Where is Tri-Hy when you need him

I wanna see that link, too (where Sakurai said he didn't see Toad as much of a fighter)

@Weavel- How would we know that when the Wii U hasn't even been released yet?

Is the Wii U controler unacceptable?
The controller looks pretty big compared to the buttons and it seems it may be hard to get used to after playing smash games like brawl and melee with GC controller for years.

I mean.. I guess well get used to it but I sure wish Wii U would be compatible with GC controller.

Just design the next Classic Controller for the Wii U to be like the GCN controller

Problem solved
I imagine the console will come out with the next SSB, I think I'm probly wrong on this. But they like to start consoles with big games like that.

The GC controller was just so perfect.

It wasnt big AT ALL so it fit in your hands great.

The buttons were all close together which made things great.

If you know how Melee works than you can see just how great the GC controller is for that game especially.

How are we going to play smash with that Wii U controller?

And most players use GC controller so traditional Wii controllers wont satisfy most competitive smashers.
Classic Controller required. And batteries.

The competitive scene is going to SEVERELY lower.

There's no excuse for not being able to use two Tablets, though. The Hard Drive is one thing, but the only reason to get the Wii U is... the Tablet at this point. You can't buy another one either.

From article
it was implied that only one Wii U controller could be used at a time on a console. Nintendo's President Satoru Iwata later clarified that connecting multiple controllers was technically possible, but that it was not the company's primary concern due to the controller's price barrier.

O ****tttt.. This sounds like a ***** move from nintendo..

So how are tournaments gonna work out?

Only one person with Wii U controller lol.

Maybe most of our tournaments will be online. obviously smash 4's online will be way better than brawls online.

(dumb question probably)Would it be possible for Nintendo to make more tablets compatible at once with the system sometime during the Wii U's lifespan?

I think I might be riding the train that Wii u is going to fail.. Some ppl worry about their consoles dying, Not they're going to worry if there super expensive controller is going to die as well.

I highly doubt the Wii u is gonna fail.

The only problem here is that only one tablet is compatible with the system.

Wii U can support more than one tablet, actually; I think they just meant that they won't be sold seperately because of the hypothetical cost of the tablet

But I'm pretty certain it can support more than one tablet, you probably just have to have your friend bring their Wii U tablet over so that they can sync it up to your Wii U and play with you. It'd be pretty stupid if they didn't allow this

Maybe the advanced controller thing is just giving me a scare, I hope the new wii succeeds and that the new SSB follows in its wake but the controller issue sounds very expensive..

The two genres I want more from is Mario and Sonic. Sonic more than Mario, but harder to do.

I know Sega isn't owned by Nintendo but come on: We got Sonic AND Snake in Brawl. It can't be THAT hard given how much money they get from these games.

From the Mario series, the two characters I feel that have been neglected far too much are:

-Waluigi
-Boo

Boo is a staple of all mario video games. Mario genre could use a flying character, and more antagonists. A character based off mind games and awkward momentum would be fresh and original.

Waluigi has a lot to base his moveset off of. In mario tennis there was great illusion to his connection with water powers. He's clearly always been a defensive character and that would be reflected in his play.

From the Sonic Series, the two Staples that come to mind are:

-Shadow the Hedgehog: which I feel is one of the coolest characters of all time. With Shadow having his own video games he acquired enough unique abilities to not just by a Sonic clone. Chaos control final smash? Hell yes?

-Knuckles: Always a bad ***. We have very little heroes that are middle weight that you think of as people who could ever rely on "jab". Gliding is still a concept only used by a few characters and Knuckles obviously has a say there. Knuckles having his own distinct levels in some Sonic games gives a lot to base off of such as a dig DSpecial, high priority jab combos, gliding, wall clinging, etc.

So far only Johnknight has found the link, although I think Toise has as well.

Either way it was more based on the fact that he couldn't think of a possible moveset for Toad at the time, which may or may not matter now.

I just saw the Uprising commercial on TV. For a second there, I thought it was for God of War. lol

I just want to know how much money Nintendo is sinking into this game. This is the most money they've spent promoting a game since Pokemon in the late 90's.

I remember when I was sent a promotional video by Nintendo prior to Pokemon coming out. I must have watched over 50 times before Pokemon was released.

If Uprising is huge, then perhaps two newcomers for Kid Icarus is not out of the question.

That's basically the whole point of discussion on Kid Icarus characters, but so far: it looks like its gonna bomb. Maybe we get trolled badly though, and get Magnus and the Eggplant Wizard playable instead of Palutena and Medusa... :troll:

A bigger troll would be the Tempura Wizard instead of Eggplant Wizard. Or Dark Pit.

I half-expect Magnus.

Lol, I remember the Pokemon commercials from Burger King
I remember there being a KFC Pokemon promotion when Pokemon was first released (the Fall of 1998). They gave away plushies of Vulpix, Seel, Zubat, and Dratini. They also had an Ivysaur squirt toy.

If it's the one with Sabure Prince, Ghriahim, Little Mac, King Hippo, Krystal, Zoroark, King K. Rool, Slime, Mega Man, Sonic, etc., it's been done to death here and pretty much false.

K, Thank you gold Entei.
P.S. I feel ashamed for enjoying pokemon movies.

Especially considering Sakurai has stated he hasn't decided who would be in the game yet.
