I never fall for a Bugs Bunny. People always try it on me :p I'm the better verison of Daffy my brother.
Bugs Bunny has Muscle. That's the one I'm talking about. I'm so fat, I can make Texas :awesome: oh w8, that's no good :(

Anyways, back on track, I think if Halo didn't hate on Nintendo, MC would be on SSB4

We don't know, Diddy Kong.

Likewise, considering after they left for Microsoft, I doubt they'd be given a Donkey Kong game anyway.

Anyway, I'd rather have one of their main franchises instead. Killer Instinct, Banjo-Kazooie, Perfect Dark, Goldeneye. Those need good revivals on Nintendo systems.(plus, DK got revived by Nintendo. Not perfect, but eh.)

They did made Diddy Kong Racing for DS couple of years a go out of anything they could've done so I do say DK probably has priority.

Banjo-Kazooie would probably need permission from Microsoft. Though there was a Banjo game for GBA.

Both Banjo and a new DK game would be the best though. Would definitely buy a 3SS for that

Only because they made the original game. I'm referring to DK games in general. Not that I don't agree Rare did it better, mind you, but Nintendo owns 'em now. Likewise, Diddy Kong Racing is not a Donkey Kong game anyway. So I don't really count it towards the DK games. It's a side game at best. It's more like in the sense of how Square made Super Mario RPG. Side game. Or, say, Yoshi's Story. It's not a Mario game, it's a Yoshi game. It's related to the series, but that's it.

Banjo-Kazooie would probably need permission from Microsoft. Though there was a Banjo game for GBA.
Was this before or after Rare left? Likewise, probably both. Now, unless Killer Instinct got released on another platform, that one would not be hard at all to get permission, since you don't have to go through two companies.

Both Banjo and a new DK game would be the best though. Would definitely buy a 3DS for that

:phone:
And Mario Kart 7, OOT 3D, Super Mario 3D Land, Luigi's Mansion 2, etc. It's not like it has a small list of games. :awesome:

Asage just ignore the pest and it'll go away hopefully... anyway I was wondering how would you guys feel if we got Magnus and Dark Pit over Palutena and Medusa? I know it's silly to think about but it would probably be the greatest troll ever.
Well damn Ope I wouldn't address the little ****er as just a "pest", he's a human being too like us.

Honestly, the prospect of a zombie apocalypse makes me want the world to end in such a state. Maybe it's because I've been playing too much Dead Island. :awesome:

Speaking of which, though not likely, imagine if they rep Resident Evil in Sm4sh. I mean, they could, but I'm sure they'll choose Megaman over the likes of Leon or Jill.
YESSSSSSSSSS

Jill Valentine, Nemesis, Tyrant, Chris Redfield, Wesker, ANY one of these would be great for Smash, in my opinion.

Mega Man would be great, too, though don't get me wrong.

Do you guys think any third party series could get a second rep like Raiden or Tails?

Never thought I'd see both of them at once.
Nah, although I wouldn't mind seeing Knuckles or Shadow as a second Sonic rep

Yes, sakurai said it's likely that they might have a capcom character. It's gotta be mega man. If not mega man for whatever reason, then it should be ryu. Other company that kinda deserves a rep is square Enix, which is a tough choice. I would want to see either cloud, sora or slime, all of them being likely.

:phone:
He never said it was likely that we would get one, just that it isn't "out of the realm of possibility" that we would get one...

Some possible companies and 1-2 possible reps-

Capcom- mega man, Jill Valentine
Square Enix- cloud, slime
Namco- Pac man, Kazuya
Level 5- Proffesor Layton
Ubisoft- Rayman
Rare- Banjo kazooie, conker

If I missed a company that's possible, tell me and I'll include them and some possible choices in the post.

:phone:
Fixed. ;)

Steal my thunder will you!!! *points finger and shakes hand*

Nah man I'm teasing. It is like I told you, personally, I am not a big fan of scrolling stages as they never seem to work out quite right in Super Smash Bros. The idea itself is very creative and not too much, but it is just a personal thing. Personally I would leave most of the stage outside and have the rooms be alternate routes you can take when warping.
Yeah, I know, My thoughts were just that I'm hoping the wifi matches don't always have to be 2 min long, therefore giving way to stages that have more to show. But I like the idea of alternate routes... Perhaps as soon as a cave is taken, you go straight in to the dungeon? Or just straight to turtle rock? Hmm.... I know that in the game that part of death mountain is by far my favourite part of the game: Turtle Rock is simply amazing!

