@Fobmescs: The Wii U AND 3DS WILL HAVE DLC. It will happen.
@John: I believe the D-Pad will act as that but I'm as perplexed as you.

Also when I was talking about "extra screen" I meant the tablet for the Wii U. You can plug in an identical GCN controller into the Wii U tablet so that way Sakurai won't have to give up the extra screen.

Um Omega you completely missed the point. What are you talking about a 3DS controller?
Sorry, I misunderstood, you were talking about the handheld Wii-U tablet am I right? Even if that happens I'd still prefer an old tradional controller scheme to play those classic games.

Ewww plugging in GCC into WiiU Tablet? Nasty.

Flaws -

1) Wavebird type lag
2) Tournament problems because massive wireless controller usage

I expect Nintendo would release a more modern standard controller for the WiiU since it's aiming to please third party developers.

I think the idea of plugging an identical GCN controller model into the Wii U tablet is better because you'll at least have the extra screen.

Well I see that, but then how is the Wii-U controller going to function then if it's wireless? Not to mention multiplayer syncronizing and such, how would that work? If it meant plugging a USB corded controller then I don't see why it would create a problem

The GCN should work for the Wii U, but they should also have a successor that doesn't need to plug into that giant screen controller! (jk about it being a giant screen controller)

@ xIblisx
And the new controller won't have wavebird lag, that's for sure. However, the wireless mixup could still happen, but we'll find a way around it. Still, Microsoft and Sony have founds way around this with their controllers, so why can't Nintendo?

And the Wii and DS (from DSi on) have DLC capabilities, but the former barely uses it. The 3DS and DS have good DLC capabilities. The Wii U should have even more capabilities with DLC.

For wired controllers, I'd guess there will be third-party options?
That or players making stuff like they did with Brawl hacking! :awesome:

Either way, it's going to end out working fine, although the competitive community might need to get used to a new controller, especially since the Gamecube Controller was discontinued a few years back.

Yes, Bowser's castle should definetly be on the map sooner or later, it's ridiculous that such an iconic stage hasn't been put in Smash Bros. yet. >_<

*****, where is my critique? Idk how it's going work. That's why I just want a USB port controller so the whole problem is avoided.

Hacking a controller into real life? :I
Yep, pretty much. Hardcore, doncha think=??? XD

And Bowser's Castle, along with an Airship from Super Mario Bros. 3 (or ANY Super Mario Bros. 3 stage!) needs to happen! I've been saying this since before Brawl was announced. C'mon Sakurai-make it happen! We're not weirdos, we're regular smashers! :oneeye:

@JohnKnight:

Yea, but is there such a way to hack controller?

I don't think it should be necessary to do so, it should be released comercially rather than depending on hacks for controller style satisfaction, it's really dumb if one had to resort to such techniques.

Hacking controllers? After all the hacks I've seen and knowing one of that Brawl + makers only lives in a neighboring college I wouldn't be surprised if it happened.

People will hack ANYTHING.

You could hack the system into thinking the USB controller is a controller, assuming you can't plug in the controller into the USB port like you can with the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3.

And it should be done commercially, because there's good money in it, for Nintendo and third party controller makers, and players could get some great new controllers as a result.

Yeah, that's why you shouldn't worry about it. Either Nintendo is going to fix the problem, a 3rd party company is going to fix the problem, or the fans will fix the problem. And if the first two don't fix it, they're gonna miss out on some money they could have made.

People made USB cord plug ins for N64 controllers to play SSB64 online with the N64 Controller work; I'm sure people will do that to future smash games for a long time in order to use the Gamecube controller, although I doubt it will need to come to that now. Maybe on a future console after the Wii U it will.

Good point homie. I'll remember to hit him up.

Yea, I see where you are getting at, but hopefully it won't come to that as the end result.

I loved that orchastrated track you linked up btw, yes more songs like those need to be in Smash 4!!

The Gamecube controller and Melee are nearing their 10th birthday, so yes. (does that make me retro?)
Ha!! I forgot about that, Sakurai should definetly announce something related to Smash during December lol...

Okay here's my roster in image form. I didn't want to overload it (54 characters including Sheik and ZSS). Newcomers are in green. Oasis you may now post a comment insulting the roster.

I put Little Mac in the 3rd-party column because there was nowhere else to put him.

Pretty nice roster you have there, I would probably take out Krystal and include a retro WTF! character instead, other than that I have no complaints.

Also why are there 6 pokemon reps?, we might not get that many, get rid of either Lucario or Mewtwo, we probably aren't getting both, just one.

Oh wait..ahem Black........Kn

It won't Omega, thankfully. Nintendo is smarter than that.

Seriously, everytime Bowser wins, I want it to play the Imperial March. How epic would that be?

@ Mecha
Good roster. I'd love that. That's Medusa below Pit, right? And who's that to the right of Snake?

My only complaint would be retro characters. There's not too many retro or WTF characters (maybe because the latter are suppose to surprise us!),

Still, there isn't much I wouldn't want that isn't already on that roster. I'd pay good money and a kidney for that for that.

Also, where the hell is wrong with you=??? Where the hell is Waluigi, Vegeta, and Master Chief!?!?!? (kidding, kidding!)

@John: It's Medusa. To the right is Takamaru. As I said I was going to add Sukapon.

@Omega: To prevent some stupidity I included Lucario just for that sake. Else I would remove him.
