Do y'all ever feel like the spirit events are like a slasher movie monster, taking out franchises one by one? Honestly it's a lot of fun, reminds me of the Brawl Dojo where reveals showed up a pretty much at any random time.

I feel like it’s just Galeem still going at it in other gaming universes.

But yeah, like a horror movie for sure.

I really thought Kunio would be that sort of Terry under the radar pick.

Honestly speaking, I would rather have my personal wants be spirits; rather then not be in the game at all.

Same, but for a different reason. I don't think I have the patience to wait two years to find out if my most wanted is playable or not. Rather just rip off the bandage and get it over with.

Yeah, December 31st of next year feels like a "breathing room" date, just in case development isn't going as smoothly as they hope. Assuming Fighters Pass 2 goes at the same rate as the previous one, I'd expect everyone to be out (or at least be revealed) by next year's E3.

December 31st is also a very common placeholder date.

That's honestly kind of disappointing (I literally defended this video while it was getting ****), but I'm glad it was just his reaction that was faked. He didn't lie about his disappointment, which is good.

I did call that he was just putting on a show for his audience (and all of you doubted me), but I didn't know to what extent. I knew he was hamming it up, but I didn't know it was completely rehearsed.

Caling a prediction now: this won't be our last brush with Arcsys. It would be super weird if RC was all they got into Smash considering their vast history.

What series are you predicting to get a Spirit Event? Resident Evil was a bombshell one, I still feel like we got of few more "safe" characters that are gonna get Spirited Away.

Really would like Travis as a character, but I have this gut feeling that No More Heroes is going to get a Spirit event.

I'm sure this has been talked about before already (and if we have recently, I'll just delete this part of the post), but I wanted to bring attention to the remaining DLC costumes from Smash 4 that have yet to be carried over:

Heihachi
Lloyd Irving
Monster Hunter
Rathalos
Geno
Gil
Chocobo hat
Regular hoodie

We're still missing some non-DLC outfits, too (including the Swordfighter's Neon Suit, which is my personal favorite), but the fact that we're missing both of the Monster Hunter outfits makes me feel like we can expect an MH rep among the second pass. Or maybe these will all just be forgotten, who knows.

It's pretty ****ty that we have to repurchase all these costumes to begin with, but a part of me still hopes that we get the Gil outfit back at some point, just because that's such a cool reference to a relatively obscure game, and I'm a sucker for that kind of stuff.

The Capcom costumes just seem to be releasing in increments because there were a lot of them. If there are any new ones, the MH costumes might get paired up with them. Or they might just drop alongside an unrelated wave, like all the Mega Man ones have.

There are a lot of possibilities.

What I think is more notable is that none of the Namco costumes have been released yet.

I don't really get where he's coming from with this though. The video was pretty ill-advised if you ask me. I mean, yeah he successfully pranked us, but it also lowered his reputation in the community since a lot of people thought it was real for quite a bit of time. I don't know why he kept up the lie for as long as he did, but whatever lol

I'm with you, but for me personally, that's been confirmed ever since he was revealed as a Spirit.

At this point in the game, I feel that there's no question that Spirits deconfirm, but I'm sure that's still considered to be a bad/controversial take by some.

Again, you can see him rehearsing it, and the take that wound up in the final cut was shown with no editing between the other takes. It was definitely faked, as weird of a thing that is to do.

He doesn't just claim it. He proves it by showing previous takes recorded just before the video we saw, revealing that his anger was rehearsed and played up for the camera.

You know, like I've been saying the whole time.

It's definitely a weird thing to do, but you literally cannot argue that he's lying, so I'm not sure why people here are saying that he is. Are you just bitter?

I miss when Smash character design was more about how to make an actual fighting game character, and not so much about trying to replicate how they play in their home series.

It's the reason why I can't play characters like Mega Man and Ryu, despite very much wanting to, because I don't care for the mimicry. It's good for fanservice, but not good for actual fun gameplay.

No doubt I won't get what I want, though.
