Perhaps they think that speaking negatively of sexist comments are "immoral."
I remember back about 8-12 years ago when the Street Fighter and Capcom vs. fans were saying that 3D fighting games like Tekken and (specifically) Soul Calibur weren't "true" fighting games. Street Fighter and Capcom vs. "hardcore" competitive fans (well, most of them) do this to everything. They want everything to be 1 genre and 1 genre only.
/why every competitive video game movement hates Street Fighter/Final Fight/Capcom vs./Capcom competitive elitists kids. No really, most competitive video game fan bases hates their culture and attitudes. It's like many of them can't grow up, act mature, and whatnot. Granted, the people in the video aren't immature, but they are measuring things based on a 90's viewpoint of fighting games. Hell by their standpoint, Tekken X Street Fighter (when it comes out) might not be a "true" "fighting game."
However (back on point), Smash Bros. isn't only a fighting game. It is also a platform game, an action game, (arguably a shooting game,) and a party game. Seriously, few games are no longer 1 genre anymore. Those days are over, because most of those games/series are either really repetitive, become unoriginal, run out of ideas, or lack the creative vision a lot of newer games have. People always seem to forget that games can be more than 1 genre. Like how Metroid Prime isn't just a first person shooter, but also a first person adventure game (and arguably an action game).
