Read through briefly in my half hour break. I'm inclined to believe kuz/soup masonry's 'case'.

To believe JTB's case I have to assume:

- Protective role has not claimed for whatever reason, hence no protective role
This is FMP mafia, FMP is a military anime about protecting certain persons with information, no protective roles in this game is just silly - I wouldn't have be surprised if the game flavour rotated around protective roles and had 4 or 5. I'm sure judging this from flavour is acceptable.

Don't buy into flavor. The rules even state this game will revolve around smart play and not flavor.

- Seikend is scum
I no longer have a reason to assume this, please give me one if you want me to vote for kuz.

If Kuz flips scum, so does Soup. With no protective role, Seikends claim falls flat.

- Kuz is mafia roleblocker
If this was true kuz would have roleblocked the soft-claim JTB threw out. I believe he is not the type to miss such a detail. I think kuz addressed this too, not sure.

I've already covered this. At the time, we believed there was a watcher and told them to randomly target myself or Kuz. If the watcher had targeted me and Kuz roleblocked me, then Kuz just outed himself.

- Two main protagonist roles are put out as mafia safeclaims
This just doesn't seem right to me...gut instinct, feel free to disregard. In every mafia I've skimmed through, the main characters have always been role PM characters. Needless to say, Sagara and Kaname being scum is even less likely, to get rid of that possibility.

My safeclaim in Dissidia was that of Cloud Strife, one of the most known Final Fantasy characters. Please oh please disregard flavor.

One point got through to me - what is the likelihood that scum threw out a no kill or targeted ran (and was blocked)? This would undermine the Ran scumread.

Not buying into Ran lynch, I'd prefer to lynch JTB because I feel his scum flip would confirm jailer Soup/mason Kuz, scum Ran, maybe even nurse Seikend, just as much as a Ran scumflip could (maybe more, Ran has not taken strong stances). A town flip would also validate Ran's claim and push pressure onto Seikend. I'm also thinking Tery is quite possibly scum. His claim was for the first listed character on the Fumoffu wiki entry, and seems rather lazy. I need more information on him.

His 'laziness' stems from the fact that it's currently AP testing week across the US, it's perfectly acceptable for him to be less active.

I unconsciously made a little debate in my head and Ran and JTB were on one side, while Kuz, Soup and Seikend were on the other.

Bad reasoning on my part, I didn't read carefully enough. What exactly is the relationship between Ran and JTB at this point?

Kuz would have called Soup out. Kuz has called more people out than anyone in the game, and he directly addressed Soup a lot. He has also changed views on people a lot, so saying he has maintained a townread on him is not a good excuse. I remember a post where Kuz says specifically, 'If I didn't have a town read on you, I swear...', which means he really did have a solid reason for believing it.

I have always thought his read on me was bull****. When he asked me what I thought of it, I said it was bull****. Town shouldn't be throwing around town reads like that. Town's priority is to lynch scum.

Ok, then there may be one. Also take into account that scum fake results by saying they were rb'd. (Hopefully fynal wasn't rb'ed twice)

It could be possible JTB is a diff role. (But JTB has confirmed that it isn't, so disregard this lol) It could be possible there isn't one, but there would have to be OTHER PR's. Look at the flavor. It depends on which game you play. If there weren't a doc role, the scum would have to have weaker powers.

I want a list of the updated claims NOW.

the intent behind this post is to make me question the validity of my own reads. The reason for that is because i think ran is scum, and ran doesn't want me to think ran is scum. Aint workin bro.

In future games you will find that, though claiming vt is safer, you're not giving anyone reason to keep you around. Scum will often claim a semi-obscure PR hoping they won't be CCd or they may claim a common one in the hope that the real one will CC so they can kill him during the Night.

This is why I thought X1 claiming VT was so weird.
