OK, I'm convinced that SmashChu is actually Sakurai in disguise. But then again, I wouldn't be suprised. :smirk:

Eff it, I'm Sakurai too. Are there any other Sakurai's I should know about?

Where people don't always speak English.
I wouldn't worry too much. Kojima and Sakurai are very good friends, and Snake has appeared in crossover fighting games before. I'd say his chances of appearing in Battle Royale are decent, but showing up there shouldn't affect his chances in Smash Bros.
Anyways, I kind of doubt Snake's going to show up there. People have already seen him in that style of game, and they'll probably want to distance themselves from having a character that's too close to what they are copying. Plus I hear Killzone guy has a lot of Snake's moves, and there are other Sony guys who are probably better off taking said moves. Thus I think that the third party characters for Sony Smash are going to be different.
You're probably right, but let's not forget about possible licensing issues that could make him exclusive for the first game that includes him in the roster[it would probably be Battle Royale, because their game is halfway done]...
Anyways, I don't really know how licensing works, but, as a guy who enjoys super hero movies, I know it can be a *****...

Happy 36 days 11 hours 55 minutes 30 seconds until E3 2012!
I'd have a hype overload right now if I hadn't burned the high levels of hype I had earlier at the Avengers' movie.

Let´s hope that Snake will be in Battle Royalle and out of Smash Bros, being replaced by Crash Bandicoot. :awesome::awesome:
Shut up or I'll stab you with a fork.

Obviously, I'm not for Impa replacing Sheik, but I wouldn't mind seeing Zelda and Sheik separating and being on their own. Also, your Ganondorf revamp move set was good (could you re-post your Krystal move set again)?
Well, the only reason I say replace Sheik with Impa if you're breaking them up is because it doesn't really make sense to me to have Sheik and Zelda separated with no means of switching since Sheik is and always has been an alter ego for Zelda.

Anyway, here's the Krystal moveset.
[COLLAPSE="Krystal"]
Here's my fantabulous Krystal moveset.

KRYSTAL

[COLLAPSE="Specials"]B: Fire Blaster
Krystal shoots a Fireball with small knockback from her staff. However, by holding B, you can hold the charge and have a stronger, in general fireball. The main purpose for this attack is for zoning and scaring your opponent that you’ll shoot a fireball.

Side B: Ice Spray
Shoots a spray of ice from her staff. While Krystal is in any part of the startup or while it’s active, Krystal can adjust her aim. This is used as an anti-air, keep-out attack, or an edge guard move. Over time, the range of the spray decreases. If the spray is done at point blank, however, the opponent will be frozen.

Down B: Quake
Krystal strikes her staff to the ground to create a localized shockwave, there are three “points” where the shockwave will rise. This depends on your directional input. If you hold back during the startup, the shockwave will be close to you, while holding forward goes for max range. Holding just down or neutral lands between the two points. Useful for countering camping, or like the fireball, scaring the opponent. This attack is also jump cancelable. This attack does not work in the air for obvious reasons.

Up B: Rocket Boost
Krystal raises her staff and flies up. Doing straight Up causes her to go up vertically while Up-Left and Up-Right will cause her to travel in those directions. Like’s Snake’s Cipher recovery, Krystal can exit out of the recovery.[/COLLAPSE]

[COLLAPSE="Ground attacks."]AAA: Krystal does a forward jab with her staff high, then low, and then does two kicks.
FTilt: Swings her staff downward. A good poke.
DTilt: Krystal crouches and sticks her staff out, this is her best poke.
Up Tilt: Like Pit’s UTiltt, but has two hitboxes. If the opponent is next to you as you hit, the move has more knockback and damage, but the hitbox on the feet has less knockback and damage.
Dash: Does a swipe at the opponent's foot, causing them to trip, but because of the reward, this attack is unsafe at close range.
FSmash: Krystal raises the staff behind her and drops the staff like an axe.
DSmash: Krystal places her staff to the ground, spins around and then does a downward angled double kick to the opponent. This has good horizontal knockback, but poor vertical knockback. This is best used for tech chasing or as an edgeguard.
USmash: Krystal holds her staff like a baseball with the charge going to her staff’s head. She swings upward. Unlike the above attack, this has poor horizontal knockback, but good vertical knockback.
Wakeup Attack: Like AA, but the second hit goes behind her.
Ledge Attack: Climbs and does a quick, weaker version of her FTilt
100% Ledge Attack: Weaker version of her DSmash[/COLLAPSE]

