Sakurai chooses any character unless the Company giving him the character says otherwise. It is not Nintendo specifically. And MK is obviously Meta Knight. Also, who cares what land he's from? That doesn't change the fact he's an extremely serious character, and so is Meta Knight.

You're not even using any real logic here. I ask again; Why can't Jill be in? Give a reason that actually would stop Sakurai from putting her in.

Your logic forgot Ganondorf is owned by the company the makes the game we are debating.

...Sakurai makes the game, not Nintendo. They PUBLISH it only. Get your facts straight. Likewise, Ganon is not playable, only Ganondorf is. Ganon could be made playable, but he has yet to be.

That's easy. Pit, Palutena, and Medusa as playable characters. Eggplant Wizard as Assist Trophy. Underworld as a new stage along with Skyworld as a past stage. Magnus and everyone are regular trophies.

Nintendo has made it's share of horror titles. Eternal Darkness and Giest come to mind.

So what would be the problem with including a horror game character in a Nintendo based game again?
Simply put, there are three Capcom characters that would make perfect sense in Smash, Mega Man, Ryu, and Jill Valentine.
That being said, Mega Man trounces the other two.

I never meant serious temperment as in characters but as game Genre. Which metal gear in general is silly and kool.

In the end its all an opinion. People want who who in the game ect. We just all express with our hearts why we want them to be in and justify it for gamesake.

if Medusa is not the final boss in Uprising. She is important to the series overall. She put the whole thing in motion by trying to destroy Angel Land, which led to Palutena turning her into a snake-haired monster, which led to Medusa kidnapping Palutena, which led to Palutena summoning Pit to save her and defeat Medusa, which led to Medusa being resurrected by Hades or whoever is the true final boss in Uprising.

Okay, maybe Medusa isn't the Bowser or the Ganondorf of Kid Icarus but she is at least more like the Ridley of Kid Icarus.

Disappointed that people would let something as trivial as Medusa not being the Big Bad deter them from her and denounce her. All while flocking to Palutena as if she was their lord and saviour.

Note, I am not against Palutena, and if she happens to get in Sm4sh and Medusa doesn't, oh well. But still, to flock to Palutena is not unlike the FE fanboys flocking to various female characters on different reasonings. (i.e. flocking back to Caeda when Liz was revealed to not be a lord, then flocking back to Liz when she was revealed to use axes and offensive magic).

I would like Caeda... I want a Pegasus Final Smash. But Krom is cool and I won't mind if he replaced Ike just like Ike replaced Roy. Please don't try to correct me... I know the story about how Ike wasn't meant to replace Roy because Roy was planned to be in Brawl but I don't care... Ike had higher priority over Roy because Ike was newer... and Krom is newer now so I believe Krom would have higher priority over Ike and Roy.

Of course it'll never happen, it isn't really worth the effort to put an MK character in Smash, IMO, as much as I love the series

But the thing is, take away the gore and you'll see MK is almost just as wacky if not moreso than Smash

I don't see why such a role should exclude her from getting into SSB4, She was obviously made to counter Palutena, And I honestly think she should get into SSB4 over her and be the new comer with pit if they just decide on 1.

Just because she ain't the main villain, Doesn't mean she is irreverent.
There is tons of cases where the main villain dies and the secondary villain becomes the big boss.

Why do you think Roy is unlikely? He was planned for Brawl and is one of the most requested veterans for Sm4sh. He's basically in the same boat as Mewtwo.

Could say just because it would be 2 characters from 1 series being newcomer and returning veteran? I have nothing against roy, If he makes it in with some new moveset or not, So be it.
Its just that when I hear talks about abunch of characters from 1 series getting in, It makes me doubt.

IIRC, Sakurai himself requested Roy to be in Melee, right? It would seem weird for him to do that only to intentionally cut him from the immediate sequel. With that in mind plus the fact that we know Roy was a planned character, I think it's safe to assume he was due to time constraints, and since he's a requested character for Smash 4, I think it's highly likely that he'll return in Smash 4

ALSO, while you say "What about Krom?", I'll say, "Why not put them both in?"

Medusa is definitely going to have more requests after Uprising is released, its just that I am only seeing Palutena being added now. If Medusa does end up getting added I see her being a luigi-fied clone of Palutena and is a hidden character. I think Medusa being added would depend on these factors:
1. Uprising is received well critically and sells very well.
2. Medusa becomes one of the most requested characters for Smash 4.
3. Palutena is one of the first newcomers for Smash 4 unveiled, and there is a very positive reception to her moveset.
