Nintendo gave a list of characters to Sakurai to choose is a fan theory. In his Famitsu column, he clearly stated that Nintendo asked him specific characters if he can make it viable or not. There is a possibility of Nintendo chose characters to cater Sakurai's preference but the dude is a gaming maniac. He loves a lot of games. I can tell that's more than people here not even recognizing Terry or KOS-MOS.

I've actually been trying my best to block out the memory of Tora, his entire human maid fetishizing bloodline, and any other Nopon in 2 entirely. It helps that much of the Nopon's involvement in the storyline amounts to nothing but filler and that Torna didn't really feature any main character Nopon.
remember when xc2 gave us an entire filler chapter focusing on tora of all party members right after the uraya chapter
And remember when Bana was brought back later on as a villain for no good reason, had you fight his stupid maid robot all over again, and then had it blow for what the game tried to play out as a serious and emotional death scene, which then was only further undermined when Nia revealed that she has the power to bring back the dead?
Maybe not to the same extent, as Lucario got a movie, but I think they're shaping it up to be a major Pokemon. It's the only Galar Pokemon with an upcoming G-Max form.
I get that this is satire and probably wasn't intended to be a fully accurate re-telling of everything that happened, but....
I doubt we'll see a movie about it, but I wouldn't mind for it to be so. It's a really cool design.

It is 100% inaccurate; I just roll with whatever quotes I come across in this thread and put them in an original Batman parody narrative; the first few chapters spawned because people kept asking who Fatman was dramatically (and out of context, it was hilarious/ confusing to people out of the loop, myself included). I should probably add a Law and Order disclaimer like "The following story is fictional and does not depict any actual person or event." But thanks for the clarification.

I'm not sure if something changed recently, though I remember myself creating a Niconico account years ago, and it worked, it allowed me to watch videos on the site.
Too soon to say. It's certainly popular, but there's no telling how long it'll last and whether or not Game Freak will continue promoting it going forward. I know a lot of people consider the Gigantamax form to be a big deal, but that's something that will come just as quickly as it goes. We need to see a continuous flow of merch and promotional material like Mimikyu got. Also doesn't help that it wasn't revealed prior to the game's release, so Pokemon like Wooloo, Yamper, and Corviknight already have a leg up on the competition.
There was a sidequest involving Sheeba (blade in the floating bathtub) where she gets scammed by Nopon, so she gets out of the bath tub, walks up to one of the Nopon and ****ing football kicks it into space and that's probably the best optional sidequest I have ever done because of that alone.
He's leagues better than Tatsu though. The joke was only funny when Lin actually got him into the pot. Other than that he's just Riki, but without actually doing anything useful, causing his "I'm the big hero and you're the sidekicks!" attitude to be annoying instead of endearing.
Would Nia be able to heal Poppi though? She's not alive from a scientific standpoint.
I mean, Nia would have been able to save Vandham, but due to I guess the mercenaries' code of honor, he wanted to die an honorable death and she respected his wishes

Nintendo Direct in January revealing MCC on Switch and Chief as Fighter #5.
The user who posted it is a pretty prominent leaker, who also goes by the name of King Zell. He accurately named a bunch of games that would be announced in a Nintendo Direct, including the Link's Awakening remake and Mario Maker 2. (though I'm not sure if he specifically said that it would be a Link's Awakening remake, or a 2D Zelda game in general - still looking up sources on those)