[COLLAPSE="Aerials"]NAir: Spins once with her staff horizontally.
FAir: Spins once with her staff vertically. The range, unlike her NAir, goes far in front instead of covering both sides.
BAir: Swings staff horizontally behind her. Has two attacks. First few active frames have good knockback not too far from Zelda's kicks. The rest of the active frames function as a sex kick.
DAir:Pokes directly below her.
UAir: Extends her staff 30 degrees upward to the direction she’s facing.[/COLLAPSE]

[collapse="Throws"]Pummel: Knees the opponent.
FThrow: Lunges at them in the stomach.
BThrow: Stomps on their foot, uses the staff to push them behind by their neck moving them behind her, and then kicks them.
DThrow: Tosses them to the ground, does a quick jump and spin of the staff above her, land with her staff hitting the opponent and causing a ground bounce.
UThrow: Punches the opponent and then uses the staff like a shovel to launch the opponent.[/collapse]

Playstyle: Krystal is a character that excels greatly at mid-range combat thanks to her range while having her Fire Blaster and Quake as zoning backup. Your objective with Krystal is to scare the opponent with these projectiles while being close enough to poke in for damage. Her preferred way to K.O. is horizontally. Her attacks don’t do the greatest knockback aside from a few so use her aerial pokes, Ice Blast and potentially other attacks for edgeguarding the opponent which she is also good at.

Her main weakness is that she has a somewhat predictable recovery and that she only has a couple of kill moves. Therefore, she's more combo oriented than what you might expect from a mid-range fighter.

I'm not including stats like speed and whatever because there's a number of traits involve and I don't feel like thinking much about those. This also includes a gameplay idea or two I had in mind for the next game so you can choose to ignore it.[/COLLAPSE]

OK, I'm convinced that SmashChu is actually Sakurai in disguise. But then again, I wouldn't be suprised. :smirk:
Correction, he tries to speak for Sakurai. And I'm most definitely not Serious Sakurai. That's Toise.

I don't think he's going to be in, but I could be wrong. Meowth has been consistently requested for inclusion ever since Melee, although a big problem he face is that his fan base has been slipping slowly and took a big hit when Mewtwo was cut (then people flocked to Mewtwo). If/when Mewtwo return, I can see a resurgence in Meowth. I'd say his best shot is in Smash 5 (assuming Mewtwo does return and Lucario isn't cut). While I'm not particularly interested in his inclusion, they could do a lot worse with Pokemon.*wave hands*By eight characters, I'm including transformation, so I'm really saying six slots for Pokemon.

Anyway, I'm fully expecting Mewtwo to return no matter if Lucario is dropped or which Pokemon we get as a newcomer. Meowth I don't think will be in, but could see happening and is a rather good choice. And strangely, I agree. As much as I love Pokemon additions, I could live with the Brawl roster we have (or just them adding Mewtwo back).
Yeah, I think that's what happened, too. Meowth was one of the most-wanted Pokemon for Brawl (Smash 3). After people saw that Mewtwo was cut, nearly 90% of the support Meowth had went to Mewtwo. More people flocked to Mewtwo because they want him back, not because they don't want Meowth in the first place. Priorities, priorities, I guess. I think that if Sakurai had kept Mewtwo but never added Lucario in the first place, I think Meowth would still retain his pre-Brawl fanbase supporting for his inclusion in Smash 4.

I guess Sakurai could surprise us by adding Meowth, finally after all these years (that or add Team Rocket Meowth with Arbok and Weezing)... or unsurprisingly add back Mewtwo and add Zoroark just because he's new. The only time I was geninuely shocked (but in a good way) regarding the Pokemon roster was when Pokemon Trainer Red was added in Brawl. That's the kind of reaction I want to experience again in Smash 4.

Wow, for ****z and giggles, I looked up where the Geno support came from, and I have to lol at how serious everything was over a minor Mario spin-off character that wasn't even owned by Nintendo.

And the main arguments for him are even more laughable.
1. "He has great moveset potential" So does a pile of feces. No seriously. Great Mighty Poo, anyone?
2. "He's awesome" Yeah, like that's good reason...
3. "He's nostalgic" Well, I suppose I should want Maui Mallard since he's nostalgic to me. NOT.

