Wait...we're cool here, right? I was just making a short comment in passing that a word generally meant to be used in the plural sense should stay out of singular territory. Otherwise, things can get confusing.



I'm not here to debate the functionality and practicality of the English lexicon. I'm actually here to talk about Smash, as crazy as that sounds. I just had a quick sec to make a silly remark.



Speaking of which, I'm kind of disappointed that we don't get a Christmas present in the form of a reveal. I was looking forward to that going into the holiday break.

IDK about death threats but the amount of vitriol from some in the community is unnecessary TBH and quite frankly makes me feel a bit uncomfortable as an observer.

At the end of the day, it is a game despite how passionate we can be about Smash. We don't need to continously mock and ridicule people over whatever drama takes place here. It's not cool.

Anyone still down for Pokemon talk? Felt like making another list and decided to rank Pokemon this time. There's so much potential in a lot of these Pokemon as full-fledged fighters.

I honestly wouldn't object a fighter pass of just Pokemon.

Pokemon as a franchise arguably has more character potential than any other series to date. Sadly, a lot of really unique characters get glossed over just because they're a Pokemon, and we supposedly have too many of those.

I don't think anyone aside from Gen VIII Pokemon have a decent shot of getting added, but a lot of these would be great additions.

Same goes for Fatman. He said on the Geno thread that he's been getting death threats. I mean, seriously? This is how low we've gotten as a community? Embarrassing.

I'm starting to wonder if you guys are part of the group that's been harassing folks and sending people death threats over video game rumours. It's honestly pathetic. Then you think that it's okay to do so because you're anonymous.

I get that people are annoyed about the VGAs and all the leaker drama, but can we stop with this? Cutie Gwen brings up Fatman any day of the week just to hate on him. Give it a rest already. It's "Fatman this, Fatman that". I'll admit, I don't believe the guy and I tend not to take him at face value, but you guys have been harassing him and Sabi ever since the VGAs. This thread constantly says they're done with leaker drama, but they keep getting involved in it. If you want to stop, just stop giving them attention! Simple as that. I just can't believe this thread sometimes, when this is the way that they act towards others. What happened to "treat others how you want to be treated?" I guess it's okay to treat you guys like garbage, then? No? Then don't do it for Sabi and Fatman.

Obviously my words are going to fall on deaf ears, but at least someone will listen, step back and say: "Hey, maybe I shouldn't send this guy a death threat! Maybe I shouldn't constantly harass this guy for months on end, and bring him up constantly when it's not needed. Maybe as a grown adult I know better than that."

Here's a topic for you guys to talk about: FP5 is probably gonna be a curveball. So what's going to happen for post-pass DLC?

1. Smash 4 type DLC - in-game trailers, character/stage and music. No spirits.
2. Fighter's Pass type DLC? Cinematic trailers, plenty of music tracks, a unique stage, and their own spirit board.

Look at the bull**** drama that surrounds idols and whatnot.

You can't really escape it, so I wouldn't be surprised to see it here.

Hell, I just watched the Girlfriend Reviews video on Call of Duty and they (unsurprisingly) ran into it.
During the time they were getting footage, one of their encounters was someone declaring "I'm going to kill your grandma in her sleep."

Took off from work for a day for basic dr appointments and a vet appointment for my dog so I wasn't on here to see if any new rumors were around. I log on today and see the forum on fire. Smashboards may not be nearly as toxic as gamefaqs, but they have their own set of problems that make me question my affiliation with it.

Yeah, i'm going to have to agree with this. Death threats are a dime a dozen especially in the social media age. **** like this happening in the gaming community is just a poor reflection of the world we live in.

I'd be damned if someone actually tried out these threats, of which I've never heard of or seen. You know what happens when you try to pull it off? Years in prison. ****, you gotta be so angwy and have a lack of common sense to actually do it.

I'm expecting them to be average threats you'd find off of salty Xbox 360 messages after you beat 'em in CoD.

I don't think it's entirely Sakurai's fault. I doubt Game Freak has really done much to convince him that the non-starter Pokemon could be unique too. Plus, starters are usually safe and guaranteed to receive promotion.

But yeah, something besides a starter would be nice.

Nobody is seriously talking about death threats here, nor has any one given them out from this thread as far as we know (and the terms of service on this site would have likely resulted in a swift ban if that was the case). People have gotten fed up with the bull**** surrounding people who are "leakers" or have "additional information" and will take occasional jabs at them, but SmashBoards itself hasn't really escalated and certainly not in this thread. I don't doubt that Fatmanonice got some, but people have to remember that his commentaries also got a lot of attention on places like GameFAQs and 4chan that probably came out of the wood work and are likely responsible for such abhorrent behavior.

IIRC, uttering death threats can be a criminal offense but IDK how well it's enforced.

People should be smart enough to realize that what they say on the internet can be tracked and they'll be held accountable.

I'd prefer if people talk more about the post pass DLC, especially since there is a possibility we might get a duo reveal of the fifth fighter with the first post pass DLC.
