Ewwwwwww, if Pac-Man does get in Smash, it should be the Classic version and not that creepy **** from SFxT
I mean that mecha could be like a move, final smash, or something. Also, some of the punching style of that mecha could inspire Pac-Man's physical fighting style in smash.

I don't think so. But I also don't think Snake or Sonic will come back. No reason to have the same guest twice.
Free hype, free advertisement, better awareness, better sales. Also, they are a hell of a lot better than a lot of the character choices being thrown around here. Plus the classic games they have appeared in are rivaled only by a handful of franchises represented in smash (Mario, DK, Zelda, Metroid, Pokémon, and Earth Bound IMO).
I hope that's true, aside from not really liking the playstyles of the characters. Their appearances and roles in SSE just seemed random, out of place.
Hold the phone, someone actually gives a crap about the SSE=??? (or uses it as reasoning a character should be cut=???)
As for a new Pokémon Trainer character, I think Red is enough and if there was any more they would not original at all, uncreative, and almost a poorly chosen action.
Too much of a good thing can be a bad thing. Most smash bros. players probably think another Pokémon Trainer would be overkill. Plus quite frankly if the 3 Pokémon got in over 3 popular characters, people would crap up a storm. Imagining another Pokémon Trainer getting over the likes of say K. Rool would really tick me off and leave me less interested.

Also we already got grunts in smash. It's called all the weird noises Sheik makes in Melee and Brawl.

And even then, we should have Youngster Joey instead. His Rattata is in the top percentage of Rattata.

After enough KOs, it evolves into Raticate. Where it's still in the top percentage of Rattata somehow.

I only used a hint of Golden, a touch of Poppy, and a spray of Hyper. :awesome:

But nearly all of my post in question was all "~His Knightliness Himself~, Super Awesome Johnknight1, aka Holder of the Smash World" status of "Super Awesomeness." :shades: :cool: :grin:

Edit: Youngster Joey is probably the best 2nd Pokémon Trainer idea I have heard thus far! :laugh:

Speaking of which, who else thinks that Ridley and Meta Ridley should return as bosses even if Ridley is playable=??? While I thought that those boss fights could use an extra "kicker" or two, they were pretty good. The same goes for the Rayquaza and Porkey boss.

Well, Aku was still a boss even when he was made playable for Cartoon Network Punch Time Explosion XL, so sure, why not?

Well I don't think Sakurai really gives two ****s about the fandoms of the games. At least with Donkey Kong, although he added Diddy and gave him a great moveset, the two stages he added to Brawl were Rumble Falls and 75m. Not only do these stages suck in their own right, NEITHER are from the DKC series, the games that the FANDOM wants to see represented. This is why I'm so worried about K. Rool's chances. Although he is universally wanted and is tremendously important to DKC and its fandom, I have a hunch Sakurai will be like, "He's old! Have some Tikis and no new rep! Trololo!"

I personally would like Gangplank Galleon sailing around DK Isle or Crocodile Isle. That would be so epic. Although a minecart stage would be acceptable.

I think he does consider the fandom to an extent, but doesn't go completely out of his way to give fans everything they want, like Wario for example.

I actually thought Tabuu was a solid boss. Not as good as Giga Bowser or Crazy Hand (although more unique), but entertaining. I felt that super kill move was stupid though. Also, his boss stage should have been like a climbing one (like Infinite Glacier, but slower, and with only platforms like ones on Battlefield).

The other original bosses IMO sucked in Brawl.

-Rayquaza was great, although he could have used an extra attack and like a hyper strength boost.
-Petey Piranha was too easy. It should have had at least two more moves and should have had like a super fire attack or something.
-Porkey's chase scene should have had more up and down dynamics. As for the boss fight, it should have been in stages. Like if Porkey's spider machine broke, and he had to have a smaller robot with less health but more power fight you.
-Ridley should have had a few unexpected tricks. Oh and more long-range attacks by Ridley. Perhaps change it to Omega Ridley.
-Meta Ridley's boss fight should have switched between an open area, tight tubes (that Meta Ridley could combo you on), and perhaps force the fighter to switch ships they are on; it could be like fighting on Big Blue! :cool:

1. a new jungle stage like Kongo Jungle in Smash 64 and Melee (didn't really like Jungle Japes), complete with that Barrel Cannon under the stage but based on DKCR this time

2. a ship stage based on DKC2 except the ship sails through the first three worlds (Gangplank Galleon, Crocodile Cauldron, and Krem Quay) with each world affecting the water level and temperature

3. a new construction site stage like 75m in Brawl but it's based on the Mario vs. Donkey Kong series even though the hazards might be inspired by the factory stages in DKCR
I 'm really liking the your 2nd choice.