Hey sw! ^^ Nice to see you back here :D

Unfortunately, I believe that Banjo-Kazooie is dead. I mean, after they butchered the franchise with a half ***** lego vehicle game with BK tacked on, who would even want it to come back just so we could get a lame sequel. As much as I worshipped Rare back when they were the greatest developers in the world, it's safe to say they're a joke now. Not to mention most of the classic team if not all of them have since jumped ship. I don't want then ruining BK anymore. Who knows what they'd do to the DK series. I guess they'd bring back K. Rool, so there's that...

One thing I wouldn't mind would be a followup to Conker Live and Reloaded. The multiplayer in that game was fun and would have been so amazing if it was balanced at all.

Oh wow, sw, i can't believe i never added you as a friend! Gotta do that now.....

Banjo-Kazooie? Thats hard to say, there would be so much going on to complicate things. I suppose it's possible, but man how hard it would be to do it. then again, they've done that kind of thing before....

Add Hector and its good.

The Banjo Pilot game for GBA was released after Rare left btw. Originally it was going to become Diddy Kong Pilot, but they scrapped the idea cause of the whole rights thing (iirc, Nintendo and Rare went to court about ownership about Donkey Kong even).

There was no way Nintendo would lose DK himself. He's a major Nintendo icon. Enough said.

Anyway, thanks for the info. Anything about my other points? :p

Oh no not really, agree with them both basically.

Well Nintendo kind of gave Rare ownership of DK with DKC, and they where responsible for pretty much all of the series' development so I guess they just went for it? They couldve made good money with Donkey Kong Country for XBox. I probably wouldnt have a Nintendo console if they had DK for XBox.

Also, Impa and Chrome have 2 votes out of 3 voters already when I checked :awesome:

I even gave Roy a vote myself actually.

I don't think so, Diddy. Not sure.

As for the DK stuff, I think the only game that was kind of eh under them was DK64. But I think they can do better. I wonder if Nintendo owned the Kremlings and King K. Rool completely.

Yeah they do own the Kremlings, and everything which is part of the DKC series. But they themselves did jack **** with it, only made games as Mario vs DK and Jungle Beat.

And I'd really like a DK64 remake actually. But they will need to fix a few things about it. But knowing Rare they would, as they always added new stuff when porting the DKCs to GBA and added new levels and even customizing in Diddy Kong Racing DS.

Just because they own them doesn't mean they need/want to use them. Many series are that way. Likewise, Nintendo originally made Donkey Kong in the sense of DK vs Mario, so it made sense. The DKC series was NOT made by them so trying to capitalize off of creations they didn't made may seem silly. No copyright infringements, but let's be honest, if they tried to make their own DKC game, it'd be almost like a Fanfiction in itself.

Then again, I'm not a fan of these "Return" games. They need to start looking forward more. The 3D was good for Donkey Kong, it just needed polishing and LESS collectibles. It was actually a good game. I honestly feel that Mario degraded right after Super Mario 64, same with Wario's non Wario Land and Wario World titles. The Yoshi games were always great to me.

Meh, I'm picky and an old fart. Eh.

How old are you them? Definitely relate to you with the picky stuff. Wasnt an all too great fan of Mario either (still dont think big of SMW for example, and find DKC- especially 2- superiour). Didnt like 64 TOO much either to be frank, but gladly would play it again before Sunshine. Galaxy (1, never played 2) was enjoyable, but I prefer NSMB (DS version, Galaxy > Wii version imo).

Nintendo did let other companies use the DKC characters like Namco (for Donkey Konga which shamefully has still the most DKC characters in the series in one game togheter since 64), PAON (made the DK King of Swing and Jungle Climber games and DK Barrel Jet- music and thropies are from it in Brawl- good games, nobody knows / cares about them unfortunately :/ ) and of coarse Retro Studios for DKCR (which I still think PAON should have worked on with to).

So its weird to me Nintendo just refuses to do anything with the series. Worse was Jungle Beat, which heavily triee to copy a lot of the graphic style of DKC and gameplay elements, but replaced them with their own! Not even one DKC-related feature, character or anything was in the game while it was made by Nintendo EAD. Same ones from Mario Galaxy where a **** load of old features, music, enemies and game play elements returned.

Never played much Yoshi besides Yoshis Island for SNES (which I heavily enjoyed) and Yoshis Island DS (which was a heavy disapointment) and never really pkayed Wario Land either. Not too big of a fan for the WarioWare series though. But I can be enjoyed by it. Bought WarioWare for Wii when it came out so..

How can you say they did nothing with the series when they tried to make their own original ideas? Now, I myself don't own a single DKC game. I only have DK64. And I'm fine with that. I rarely pick up the Play Control or the "Revival" ames. I don't like them, at all. I like originality. Unfortunately, they think capitalizing off of old crap is a good idea. I don't. It can go worse. I mean, the DS Zelda games are meh at best due to some fairly bad idea.(mainly the way the controls work, outside of items) The rest kept going with innovation and it worked beautifully. That's how it's done.

