I'm pretty much neutral with Magnus, but I really don't see him coming before Palutena and Medusa.

The only time you should play a game is before giving an honest review of it.

For example, let's say somebody has not played Sonic 2006. If they say it sucks, their opinion is not valid. If they watch a full playthrough and say they don't like a character's design, their opinion is valid since they saw enough needed. Note, I'm not talking about how they play, but their physical design.

I can look at a picture of Silver and say I don't like his design. That's a very valid opinion right there.

On a different subject, if Little Mac becomes playable, it would be neat if he gets a secret taunt, where Doc Louis will give Little Mac advice for dealing with his opponents.

For example, if Little Mac is fighting against Captain Falcon, Doc Louis will let Little Mac know that Captain Falcon is not a long range fighter, and has slow attacks.

I think Sakurai hinted some characters he might be considering in Kid Icarus free for all vs. computers

I've seen King Hippo, and some other characters as well.

The reason I called out out on it is because its pretty clear from a perspective of going through everything in the game bit by bit and just seeing that. You never initially said it as an opinion. I started off saying that Magnus was an okay character but that Palutena was better. It wasn't even about her chances of getting into Smash. She just has a better personality. But then you counter that by saying nothing that I say matters because Magnus

is playable in Uprising and heck, reading that made it clear that you weren't actually playing the game, so I called you out on it. I still don't get how that logic works...I mean you haven't played the game, so why would that make you like him more? It makes sense if you did play it, since then you could have just liked playing as him so much, but you didn't. So how was that comment about you liking Magnus, and not a comment about Magnus' chances of being playable in Smash 4?

Heck, I'm not even sure if you've really even watched everything, and just went through highlights.

So I'm really not going to argue this anymore. I have not been acting like anything you've been saying and you just seem to want to be persecuted or something despite me answering everything you've asked of me.

EDIT: Chapter 18 denounces whatever argument you have for Palutena for me, Pieman.
I don't care that she's a boss, I don't care if she had some fighting prowess in an OVA, playable Magnus beats that in my eyes.

How did this not infer to you that it is my opinion that Magnus > Palutena?

And you have not answered. All you have said was Palutena is the better character. Play the game. Your opinion doesn't matter because you haven't played the game. Playing the game will make you see who the better character is.

I would prefer it more If Little Mac sort of worked like Steve Fox from Tekken in that some of his moves involve evasion mechanics that link directly into his stronger attacks. Sure, Sakurai probably will take the easy route but a man can dream.

Boxing's been around for thousands of years, there's plenty of stuff to by.

I think with Urban Champion, it would've been required to come up with a lot more stuff than it's worth. From my understanding, Urban Champion would have less material to work with than any of the Final Fight characters before they made their SF/Marvel transitions. The reason I bring Final Fight up is because they're sort of similar in context.

Sadly, I don't think there is much to give Mac to where he isn't "generic punchy".
I mean, he could borrow some techniques from his opponents, such as Macho Man's Triple Clothesline, or even non-punching moves such as Bald Bull's Bull Charge, but still, those seem kind of generic.

And people's idea of a FS is either a super punch (Star Punch) or transformation (Giga Mac), so there's still some genericness involved.

Though the fact he is generic could be his shtick, as he stands out from the other non-generic characters. Even Donkey Kong, who has a generic fighting style, is a gorilla. Mac is just a typical boxer from the Bronx.

@SmashChu: Teach me in the ways. If Kuma says I am to be the next SmashChu, who am I to make a liar out of him?

Agreed. Little Mac's simplicity is what makes me really interested in him becoming a character.

I've suggested this in the past. There's also Dudley and Balrog from the SF games, but I'd prefer Little Mac to be a mix of Dudley and Steve if they had to draw inspiration from those characters. And how is Nintendo/Sakurai exactly lazy. While I may not care for some of the design aspects in Smash, they put a lot of work into these games.

Reading up more on Urban Champion, I must have had my games mixed up as it's more of a sumo game than a beat-em-up like I thought. Still, Urban Champion would be rather boring and if you want the knockback as central to a playstyle, Isaac would be way more interesting.

I'm not sure why simplicity is a good thing or why some minor extra would provide any further backing for Little Mac's addition. The most we can hope for is that Sakurai isn't lazy this time around.

Those two are good representatives for a possible Little Mac set, although Balrog's charge moves wouldn't transition very well and Dudley is sort of basic if you look past his personality.
