainland Chinese. FTR, the main Chinese retailers are Alibaba, JD.com, Tmall / Taobao and Suning - the latter three of which sell Switch consoles officially.)

Wouldn't be surprised if they did, but I'm not 100 % counting on it because the TOK one was relatively recent.

If you wanna get real technical, he called an ARMS character and Min Min in particular about a year ago, but that was more likely than not just speculation.

It was probably reserved for the Mario tournament announcement, I think we are looking too much into this.

If there is no spirit event/tournament this week, then things will get interesting.

Fair point, but at the same time, he still got stuff right, stuff that no one could predict.



I'm not saying this leak is even a leak, I'm pretty confident he's ****ing with people because soo many people are both A) desperate right now, and B) hang on every word Jon says since, he's leaked stuff in the past


But he has leaked **** right in the past, so to say he's not/never was a leaker is false.

Jon doesn't leak things so much as he "predicts" things he's heard. So sometimes it's hard to tell. But if he gets pretty out-there stuff right, he probably heard about it beforehand.

Like all those old FF games coming to Switch. Or Kirby's Epic Yarn 3DS.

Occasionally he does just tease things though. Like he teased Aces before it was revealed.