Man were they setting themselves up for major disappointment. They actually deluded themselves into beleiving Geno was all but confirmed!

If Waluigi gets in Sm4sh, I want him to be creepier and weirder than Wario and have sex predator moves like Diddy's B+>
Ugh... at first I didn't want Waluigi in Smash 4 because I want Toad to get in first before him... but now... I do not want Waluigi in Smash at all. Ever. :scared:

Told ye Yuui, Geno-fans...

You could like, replace Geno with anyone as unlikely and we'd still struggle in this.

Heck, I want my Dimentio or Fawful then if Geno's sooooo likely.

Yeah, I agree with you there. Yes, Geno is cool and all. I used to play Super Mario RPG to death when I was in middle school and high school. But really, Geno isn't that important to the Mario franchise overall. You mean to tell me that an one-time third-party Mario character is more important than recurring major Nintendo-owned Mario characters like Toad and Bowser Jr.? No way. IMO, Geno's best chance is in a Mario/Square crossover Smash spin-off game where nothing but Mario/Donkey Kong/Yoshi/Wario characters come together to smash with characters from Dragon Quest, Final Fantasy, and Chrono Trigger.

I just got a Spotpass message. If you missed a Kid Icarus video, you can see them again. Good thing for me, cuz I missed the Pit and Medusa OVAs.

I think I'll do this just for fun. It's what I would consider to be a "complete" representation of the Mario series. This is completely, 100% opinion, but it's at least founded in experience. I'm a huge Mario-head. This is just kind of what I think is the "who's who" of Mario.

Mario
Luigi
Peach
Daisy
Rosalina
Bowser
Bowser Jr.
Waluigi
Toad(sworth)
Count Bleck (Paper series. I can hear the anger now...)
Fawful (Handheld RPGs)

Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.

Waluigi is just a taller skinnier version of Wario with a different moveset.
Wario: Emphasis on greed. Is willing to do the right thing IF it pays out in the end. The only times Wario resorts to cheating is if he's partnered with Waluigi.

Waluigi: Hateful, spiteful, never willing to do the right thing. Always tries to cheat his way into victory, which typically fails. (Like **** Dastardly, he could actually succeed if he plays by the rules, but his nature prevents him from doing so).

EDIT: It censors the short name for Richard? Seriously?

Oh, and Luigi is just a slightly taller version of Mario with a similar moveset.

At least Mario and Luigi are the most important characters in the series.

And IMO I don't think they are any iconic Mario characters left that are unique. All the cool Mario characters now are the ones that are only one time characters like Geno.

I thought of Austin Powers first. :awesome:

And yeah, Waluigi was different from the start, which Luigi had to wait atleast till his 4th appearance to be different at all. What's up with that?
And even then, Waluigi was listed as one of the things "going for" Luigi in his Melee trophy.
"Things are looking up for the eternal understudy; he's even picked up his own rival in Waluigi."

That's true.

All the more reason Sakurai considers Waluigi an important part of the Mario series.

Does it mean he'll be playable? Not necessarily, but it does show he's well under consideration.

I am with the "Toad, Paper Mario, Doctor Mario, or Bowser Jr. first" crowd, mind you. I wouldn't fret if Waluigi was only added for the Mario series, though. ;)

If I recall correctly, Geno support absorbed the Fawful base? And then Geno support kind of inexplicably exploded.

Here's a question, will Wario appear in his fancy outfit from D.I.Y. in the next Smash, or do you think he'll still keep the Biker outfit?
Wario seems to be a man of many costumes...

I just wish Sakurai would take off those Warioware Bias-glasses and base Wario more in Wario Land. Or if he doesn't like that series very much as rumored, then remove Wario alltogether.

I'd rather have WW Wario than no Wario at all. :glare:
Especially considering Wario is my main and I happen to like his playstyle as is.

Now, if he were to be given more WL moves and become a better amalgam of WL and WW, that would be perfect.
For example, Down Smash should easily be the Earthshake Punch like how SSF2 and Project M have.

I think he will have his classic suit as main outfit and the other two as alt outfits. Maybe unlockable.
I think it would be cool, not really new but cool, having totally different shaped suits as unlockable prize. Dr. Mario suit for mario (comprensive of capsules instead of fireballs), Skelebowser for Bowser, Donkey Kong Jr.'s shirt for Donkey Kong (as in the very first Super Mario Kart) and so on.
