this doesn’t necessary mean augomon will be post dlc character 1 or Fp5

Shocking news could be anything

Well, just under an hour to find out if we're getting any type of Smash Direct tomorrow.

If not, then it's a near lock we're getting a regular Direct Jan 8th/15th.

How do you know if it isn't the 9th, 16th, 22nd, 23rd, 29th or 30th?

Bruh,

This is like, one of the earliest memories I have of Smash speculation back in 2005 on my Dial-Up internet.

IIRC, there was this website that was filled with complete bogus rumors about Melee and how to unlock characters beyond the 26. Does anyone remember that site?

Because Nintendo usually does their regular Directs on a Wednesday or Thursday. It's usually been Wednesday's lately so i'm assuming it's the 8th/15th but if Thursday then 9th/16th. Nintendo also doesn't do Directs that late in a month unless it's PKMN.

Its also in V-Jump, which is not typically where people get gaming news. You're jumping the gun; it's probably just the announcement of a new anime movie or a brand new digimon manga.

I never said it would be 100% for sure an announcement for Smash Bros.
I just imagine there are chances.

V-Jump did a similar tease in April for ‘Big News’ to be featured their July issue earlier this year, just for pretty much nothing of interest to be shown.

Yeah Japanese PRs tend to overhype many trival announcements.

I remember when one year ago Famitsu teased a "world-shaking" news for Splatoon 2 and a month later we found out that it was just a standard Spy gear or whatever added to the game

Normally I'd dismiss such things but the fact that "Shocking" has extra emphasis has me intrigued. Is there a focus on an electric pun in the original Japanese too? We've been steered wrong by translations before.
