I'll be honest, I kinda dislike the idea of leakers deconfirming characters. Mainly because it kills speculation and peoples hopes and even if a character isn't gonna be in the game, it is always fun to see more characters be talked about. Also I worry this will make people think "They will never be in Smash" and stop supporting them in defeat.

This seems like him desperately trying to save face. Vergeben may be sketchy after the Guess Who ended with an astounding "no one", but Sabi has flat out been caught in a contradiction.

Yeah, the January 16th announcement was just for Devil May Cry 3 updates and not Smash.

He could still have a chance for post-pass but don’t count on him for tomorrow.

I never wanted KOS-MOS personally. I just thought she was it.
Now my gut is saying double reveal. The brown is strikingly similar to the Doom color scheme, and a DMC developer said to mark January 16th on our calendar.
If I had to put all my money on one character, it's Dante. But Doom Slayer, Dragonborn, Crash Bandicoot, or Monster Hunter would not surprise me.

Exactly. Although the evidences are undeniably favorable, the DMC team is throwing too much hype on the smash reveal date on Twitter. Even Dante's voice actor leaked some info about him being in Smash, and to be honest, that's smeels kinda fishy to me. There's no secrecy and that's not how Sakurai usually play. For me, right now, there's a 50% chance Dante is character 5, but maybe they're trying to lure us to reveal someone else. Guess we'll see soon.

Dante's voice actor, Reuben Langdon himself, said something about the character getting into smash?

I think it'll be close to what we got with Terry, which was a near shadow drop but not exactly. Doubt Sakurai is going to show off the character(especially if it's hype) and be like "Ok everyone, have fun waiting until February 25th"

Doesn't necesarily means that you really want that particular character, but the song or OST making into smash will still be BLISS.

Sakurai is a hack because we all know that no "Super Smash Bros. Ultimate" could ever come close to topping Melee HD. And even then, Melee HD would not be as good as OG Melee! Why even bother making Smash anymore?

I'll have you know that if you're wrong I will personally hold it against you forever. Smash is high stakes; no place for a wee lad to be wandering off to. You must be good enough to always be right.

On a completely unrelated note, the best game Sakurai has ever made is Kid Icarus Uprising; fight me Smash fanbase.

Doesn't make sense as not only is the character being revealed in the presentation, but it's going to the Sakurai gameplay demonstration right after it and when the gameplay demonstration videos go up, the character usually becomes available later in the day or 24 hours later at the latest(based on Joker).
