Seriously though, that month was miserable. A whole month of "It's definitely happening this day," and, "It has to be before that day."Watch them pull a Hero and reveal/release the ARMS character on June 30th for maximum trollery.
A majority of that month was just people speculating a release date.

Someone leaked the spirits recently, 2 of them are fighter spirits. Take it as a grain of salt until the Arms fighter is revealed with spirits.

idk, ppl have been speculating Arle, Axel and Crash as playable and i think this list was made just to piss fans of those characters off

Not buying that Crash / Spyro would be packaged into one Spirit event either.
Yeah, SNK is not going to double dip themselves - not when SamSho and Metal Slug got content in alongside Terry. If SNK opens the door to anything it would be Tencent (due to Tencent being very friendly to both SNK and Nintendo at the moment). But I'm not hard commiting on them since the only thing that could possibly point to them at the moment is Smash renders being used to introduce the Switch and Nintendo characters on Chinese social media. And that's far from the strongest evidence. All that really says is there are likely plans to release Smash officially there.
I do agree that Microsoft, S-E, Bamco and Capcom are the likeliest "double dippers". Could see Sega - there's a case to be made for both Arle and Kiryu outside of the demand question. Konami feels like too much of a question mark, though. I don't think that demand is going to be the only factor here, although it's likely going to play its part on several characters.

- Random Sega Spirits implying a Sega spirit event. Also odd, but still plausible.
- Paper Mario Spririt event. Pretty much guaranteed to be honest.
- A Crash Bandicoot and Spyro Spirit event with only two Spirits each. No way.
- A Shin Migame Tensei Spirit event. Plausible, though why now?
- Tibby is the fighter of Challenger Pack #7. Well that settles it. FAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAKE!

As if this coming from 4chan wasn't enough reason to doubt the leak, "Origami King" is not a character. The character's name is King Olly.
Hasn't the origami king been confirmed to be called Olly? If so then that leak has shot itself in the foot from the first few seconds I read this.

It pretty much is pandering to them as well, they're rooting for Max Brass to be the ARMS rep so the ARMS rep isn't proof spirits/ATs can be DLC fighters.

I heard from a very reliable source that the characters of this Fighters Pass would be based off of the 7 deadly sins.
These characters are:
- Max Brass (ARMS) for pride
- Kratos (Super Meat Boy) for wrath
- Tails (Sonic the Hedgehog) for envy
- Leif (Animal Crossing) for sloth
- Conker (Conker's Bad Fur Day) for greed
- and Bread (I am Bread) for gluteny

Nope. I originally put Meat Boy here because Super Meat Boy is a rage game, but I decided Kratos would be funnier because it wouldn't be as fringy with the logic, and forgot to change the series name.

I actually would prefer that (since I'm a sucker for new stuff, go figure. Case in point: I did kinda want to pre-order Okami HD on Steam partly so I could get the Amaterasu courier for Dota 2. Alas, didn't happen). But I'm not going to sulk if Spirits / ATs are in fact promotable, and I symphathize fully with those who want to see Spirits / ATs promoted.

The things that make me doubt the most though are that the Origami King has an actual name, King Olly, and that Rythm Heaven would get a rep after many years of inactivity, but even then it's not the first time we'd see a mistake when it comes to spirits (such as Masked Man) and a character from a currently inactive series as DLC (Banjo & Kazooie

You really think the Sega event is plausible? They've never put in new spirits from different series in the same event. The implication that SMT wouldn't be part of that event but would come later on kills it for me.Now I'm not saying I am a firm believer of this, but I do see it as being plausible.

I think pretty much every member of ARMS's cast is pretty well liked. The only character I see people being actively not ok with are Spring Man (often for reasons that have nothing to do with the character), or Springtron because he's a less visually interesting "not" version of the character.

Let's say we do get a general SEGA spirit event to coincide with the 60th anniversary and they can only put 4.
Wouldn't It make more sense for those four to be Alex Kidd (Master System), Sakura (SEGA Saturn), Ryo Hazuki/Ulala (Dreamcast) and Opa Opa (Arcade era)/Kyryu (Modern day)??? That would actually be expected from an event celebrating the Evolution of SEGA.
I see the ""leak"" putting characters so common on speculation such as Arle, Axel or AiAi that I just feel the creator didn't really know much about SEGA history, looked at the SEGA characters brought up in speculation by people such as Papagenos and characters from recently released titles to just call It a day.

I mean, none of those characters fits it anyway. Bayo's relationship with Jeanne is as chaste as they come, Samus never showed physical attraction for anyone and Palutena is teasingly flirtatious at absolute worst.

If they were developed by a single team, I'd say it's in the realm of possibility but as far as I know, that's not the case.
ATLUS is pretty independent of SEGA so it would make sense not including SMT content to a SEGA themed Spirit event. It's still fake, though.

Actually, I believe you get infractions (or at least warnings) for censor dodging (which includes censoring yourself instead of letting the auto-censor censor you).
