I can click the A-button quicker than most, and also wave dash faster than most if that means much... although that came from my practice.
To summarize Sakurai's philosophy, it shouldn't be any harder than it needs to be without losing options.

That being said, I think the loss of actual combos in Smash does more harm than good.
Combos should be in smash... to a certain extent. Melee's combos (aside from top tier combos) made sense, and combos particularly on a character with high damage definitely help make getting KO's and the off the stage game more exciting. Watching Brawl's off the stage game is about as exciting as watching flies try to have sex with ants. :bee:

For those interested, I checked my poll to see what the top ten most requested new stages are at the moment. Have two ties for eight and tenth. Anyways, here is how the poll looks:

1: Bowser's Castle - (Super Mario Bros.)
2: Rainbow Road - (Mario Kart 7)
3: Skyloft - (Skyward Sword)
4: Punch Out Ring - (Punch Out!!)
5: Underworld - (Kid Icarus)
6: Airship - (Super Mario Bros. 3)
7: New Smashville - (Animal Crossing)
8: Gangplank Galleon - (Donkey Kong Country)
8: Patch Land - (Kirby's Epic Yarn)
10: Sunset Shores - (Donkey Kong Country Returns)
10: Saturn Valley - (Earthbound)

I click the A-button faster than most is I leave my left index finger on the A-button. :)

Also, Gangplank Galleon would be a sexy stage. :bee:
Especially for rapid button pressing :smirk:

I'd say the Stage from DKC2... I don't remember the name, but it was like an amusement Park.

The Brawl stage with the most votes to return is Castle Siege; coincedentally Rumble Falls and 75m are tied with the least amount of votes out of all the Brawl stages. The past stage with the most votes, outside of Brawl, is Fourside.

All the stage talk encouraged me to see where my poll was at.

I'm expecting DKCR type stages to be put in smash 4 cause it's the newsest DK game. So What DKCR stages do you guys think should be in Sm4sh?

Yeah it was Krazy Kremland. Seriously, Donkey Kong Country 2 had some of the best world ideas ever.

Gloomy Gulch was pretty epic, too.

Also, Castle Siege definitely should return. It is definitely one of the best stages in Brawl.

I have yet to play much of DKC Returns to really have an opinion on the stage. As long as it isn't a boring jungle, we're good. If it's a fun jungle (that isn't totally the same thing as the previous Donkey Kong stages [minus 75M]), an awesome beach, an epic mine (with mine carts), etc, that's all cool and dandy.

Yeah, Bramble Blast, along with pretty much the entire DKC2 soundtrack was pretty amazing.

Try this on for size:

Sunset Shore

@Asage: Sorry, I thought Gloomy Gulch was the place with the little ghost rope things.

Yeah, I've seen most of your stage posts before, including that one. :p

It could work, but there's a lot of great stages to choose from that game. Plus, we need an actual Donkey Kong Country stage. We'll likely get 2 (maybe 3) Donkey Kong stages. The way I see it, we'll get 1 from Returns, 1 from DKC1-3 (maybe 64), and maybe one from DKC 64 or just a super generic Donkey Kong stage.

Y'know what?

Screw Victini, Toad, Waluigi, Rosalina, Impa, Ridley, Manthony, Laughing Dog, Little Mac, and whoever else you people want.

We only need one man - Mike Tyson.

I just voted on starphoenix's poll. It seems like the most popular stages are the ones that have already been in a smash game before -_-

In my opinion I don't think any stage would be more creative than Sunset Shores, especially if they make the silhouette effect work. If King K. Rool is playable I can see Gangplank Galleon being a stage, regrettably. Outside of that we will probably have Rumble Falls or 75m return, I'm betting on 75m.

It has come to my attention that I have discovered something about myself.

I really don't give a **** about clones, as long as they make sense. So yeah, bring back Dr. Mario, pl0x Sakurai. I don't care if he has his own slot, just bring him back so I can be a Dark Doctor of Death again.
Doc would be interesting if he was made into an original character. :bee:
Dr. Mario diagnosed Impa with hepatitis and Anthony with AIDs. :troll:
Now I suddenly want Dr. Mario to return for Some reason... :awesome:

I dunno about Sunset Shores being the most original, but it could be fun.

Also, it is likely we'll get two new Donkey Kong stages again (like in Melee and Brawl), if not 3. There's no reason we can't have both Sunset Shores and Gangplank Galleon. Show off Donkey Kong Country from the far past and the recent past. I'm pretty sure that is the path the Super Smash Bros. 4 Development team will take with Donkey Kong (Country) stages.

Right behind you with a knife.
I suggestion I heard the other day (or was it today?) that seemed interesting is if Sakurai put in a second multiplayer mode in Smash 4 which mimicked Uprising's multiplayer. It might be able to work, though its sort of a complicated thing to wrap your head around. Keeping the 9 weapon types from Uprising (and doubling the weapon count for each from 12 to 24, with half of each being original and the other half having some sort of Nintendo reference) each character would also have their own unique ability to use as well as their own special movement options. Powers could also be brought over thanks to the Wii U's touch screen on the controls.

Its a bit of a tall order to fill though, so its kind of unrealistic. Especially considering that the idea allows Smash to keep its other 2D mode as well. Its just that you can't have anything like Light vs. Dark in a 2D plane. At least not effectively.

Yeah, it is the most original both functionally and artistically. For me I haven't really been a big fan of Gangplank Galleon because I realize we are going to get a DKCR stage, and since most of the music from that game is already arranged DKC tracks it seems rather blasé. Which is why I support The Flying Krok, comes from DKC2 and is associated with King K. Rool is several games.

I'd say split them. Have the 3DS molded after Uprising, and keep the Wii U version the traditional game. That way you can assure people will buy both by offering different experiences.

Listen, son. Only you can make the difference. Would you rather believe you're winning, and not actually win, or truely win? Vote for Victini, now.

I'm such a ****** near midnight XD

@LC-DDM Listen. No one's playing as food. Tyson Chicken.... Jesus... :awesome:

Nah, we'll likely get a lot of rearranged music specifically for smash. Also, a lot of the Super Nintendo soundtracks don't sound half back. I think it would be cool to have the Super Nintendo and newer versions of some Donkey Kong Country songs. A retro song I would have loved to hear imported into smash would be the "X" theme. Not that the remix wasn't great; it was. But having both the original and classic version would be neat! ;)