I've played all the Yoshi games(except the DS remake). They're great games, and a lot of fun. I own all the Wario Land(save VB) games, Wario World, and that's it. I love them platformers. I do try to get most Mario main series(and Kart and Party), but I avoid the remakes/revivals because they're really nothing of importance to me. I like Bowser Jr. now, but he doesn't add anything to them. The items are cool, I admit, but both versions did not immerse me into it. Super Mario 3D Land, which I have yet to try, but do own, looks like I can finally get a new 3D version worth playing to me.

Am I the only who prefers Mario's Melee design to almost every other design? Maybe it's just nostalgia.

Your not the only one I prefer his Melee design as well, I wonder what they'll do with his down special move though since they'll most likely get rid of that horrible FLUDD. I always felt like they should give him a hammer for his down special move.

If FLUDD goes away, I'm willing to bet Tanooki suit will replace him, or his SMG spin.

Oh well you so beat me then in age. Am 21, and thought Oasis, me and maybe N to where the oldest here. Suprised in a positive way. Been a Nintendo fan since the older days to? If so I'd like to hear what retro characters you'd want.

I do advice you to play the DKC games though (or just 1 and 2). They made the SNES for me. Mario certainly didn't, and thats why I'm pissed Nintendo did so little to Donkey Kong as they could. DKCR should've been for GameCube.

I'm also not so big of a fan of the remakes and New Play Control stuff either (wanted to pick up NPC Pikmin though ad I never played it) but sometimes ports are ok. Some peopke enjoy pkaying their old favorite games on a portable, and sometimes that can be enough. I dont think they'll stop making ports and remakes tbh. Sometimes a graphical boost is nice (examples being Fire Emblem Shadow Dragon ir StarFox 64 3DS which I yet have to play) and it'll sometimes get the younger ones to play the classics, so in a way it's not so bad... Especially since they're not making much better except from their big projects / money makers.

Super Mario 3DS is cool though, played a little at my auntie's at Christmas and quite liked it. Nice mix up from many Mario games. Would like a similar sort of game with Donkey Kong (a mix between Country, Jungle Beat (especially in terms of fighting), Jungle Climber (climbing levels) and Returns would be awesome) on Wii U. Though it would look nothing like it.

Rare actually said the same thing about Jungle Beat, but I cant help to feel ignored when they left out what imo where vital elements and characters when it came out. It certainly is an enjoyable game (played with Bongos, on GCN didnt play on Wii) but it would've beenten timer better if they say, just added in Diddy and have some old enemies.

And so e of you should totally play against me online some time!

I would like the spin from Galaxy I think. Though the Tornado was cool to. Just didnt really know how to use it good, or recover with it even though I enjoy playing Mario in Melee. Dont think the Tanooki Tail should be the down B, but the Leaf could be an item.

The Hammer would be nice to, especially if we're not getting Paper Mario.

Since we both know I consider n64 and blow Retro, just Brian, Terra(FF6), Black Mage, and that's really about it. Not many neat retro choices.

I do advice you to play the DKC games though (or just 1 and 2). They made the SNES for me. Mario certainly didn't, and thats why I'm pissed Nintendo did so little to Donkey Kong as they could. DKCR should've been for GameCube.
Honestly, I'm a Mario fan, and really, DKCR shouldn't have been. Likewise, the revival itself was about as interesting as New Super Mario Bros. In other words, not at all to me. It was neat, but that's it.

I'm also not so big of a fan of the remakes and New Play Control stuff either (wanted to pick up NPC Pikmin though ad I never played it) but sometimes ports are ok. It doesn't help that their choices was mostly meh. Revive the n64 Mario Golf and Mario Tennis. Both were masterpieces. The GameCube ones were okay. Why no Luigi's Mansion, the PERFECT choice for this. It's a TPS, after all.

Super Mario 3DS is cool though, played a little at my auntie's at Christmas and quite liked it. Nice mix up from many Mario games. As I said, haven't put it in.

Rare actually said the same thing about Jungle Beat, but I cant help to feel ignored when they left out what imo were vital elements and characters when it came out. It certainly is an enjoyable game (played with Bongos, on GCN didnt play on Wii) but it would've beenten timer better if they say, just added in Diddy and have some old enemies.
To be honest, I'm not a fan of games with special controllers. I had no reason to pick it up whatsoever. Give me a traditional controller anyday.

Also, online's not working.

Kinda see why you want Waluigi now as you played so many Mario spin off games probably. The only Mario Party game I thought was genuinely enjoyable was 6.

And I wouldnt say DKCR shouldnt have been. It was a great game. Enjoyed it much more than even Zelda Skyward Sword. Definate #1 Wii game for me along with Brawl. But as we all know, Brawl was far from perfect as well.
