New Smash Bros for WiiU

Pretty much I agree nearly 100% with this. I also would throw in maybe some of the retro characters considered for Melee and Paletuna, but that's about it. Smash is (slowly) running out of relevant retro Nintendo-owned characters to choose (which partially explains the Geno phenomenon).

Kidding. Though, looking back at Chapter 20 on Uprising, I have become a little more accepting of Palutena in Smash.
I still want Magnus more, but I can see Palutena working just as well.

As I've stated a couple of times, I like (not love) Medusa as a prospect playable character, but I always doubted her chances because she is a mythical creation (and not a creation of Nintendo's), and because really Paletuna is the title character (remember, the series bears her name in Japan). It would be like taking Ganondorf over Zelda... in a sense.

Well the difference is Zelda is crucial part of the plot in every Zelda game, minus Link's Awakening and Majora's Mask (where she at least impacts the back story). Metroids are just a species and a common enemy. The focus on the Zelda franchise is around what is happening to Zelda/how to save/help Zelda, while the focus of Kid Icarus is around helping/saving Paletuna and defeating evil for her.

Also the "real" enemies of the Metroid franchise are the Space Pirates, whom are lead by Ridley. Still, the plot is more or less about Samus doing everyone's b***h work!

But the focus is about Samus keeping the Galaxy and Galactic Federation safe from Space Pirates, their Metroids, their evil, and also to exact revenge and justice upon them (and Ridley). Metroids just happen to be a part of that threat.

Although eventually, the series is gonna have to involve Samus being a BAMF fighting the Galactic Federation. Screw Dark Samus, I want Diddy Kong's man child lover boy Anthony to get owned by Samus next!

My dream Pokémon playable in smash is still Blastoise (although I want Squirtle to stay). That Pokémon is still freaking epic after all these years.

My dream Smash Bros. character, after "Wind Waker Link" and Diddy Kong has always been Mega Man. I love that cyborg kid and those games.

No, I don't hate Waluigi. I actually just hate the idea of him being playable in smash. I like him in the Mario spin-offs.

I just think it would be awesome to have an old guy (and by old I mean over 900 years old) diss the heck out of him for the lulz, much like how he dissed the Emperor. For some reason unknown to me, Waluigi also reminds me of the Emperor. Maybe it's the face...

But yeah, just make Yoda grabable. That Soul Calibur IV ungrabable crap was stupid. Darth Vader would be great. Just leave the prequels out of this, end of story...

"You brought a knife to a gun fight" is literally one of the worst lines I've ever heard in a movie. Thanks George Lucas for not just killing Star Wars, but Indiana Jones, too. Oh, and kudos goes to Steven Spielberg for doing the same. I can't wait for E.T. 2: We need more money.

Thank God smash will never be that bad. Brawl might not be a fun competitive game or exciting to watch, but at least it is a fun game to play.

Oh here is another tidbit observation I noticed on Japanese Smash Bros. sites/topics. There seems to be a lot more interest for another Kirby newcomer than a Mario newcomer. The three Kirby characters I see requested the most are Waddle Dee, Adeline, and Gooey. There are also some requests for Marx and Knuckle Joe (with there even being a flame war at one topic against Marx supporters saying he is better suited for a boss fight). The thing is though is that all of those characters (except Waddle Dee) basically have no chance, because both Gooey and Adeline only ever made one major appearance in the Kirby series and both of those games were not worked on by Sakurai. I think Sakurai's idea of Kirby representation is Kirby, Meta Knight, and King Dedede since those are the three characters that got the most focus in the Kirby games that Sakurai directed.

Yeah, as "humble" as Sakurai is with his own characters, I doubt he'll include a Kirby character in Smash he didn't make... unless the character is REALLY POPULAR, important to the series currently, or made by an associate/friend he is close with.

Overall that would just be too awkward of a dynamic even if one or more of those scenarios was the case for Sakurai. The Kirby franchise is like his baby...

Waddle Dee, Tingle, Ghirahim, Medusa, and Junior are the type of characters that, IN MY OPINION don't quite cut it in terms of "likely", but having one of them in would excite me a lot.

Unlike, say, Ridley, or Samurai Goroh. Even though I LIKE THEM, at this point, I've expected them for so long... seeing them playable... doesn't do much for me, it's like... "Meh, Ive expected this"...

Samurai Goroh's been dogged so much I would be psyched to see him just for that. Don't forget that the incredible F-Zero franchise has been sadly dead for over half a decade.

Both Samurai Goroh and Ridley also have been teased for over a decade. It would be more of a sense of relief and a "about time" reaction from. For me it would be like all that wait was finally worth it. It's like waiting for you team to win the big dance, watching them fail when they are so close, and then randomly win it one year when they weren't supposed to even be in contention.
