Mario Party 4 was by far my favorite of that series.

Last game with Donkey Kong playable, plus it had a basketball mini-game

I like mario party 2 for some reason it not a bad game.

Brawl, IMO, was the worst of the three Smashes. Albeit, it's still a great game, of course.

I want Waluigi because he honestly is an interesting character, could rep the spin-offs without having a chance to be a clone, is not mainly a generic race, and you know, looks rather cool.

DKCR was not even thought of around that time. It was perfect for the Wii, as that's the generation that went for remakes. As for Skyward Sword, haven't started it yet.

Am I the only who prefers Mario's Melee design to almost every other design? Maybe it's just nostalgia.

Brawl Mario's outfit is more detailed, but it does seem amusing how Melee Mario's mouth is often covered by his own mustache.

Tell me if you see anyone missing, or anything spelled weird.

I think it needs King Hippo. Theres a fairly decent chance that Sakurai will put him instead of Little Mac for popularity reasons. I mean, even wikipedia has an article for King Hippo himself while Little Mac is only included on the other Punch Out characters page. Captain N and his memorable weakpoint have made him a cultural icon, something that Little Mac just isn't. Or just add him in the case that Sakurai adds both of them. It wouldn't be the first time as Marth and Roy were both added in Melee.

DKCR was really a chip off the old block, apart from the fact that K. Rool wasn't in it. my brother and i found most of the hidden stuff really easily, just from knowing what the old DKCs were like.

And i really like how detailed brawl's characters were, even though Melee's mario was awesome. I just mean, i'm yet to see a mario more detailed than what they did in brawl. there are some chars that are like this especially. Ike/Marth are two, Link/Zelda/Ganon were also very detailed. ^^

but in terms of like... I have to say, what brawl did to mario makes him look kinda... evil. well, not evil, per se, but... Pervert, maybe? Something along those lines.... Same with wario, when i think about it.

Melee mario is good, but I especially love the mario bros. from 64. their eyes look bored, and not bored at the same time. They actually have really comical expressions on their faces, quite cool. But of course melee mario was especially well done for it's time, i have to say :D

 

[Diddy Kong]

King Hippo would've indeed got my vote if he was on the poll. He just looks interesting to have. But I don't think we'll get him before Little Mac at all.

Hector, Cecile, Eliwood, Nabarl and Ogma could be in the Fire Emblem part as well. Especially Hector as the first axe user. He's also mad popular by fans, or used to be. I would've given him a vote to if he was up there.

Perhaps Majora's Mask Link for Zelda as well. Or Groose for comical value? Would like to know how many votes he would get.

Also HyperFalcon, if you finish Skyward Sword, let me know of what you think about the Impa vs Sheik thingy we have.

Not a good example as Toon Link was barely different from Link/Young Link as is. In fact, that's what I want to avoid. You say she won't be a remake of Sheik, but history says otherwise. Likewise, Sheik is important in Smash. Not the Zelda series, but is a two-time veteran. Them leaving is silly. If Impa could be added without replacing Sheik, sure.

It's imo the most plausible choice for a rep from Skyward Sword, which might be getting overlooked by Zelda Wii U by that time.

Ganondorf is pretty dark too. Also, relevancy can kiss my ***. It's a bad idea outside of new series. I'm more interested in the character if they're cool, not if they're new. I find it a meh reason at best, and does not reflect a character's popularity. If that were the case, Tingle would be playable in Brawl, since his GBA games were released fairly close to it.

Waluigi got in as an AT, which means he could become playable next time around. Just like Goroh or Tingle, even Lyn, all have fair chances. Jr. is best with his Shadow Mario transformation, which means he can perform 2 movesets as is. Paper Mario would still be unique, since he shares little with regular Mario anyway.

He already is notable in gameplay thanks to Peach. After how he was double shoehorned into New Super Mario Bros. Wii, my taste for him dropped badly. Not worth it to me anymore. There's atleast a few more unique characters that should be in first, anyway.

I didn't make it by myself, I had a lot of input from a lot of people. Actually, back in early 2010, the meat of this list was compiled by me and ArcadeNik, and I've been perfecting it since then. Like cutting out the "Teams" for the most part. I think Pluse & Minun, and Kat & Ana are the only exceptions. As well as cutting out that bull comprehensive trainer stuff.

ALSO, just because I added like, ten characters, doesn't mean you can double vote. That makes you a BAD PERSON if you do that. BAD.

EVR Race is apparently what they consider their first? That probably doesn't have a standout character though.

I would guess Wild Gunman does have it's own characters, but I'm not sure if you'd want to count them since ORIGINALLY Nintendo filmed actors. Nintendo filmed them, and put them in a game, so they're technically still video game characters, but you could probably make an argument of it if you want. Eventually they replaced them with sprites, but that was after Sheriff had been made.

SO, I guess you could MAYBE ARGUE that Sheriff is at least Nintendo's first starring character. Especially since there are four (I think?) "Wild gunmen."

Also, yes, i know, double post, but i've told people before and will tell them again, i'm not good with computers, and I'm not quite sure how to edit this in to other post and all of that.

Also be aware that, not all the character I put up I believe will get in, however I put them up because I believe they have a slightly larger chance than the rest of the masses of videogame characters that could be in smash. You should be able to figure out by context who I think is more likely to get in from the way I talk about them, even though for all of them i tried to put in at least some positive aspect.

And I know Ike isn't an addition i meant to switch him and Roy around, but, bleu, you get what i mean.

To add to this, Rosalina is ranked three points higher than him. Still, the odds are, Rosalina will not be a separate character, but it wouldn't hurt to treat her as an alternate outfit option.

Some terrible choices, but that is not your fault. I disagree that Waluigi is the unlikeliest choice in the group. That honor is reserved for Captain Syrup who is almost laughable. Bandana Dee was a shock, but an enjoyable one. Now Bandana Dee is a character I can see getting in the next game. I do not care about the logic of the selection I just see it happening.

ALSO, just because I added like, ten characters, doesn't mean you can double vote. That makes you a BAD PERSON if you do that. BAD.
