Because if I were scum I wouldn't target super obv town because obv town would be easily docced. As a doc I would think "Who would scum want to kill?" I wouldn't go too deep with it lol (Like over-thinking), I'd just go light to avoid wifom and just be like K that's my choice for tonite. It also depends on what happened during the day. So just a town read which isn't my strongest would be a good pick and better than slightly better than random, in my opinion. If no one was acting town enough (Take an example, Gheb's GS3 game) I would prolly choose someone who wasn't townie at all, and was not really connected to much people as a doc, in the case of that 'lol no info ' kill.



Also I wouldn't try to use it as a half investigative role because for that to work I'd have to get a protect in first lol.

Overall this was probably one of the fastest games I have ever seen. Scum team was great, and I feel town could have done better if JTB hadn't been outed so early [so he could offer experience and insight from a town perspective]. I disagree that any one person in particular was the downfall of the town; instead it was just a combination of quick lynches, good scum plays, and not enough thinking on the town's part.

@John: I meant the flavor. We'd have to change the actual setup ofc. Cavestory is rich with role possibilities that weren't touched on (Misery, the Doctor, Ballos, Kazuma etc.), so I'm just saying I feel like it could be used again at some point to good effect for a game down the road.

Yeah, you basically had the same theory I did: just instead of doccing the second most town player you suggested the least town player (who could still be considered town).

Yeah I'll bet. This is the only time I've pulled straight doctor so far. It turns out Ryker was roleblocking me anyways, so at least my shame was largely nonconsequential though educational.

I disagree that I was an easy mislynch just because of one bonehead response early on. I think I played decent, and smart people could tell I was town. I only got lynched because of a series of dumb**** town plays, like Loli voting her strongest town read, and Badwolf hammering me on a ****ing whim. The fact that I was still a #1 suspect by the end of the day blows my ****ing mind, because the only "scummy" thing I did was actually such a null tell, in reality. Everybody thinking being jumpy = 100% scumtell is ridiculous, and the rest of my D1 play should have proven otherwise. But instead, I had a vote from a V/LA townie, a V/LA mafia, a vote from the other wagonee (who openly acknowledged that I was a strong townread), and then I got hammered by a petty person who was buttmad over me not cooperating with him, not because he thought I was scum. Toasterbrains was the only person whose vote on me felt like a real vote, by the end of the day, and he was just plain wrong.

It's like people weren't even thinking about what Vote: actually does, so they just threw their votes on me because it would make them popular. Then they end up looking scummy for voting me, because I flipped town and their reason for it was so terrible. This game was a joke.

You need to get a thicker skin. You have got to learn not to let things get to you and you have got to try and put yourself in other player's shoes. They do not know your alignment and they do not know what you were thinking. They cannot be expected to take your word for it if you've done something to make them think you were scum. If you don't learn to take yourself out of it, you'll stay an easy mislynch.

Add "and you need to learn to read."

At the end of the day you still have to PROVE that you are townie, even to babies. Sometimes lynches can be stupid, it happens. Just try to learn from it and try not to get caught up with the details of your own lynch. Things like that shouldn't happen in a normal game. So get into a normal.

Like I said, some lynches can be dumb, especially in newbies. It's happened to me before. Read Newbie 11 and see why I almost got lynched for being painted as scum for a reason I couldn't understand at the time. It happens. You just gotta try to move on and hope such a thing doesn't happen again. Just keep acting townie yo, and start playing in a normal where 'ridiculous' things most likely won't happen.

Your salty? There will be more salt in the future. (but not for just being a mislynch) But remember we are all here to have fun, and not to make you hate mafia forever. Try to laugh it off and /IN to another game yo.

Eh, I'm not THAT salty, though there is definitely levels of I'm not gonna let it affect my view of the game of mafia. I'm already /In on 2 other games, both of them non-newbies.

I just disagree with the notion that the this game was the result of particularly amazing scumplay. I mean, yea they played fine, but they didn't exactly have to take lemons and make lemonade. The town kind of gave them Instant Lemonade, water, and a pitcher, and they made lemonade out of that.
