Pichu, Marth, Roy, Mr. Game and Watch, Pit, Zero Suit Samus, the Pokémon Trainer, R.O.B., Solid Snake, Captain Olimar, etc. Those type of characters help make smash more marketable, and are a huge reason for the series' success. I think, especially in Brawl, Sakurai has found a great method and way of designing a roster. If the next smash' roster adds on to the satisfying originality and uniqueness of Brawl's, we are in for a heck of a roster.
I don't think that release changes anything for Krystal though. Maybe we won't get an Assualt based stage, but I like Melee's Corneria much more anyhow. Plus, Wolf isn't competition anymore, so.. she's the only choice left.
I'm just curious, did anyone predict the way he was implemented? Honestly, I just thought Krystal was more likely AT THE TIME since she seemed like she would be more unique, but I was PLEASANTLY SURPRISED with Sakurai's take on Wolf. I never stopped by the Wolf thread too often, but I think I remember people suggesting he use a knife or something? Maybe that was Leon.

I seriously doubt that considering everyone likes to eggerate EVERYTHING about the Japanese fanbase, and I think that too doesn't mean much, because she still has the fanbase, fits the bill in Sakurai's eyes, and isn't obscure. (Not that that matters much anyways)
And the fact that Sakurai didn't know who she was until she was being requested on the Brawl "polls" when the roster was finalized months before then. She never ACTUALLY was an option during Brawl.
He should definitely at least have a taunt in which he says, "Can't let you do that".
I don't see any reason he would take out Wolf OR randomly start thinking about "proper representation" I mean, Lucas and Wolf getting in, and ZSS getting in strictly on the basis of being a female over Ridley kind of shows he doesn't think the way most fans do. Plus relevancy? Command is like, four years old, and isn't a remake. Wolf is going to be just fine. Sonic and Snake fans should be the ones worrying, but no John, I don't want to debate about why keeping them is an awesome idea, because I don't really care about third party characters~
What are the characters STYLE in the remake? Do they look more Melee, or Brawlish?
What's important about Pichu's inclusion is that it shows that Sakurai wanted to see Pichu in Melee. Had the Pokemon Company been against Sakurai's proposal to make Pichu a joke character, we would not have seen Pichu in Melee. But they liked the idea and let Sakurai run with it. Sakurai has also reportedly gone on the record to say he loves all of his characters and I'm assuming this includes the Melee cut vets. Even if Pichu will likely never show up again, I seriously doubt Sakurai wanted to cut anyone from the Melee roster. While Sakurai may view Pichu as a joke character, I don't think he considers anyone a true filler; otherwise, he would have expressed his regret for Pichu.Hoots said:

Seriously, characters yelling out other character's name, or talking in a certain tone or voice or certain dialogue in team matches would be awesome. It's such a small addition, but it is an awesome one nonetheless!
I know, amirite=??? Star Fox 64 is just a game you can't seemingly get too much of. Although I really do wish the 3DS remake had mutliplayer campaign, online multiplayer, improved levels (including fixing that water level with the submarines' awful frame rate issues), expanded multiplayer, several different ships (Wolfen, Wolfen II, various random enemy ships), etc.
Star Fox 64 just has that simple yet intangible, complex, and impossible to describe (other than saying, "that's Star Foxd 64 for you") greatness to it!
Screw Mewtwo. Gimme Meowth. I would LOVE that. I hate how I can never make a Pokemon roster that is logical, small, and interesting. It's always one of the two.
Me too... Me too. I really did fight for Meowth back in the day before Pokemon Trainer was revealed. He would absolutely be one of my mains if he was a Smash character. Unfortunately, he missed his chance.
Once the announcement trailer shows up with 4 newcomers, one or two of which will probably be ridiculous, people will get all jumbled up. However, I'm not set in my ways at all! I gladly will change up any predictions as more info comes out. As ling as **** is CONFIRMED, im happy (unless K. Rool doesn't make it...).
He's not traveling with him anymore, it was a trick that Team Rocket was planning he's back with them now. The only Pokemon that's been following Ash is a Krokorok with Sunglasses that's going to be captured sometime soon

All I know is I will be excited to see who is the first character revealed. So far it has been a super popular character that has had a lot of support and requests. For Melee it was Bowser, and for Brawl it was Metaknight. The only characters I can see fitting thaat role would be Mewtwo (even though he is not technically a newcomer), Ridley, or King K. Well it is more like neither company care to go through the hassle of negotiating for him. Nintendo does not care enough to spend money, and Square Enix barely know they even have him. Besides, why the heck does Geno get all of this support and Mallow does not? Geno is a horrible character compared to Mallow. Yes I'm still bitter about Mallow being pushed to the sidelines. :'(Yeah, that was me who said it. I know that Square Enix has no economic reason to include Geno unless they plan on making a SMRPG2 or a SMRPG remake. However, Square DOES seem to have an aversion to money with their recent business decisions, so you never know...If Nintendo really wanted Geno, they could get him. It just depends how much they're willing to pay. My entire point is that people should attack Geno for more valid reasons, other than attacks that I don't see as entirely fair.
