As I said in there, the "thank you" theory can be applied so widely that it's ultimately meaningless. Sakurai has A LOT of people to say thank you to, and the reasoning for narrowing it down so much is entirely circumstantial, and not even a month after the guy said "it's more important a character is fun than recognizable". And that's even assuming the theory is right, which is reaching on its own.
The amount of times Fatman has changed his story on this doesn't make him or his theories look very reliable tbh. You're not supposed to work backwards from a line of thinking to look for reaching clues to justify your own biases, your supposed to come up with a theory that can stand on its own.