I realized this after posting, but if I could choose, I'd have a stage based off of the 2nd section of DKCR: The Beach (call it Kongo Beach or something). I've noticed that there have never been any beach stages in Smash. Great Bay and Delfino Plaza come close, but they're really not beaches. I'd have a stage with the usually sunny atmosphere of most of that section's levels and elements from DKCR. Expect some cannons to rain explosives on you.

I'd also have a feature in which the level would be in the middle of a storm throughout the whole match; this would be 2 stages in one slot with that giant octopus harassing you every now and then. This part would be based off of DKCR's Stormy Shore and Tidal Terror, and the music for this section can feature the eerie side of the DK series' music. Also, the waves affect and move the smaller platforms a bit by tilting some, raising, lowering and pushing/pulling them left or right.

The type of stage will depend on the Wii U's internal clock. Daytime: bright and peaceful, Nighttime: Dark and Stormy.

This is why I'm hoping Smash 4 actually gets bosses from other Nintendo games and not garbage like the Heartl- Subspace monsters. :awesome:

The only downside is that Aku's actor is dead. :( RIP Mako...
If they ever had a conclusion, Aku would have a different voice.

Exactly, and at that point it's not worth it. Like when Greg Baldwin replaced him as Iroh in Avatar, the character was completely gone. What a shame.

I think that's what dang near everyone wants. Nintendo (and the 3rd party guest franchises) have too much history, too many unused characters, and too much to work with to simply create generic piece of crap Subspace bosses with.

I mean seriously, let's look at the epic boss fights we have with unused/underused characters from Metal Gear ALONE:
-Snake vs. Psycho Mantis: This naturally would work. Psycho Mantis manipulates everything around you, and could basically know everything about what games you have, what you've downloaded, and even what patch version of the Wii U or 3DS you have. Sadly, Psycho Mantis' has only been referenced in Smash.

-Snake vs. The End: An old sniper that hides out in the woods in camo that makes him nearly invisible. It is the ultimate game of hide and seek. This could work in smash. You could have all kinds of grass piles (one in which The End could hide in, and look practically invisible), and multiple areas. If he fires at you and misses, it will reveal the general area he is in. However, he doesn't have to camp out in that area. He could leave. He may also leave tracks in the mud or muddy footprints. He may also use his parrot to scout you out. However, you may also be able to spot him based off his parrot, or the glare on his sniper rifle blaster (seeing as how these games will probably be rated T for Teen, they might as well include guns). By the way, I don't think The End wasn't referenced in Brawl at all.

-Raiden vs. Solidus Snake: Solidus Snake has a Doc Oct-like suit, potential super armor frames/moves, he can blast fire, and he is a ninja. Tell me how that doesn't sound like a boss you would totally like to fight=??? Pretty much it could be a boss that has a lot of different and diverse moves, styles, and powers that could translate well into smash.

So for DK, if you had to choose a type of stage for that series which would it be?

-A mine cart stage that scrolls sideways LIKE Big Blue/Mushroomy Kingdom (with its own innovations)
-A jungle stage like most of those seen in Smash but with DKCR elements
-A silhouette stage in which everyone has unique highlighted areas that make them easy to distinguish by color and shape.
-A factory themed level with elements from DKC, DK64, and DKCR
-A ship based stage from DKC2
-A swamp based stage from DKC2
-A bramble based stage from DKC2
-An interior level, like a cavern or castle
-Something from Jungle Beat (that's actually good, like Aerie fortress, Banshee Swamp, Magma Coliseum, etc)
personally, id like to see a Factory stage (like fear factory). i think it would be hilarious to have the light turn off and only the oil drumbs give you a small glimpse of where the other character is. chasing eachother in the dark trying to hit your opponent. :grin:

@_@ I didn't even realize the voice actor changed. Iroh remained one of my favorites throughout the entire show.

Thanks, but the ideas write themselves. Again, that is why generic new bosses are not needed, aside from new and interesting bosses (ie: The Hands, Giga Bowser, Tabuu). There's too much history, too many awesome boss fights (specifically in 2D games; Seriously, we need a DKC boss!), and too many awesome boss characters to simply ignore and instead put in a bunch of new generic bosses nobody cares about.

Smash Bros. probably has more history than any other gaming series has to draw upon. To ignore that is to do a disservice to the the developers, producers, Nintendo, and fans.

Also, we've gotten some great music posted on this page. I is happy! :shades:

day/night themes are a great idea, but i don't think that the music that plays should depend on the wiiU clock.

if its one thing that bothered me about brawl, it was that the KK Slider songs were only heared on saturdays from 8 pm to midnight.
even though it kept true to Animal crossing's "rule book," it still felt like torture to have to wait an ENTIRE WEEK to listen to the song again, and that every other song was togglable EXCEPT the kk slider themes. even costum stages couldn't have them...:(

but yeah, i like the day and night option. maybe we would hold "R" trigger to activate the night time scenerios when picking the stage?
