Roy is not the most popular lord in Japan. That honor goes to Marth. Roy is the most wanted Fire Emblem character for Smash 4 though, and one of the most wanted characters for Smash 4 in Japan in general. There have been polls though that show Roy is the most popular character from FE6 and the most popular character for the entire GBA Fire Emblem trilogy.

Toon Zelda is pretty much outdated by now.

Toon Zelda was in Spirit Tracks not to long ago. That game came out what=??? 2 or 3 years ago=??? Plus, the next Zelda game for the 3DS will probably be cel-shaded.

I think Diddy gets upset because we "don't consider" his ideas, because "consider" in his head means "ACCEPT IT AS ABSOLUTE TRUTH." Everyone considered his idea and came to a DIFFERENT CONCLUSION. I don't know what more he wants. Well, we all know, but it's just dumb.

tl;dr: Some people (I'm not going to drop names) need to learn the difference between Certainty vs Clarity.

No. I mean, why would it?
Snake was in another game similar to Smash prior to Brawl (DreamMix TV World Fighters) and it had no impact on him in Brawl.

The reason why the Roy DLC is cheaper is because you need to download the Marth DLC before you can download the Roy DLC. Keep in mind though that the Marth DLC is free until May 31st. Whereas the Leaf DLC can be bought without purchasing the Marth DLC first.

The only 3rd party character that could be playable in smash I see possibly see being inspired by an appearance in another fighting game is Pac-Man in Street Fighter X Tekken. However, I don't see Pac-Man driving a robot as his primary means of fighting. It could, however be a special move (much like Wario's Bike).

I say Krom is a shoe in. Especially at this point. 99.9998% certain we'll see him in this game.

A shoe-in to be a playable character, boss, assist trophy character, NPC, stage character enemy, trophy, sticker, or any appearance in SSSB Wii U and/or 3DS=??? Agreed.

As I've stated before, my idea for Final Smashes would be each characters gets 2 Final Smashes; a super attack and a super transformation. The mecha easily fits the super transformation, although it could fit a super attack as well. I think the reason why I would prefer it as a super attack would be so Pac-Man could get his "classic" power up!

How many of us here were actually in the NES/ Super Nintendo days?
I didn't get a 64 until the year 1999. By then I was 13.
I wonder if out differences are from what eras in Nintendo history we lived through.
I, personally, am wanting a battle royale of all my favorite characters from the NES

My first console was a NES in 1994 when I was 2/3, a Super Nintendo when I was 4 (a year later), and a N64 in 1996 my dad got for me and him on his birthday (which is in December, or right after the N64 came out) when I was 5. Personally, I want characters from any and all Nintendo eras. I love them all in their own way. Each era it seems brought a new classic series from Nintendo.

However, most of the characters I want are from series started in the NES/SNES/N64 era. Oh, and Isaac and Shulk!

Common sense says it's AT LEAST probably NEARING finalization. I mean, it is still really early in development. Characters have to be among the first things decided since the game is built around them.

This is due, of course, because of legal issues to get said characters. Which is why the timing of this Square Enix character(s) to appear in a Nintendo title is "perfect" timing.

Given the roster size, this is like trying to put all these kids on the freshman, JV, and Varsity teams (and the rest who don't make it). Of course, only the Varsity team is playable, unless of course the JVs make it as late add-ons (clones, extra time, a character not working out [ie: Dixie Kong as Diddy Kong's partner]), etc). Pretty much it is long and gruesome some characters are actually put in the game, a few more are tested, most have several move set and play style ideas, and a few also have just some basic concepts designed before being scrapped.

Also, the only drug I need is Negative Zone... and Mr. L!

Seems right/legit. I think I'm alot more worried about the gameplay than the roster. Honestly, the only character that I actually am only rooting for is Toad. But if the gameplay is just Melee or Brawl 2.0 then ****, I don't care if Toad is in the game.

I'm also sort of worried whether Toad is gonna be low tiered. LOL. But seeing his abilities of being quick and strong and all that, I think the chances aren't so likely I guess.

I've been posting here more often. Wow. Maybe it's because I can't use my PS3 and I have nothing to do most of the time. o.o

I was just thinking about what Sakurai said about how hard it was for the development team to put 39 characters in Brawl.... it means he counts each character individually. If Sakurai said he could put in 50 characters in Smash 4 if he wanted to... it does not necessarily mean he is going to have a roster with 50 slots. It could even be 40-45 slots with a total of 50 individual characters.

If Sakurai isn't going to cut anyone from Brawl and we keep all 39 characters, who would be the 11 newcomers? Remember transformation characters don't count together, they have to be counted separately.
