4. Shulk - Xenoblade is one of the most pirated games for the Wii, around 950,000 copies. This series definitely deserves its representative for Brawl.

I would like to not worry about that, considering if he gets in, which I think he will, now that he's released overseas, more people are aware of what he can do, and would be angry if he got joke treatment in SSB4. I doubt Sakurai would take that risk with Starfy.

I noticed that they included respective sounds from Starfy-games when adding Starfy which means they might've seen some overview on his series. So what's with the awful treatment? This is where I believe Sakurai might've actually some bias against Starfy.

I don't think sakurai is biased towards starfy. I think he wanted to have a weak AT, and wasn't familiar with starfy. He thought he could only spin, so he made him the weak AT.

Well, maybe the sound team knows more about the games than Sakurai does? Sakurai could have said, "Hmmm...for the Assist Trophy, put in some sounds from his game."

And then they did. I would hope that he doesn't let his bias get in the way, Starfy is one of my most wanted characters. I'd play my Starfy game right now, in fact, if it wasn't for my broken DS.

By the way, I think I'll do a Starfy moveset soon. I'll have to research games 1-4, though, as I haven't played them. Young Horsetail, are there any major moves of Starfy that are absent in Starfy 5 but present in 1-4?

Why not just keep Sheik in? There's no reason for Sheik to go and no, there isn't any evidence of relevancy playing a part in cuts. Get rid of Impa. Also, we're probably getting a Chibi-Link in Smash, so put back either Toon or Young Link.

Drop Lyn. She is hated in Japan and lost almost all support. She's also the least important Lord of FE7.

Medusa is a good choice, but she comes 3rd. If we get only one Kid Icarus newcomer, it will be Palutena since she has appeared in all three games and is more important.

No to King Hippo. We don't even know if Little Mac will make the cut (even thought I think he is, you never know). King Hippo should sit out until SSB5.

Being pirated frequently is not a reason for why Shulk should be in. As a matter of fact, that work against him. Also, a one-game "series" should not and probably will not get in. Drop Shulk.

Five third-party characters is not happening. We almost did not even get two in Brawl, so Sakurai is not going to just go third-party crazy (and yes, five is third-party crazy) and we do not even know if they are returning. I would axe Chocobo and maybe Pac-Man.

What I also don't understand is why Sonic and Snake will be prioritized above Lucario, since they are guests and guests almost never returns unless said guests has the company they are owned by develop the game (and that's not the case for Smash). If they aren't going to bring back Lucario, they will not go through the hassle of bringing back Sonic and Snake. In short, either put back Lucario into the roster or drop them as well.[/COLLAPSE]

Very happy with the Top 5. K. Rool scoring in 1st was a small surprise to me, but at least he did. However, I'm scratching my head at why Pichu and Plusle & Minun are so popular. Third-Party are for the most part, unpopular (with the exception of Mega Man)

As I've experienced, NSider hates Lip...she's funnily enough with the same boat as Vaati. Starfy's not having it that though.

And FYEAH TOAD.

They also seem to dislike Takamaru and Victini. However, I do think that Victini's SWF community is larger then I though considering that it came close to beating Zoroark (I would say about 95% of the Victini votes came from this site).

K. Rool is IMO, the second most wanted character for SSB4 (next to Mewtwo). For some reason, I'm seeing more K. Rool request then Ridley lately. I think him being more well-known is a cause for that.

That likely explains why Pichu got the axe. Onto the subject, I think Sakurai has now played Starfy games and recognize what he could do, so hopefully he won't be a joke character.

Not much. Starfy 4 actually introduced some sort of magic point-based moves, but mostly Starfy's moves has stayed same.
Usually it's either the powerup costumes (in Starfy 5's case, Bunston's pal's) or means of transportation that has changed mostly game to game.

If you're gonna do a moveset, try to incorporate some moves from Starly too.

EDIT: I'm gonna do one sometime too, but anyway, there could ideas I might borrow from your moveset- you don't mimd that?

I wonder why people want Impa in over Ghirahim in the next Smash. Impa is either an old woman or a Sheikah warrior (little to no difference than Sheik). Ghirahim has a wealth of personality and moveset potential. Plus Smash does not have a flamboyant villain yet.

