All this talk about respect for dissenting opinions and yet he challenges that of others and strawmans out of the "discussion".

If were going to talk about how the game is not designed for the "competitive" player, lets discuss who the game was designed for.

If competitive players also fall under the "player" category and the game was designed with no respect to any style of play, then the market was designed for whoever wants to invest time in it.

Should some players decide to create there own metagames and rules, should also be no business of folks who approach it in other ways.

Thats that. No justification can be made for those who attempt to infringe on the liberties of others.

Here's a Final Smash idea for Bowser: he turns gigantic like he does in Galaxy 2 and flies upward offscreen. Then, his gigantic head peaks back on screen facing the battlefield and is primarily the only part of him visible. He roars out a humongous waterfall of flames and can move horizontally from each end of the stage. Moving too far to the left or right will make him go offscreen entirely for a few seconds (which wastes the time of the move) and he'll just reappear at the opposite end as if he went around the world. The flames take a lot of damage and linger a bit for 2 seconds. This idea is inspired by his fights in Super Mario Galaxy 2.

Anyone want to show off the newcomers on their PREDICTION roster?

Just because you asked, here is what I'm currently predicting (note that this is not final, so no explanation yet. I will have a new one in April with explanation)

- No Nintendo characters are cut.
- Sonic and Snake are cut.
- My newcomers prediction are Toad, King K. Rool, Ridley, Mewtwo, Victini, Roy, Palutena, Takamaru, Little Mac, Isaac, and Mega Man.

All of this rounds out to 48 characters. I'm not predicting that we'll get that many characters (I think we'll see a few more, thought a 40-44 slot roster is not out of the realm of possibility), but these are the characters I would say would make it if I had to guess.

For anyone who's interested; Impa is quite popular as a Sheik replacement in the Skyward Sword spoiler thread

People say Mewtwo should be OP to make up for his suckiness in Melee, but personally, I just want him to be heavier, he doesn't really need to be a beast in Smash, in my opinion

My predictions:

1. No one is cut.
2. The Melee veterans of the "Forbidden 7" are brought back.
3. A Mario Newcomer (most likely Toad), 5th Gen Pokemon (most likely Zoroark), Mega Man, King K. Rool, Dixie Kong, Ridley, Takamaru, Mach Rider, Krystal unfortunately, Starfy, Saki, Samurai Goroh, Tingle.

I predict that there will be others aside from these, but none that I can predict for sure.

He was considered for Brawl to the point that he has data. I honestly believe that if Mewtwo and Roy were cut due to time restraints, so was Doc due to him being an easy character to make and to balance out the Mario and Pokemon reps.

So I find him likely to return.

We don't consider Mewtwo and Roy likely because they're part of the Forbidden Seven. They're likely because THEY'RE STILL IMMENSELY POPULAR. Which Doc isn't.

Doc was and always will be an awful addition, save for the few competitive players who like him and SmashChu will tell you that they just don't matter.

Backwards way of thinking.

1. Charizard was a Poke Ball, so he shouldn't have been in Brawl. Ridley's a boss. Twice. We don't need him. Most of the characters that people request and want? ATs. Don't need them either. Even Palutena, who people want here, shouldn't be in because she's with Pit.

2. Puzzle games don't matter? By who's standards? Are you trying to tell me you can decide which genre of games matter? Clearly, they do, as we got Dr. Mario in Melee, and Lip is a popular choice around these parts.

3. Dr. Mario has playstyle differences to Mario to where making him a costume of Mario wouldn't be just enough.
Sakurai said himself that Dr. Mario shooting Fireballs would be awkward in response to someone asking for a Dr. Mario costume for Smash prior to Melee.

Why think for myself? A fool thinks he's knows better than these people. Day9 knows a lot about Starcraft, so why not use him. Robert Kiyosaki knows a lot about money, so why not use him. I can also open a book and learn more, but, again, I'm use their smarts. I'm stealing smarts.

Please, Paper Mario is in the same boat as Dr. Mario. Both are just alternate forms of Mario. So what if Paper Mario could be given his own moveset; so can Doc, as someone here (forgot who, sorry) proved.

Those 4 are the ones people speculate about, which pretty much explains why I brought up Paper and Waluigi. I don't understand how you can't seriously consider a persistant villain such as Bowser Jr but you're cool with Doc returning in his own slot. Its pretty much a waste to have 1 of 4 frequently speculated characters included just to rewrite the error of a clone in Melee when you could have 2 of 4 of them. I'd also like to point out that Paper's more popular than Doc, so he's not as pointless.

EDIT: We need someone (else) who's very familiar with the 3ds's track record right about now. Wikipedia's not a good choice for this.