I want both. Separate Zelda from Sheik. Make Impa Sheik 1.5 with Sheik as an alternate costume. Add Ghirahim to fill everyone's hearts with rainbows of evil.

I just want Zelda and Sheik to be separate as, from a balancing standpoint, that Sheik has historically outclassed Zelda despite the fact that they are meant to be used in tandem.

Instead of worrying about the combined group having too many options and the fact that transforming has never been done efficiently, let them work on their own so they can be explored more.

Also, Sheik already has the skintone and hair color. And I feel an Impa-inspired color would do justice considering that Impa shows way more skin and is not in a skin tight ninja suit.

Sheik as an alternate costume for Impa just wouldn't work. Unless you'd be happy with what could only be Impa appearing to wear clothing in the style of Sheik's.

Also's it's funny that you say that Kuma, since apparently Shelda do better on the tier list than either Sheik of Zelda as of now.

The only way I can see Impa in Smash is Impa being Zelda's transformation instead of Sheik (although in effect it would just be a costume change so that the Skyward models can be used much like the Twilight models were used for Brawl).

2: Black Shadow fits the villain role better than Goroh.
3: Mewtwo doesn't necessarily have to play the evil role.
4: You pretty much know how I feel about Ghirahim.
5: Eggman in his Egg Viper would be a beast.
6: I'm neutral with Dr. Wily.
7: Bowser is an obvious must.
8: Dedede is more of an anti-hero, but could be like a double agent.
9: When it comes to greed, Wario pretty much meets the bad guy criteria.
10: You can't have a villains group without big bad Ganondorf.

Based on the first world from the latest Wario Land game, Ratl Ruins makes an appearance.

It's overall a rather basic stage that is around the size of PS2, the main gimmick would be the stone pillars on both sides of the stage, as they move up and down as the stage shakes. But since you can't shake the stage literally, similar to GHZ, the stage itself will take damage over time. Once the stage has been hit enough, the stage will shake and the pillars will change.

The pillars themselves are only 1/3 the size of the towers on SMI, so they do not hinder gameplay too much, but you will take a good amount of damage if you are stuck under a pillar as it moves. Bandineros can also appear on the stage, and in Wario Land fashion, you can jump on them (or shake the stage) and use them as projectiles.

Sheik as an alternate costume for Impa just wouldn't work. Unless you'd be happy with what could only be Impa appearing to wear clothing in the style of Sheik's.

Also's it's funny that you say that Kuma, since apparently Shelda do better on the tier list than either Sheik of Zelda as of now.

I was thinking of a flat out model change for Impa's Sheik alt.

I know Shelda is better than either of them on the Brawl tier list, but I'm pretty sure that's not the case on the Melee tier list. Interestingly enough, the Japanese Brawl tier list has Zelda/Sheik but not a slot for either character. The same thing goes for Pokemon Trainer. The only "transform" character that's broken up is Samus and Zamus with Zamus being much higher than Samus.

I would like King K. Rool. He oozes flavor and might give Bowser a run for his money in the extreme heavy weight category.

Samurai Goroh is unnecessary in my opinion. There are more flavorful villains and I personally feel that one rep from F-Zero is enough.

Mewtwo can return. Not sure if he will.

Ghirahim should be a lock. New character, moveset potential, big personality.

Eggman is not necessary, but could work and would be flavorful. Not sure on the likelihood.

Dr. Wily just doesn't have stage prescence. Eggman could fill the third-party mad scientist void with better results.

Bowser, Wario, King DeDeDe should return. As well as a revamped Gannondorf. Wouldn't mind if Wario received some moves from his Wario land games. (The bite move he has is random).

An alternate costume isn't necessarily a model swap. The ones in Street Fighter IV are most definitely model swaps, but the ones in, say, Tekken and DoA are most certainly not alternate models.

If Zelda is made better because of Sheik, then why bother playing Zelda?

I think that Sheik and Zelda should stay as one. However, in keeping with the style of Skyward Sword Sheik may be changed to Impa. The moves would largely be the same. Or Sheik can just be designed with the Skyward style.

Either way, Zelda should not be her own character. The concept is cool and reflects the Wisdom aspect of the triforce. Gannondorf fights with pure power, Link uses a multitude of tools he finds in his brave adventures, and Zelda adapts to her environment by knowing her best course of action.
