Thank you. I was wondering when someone was going to ask this. Why are we discussing this?
Perhaps if I remember, I could give you some more thoughts after fighting Ghirahim. To change the topic, can I get some more input on my Debbie moveset?
Well the Wind Waker had a lot of Irish music, and Twilight Princess definitely had a lot of European folk music inspiration. (I think a lot of it was Eastern European... maybe=???)Hey, Hyper, remember how you were saying Zelda's primarily European?
Well, it looks like we finally have something so Asian that you could never mistake it for anything else:

And the shocking thing is, I wanna say this is Chinese, not Japanese even though the dragons' clothes remind me more of traditional Japan.

The Legend of Zelda has always had many Asian songs. You hear songs and sounds of several different cultures, countries, and nationalities "translated" into the series. I like that.
I would love to see more diversity in the Zelda songs in smash. The songs in Brawl were greatly diverse, but with two post-Brawl Zelda games already announced, and more Zelda games supposedly on the way (one new Zelda game for the 3DS, one new Zelda for the Wii U, most likely Skyward Sword on the Wii U, and maybe Majora's Mask 3D), we're gonna have a lot of new songs. And dang it, we need full orchestras, choirs, and instrumentals on some these songs! A Link to the Past overworld theme for the win son!
Exactly. Diverse music, playable characters, attacks, items, non-playable characters, bosses, enemies, assist trophy characters, stages, modes, features, and so forth for the win!I want to hear more Caribbean music in games...
I am thinking there will be a Wii U port because the Wii U needs launch titles. The demo of what appeared to be Skyward Sword on the Wii U (with the lighting changes and how it changes the game) at E3 2011 I think hints to that happening. Look at the debacle that happened with the 3DS launching thanks to having such a small catalog of good games. Overall I think a Skyward Sword Wii U port would be nice... if it added something, similar to the Wii version of Twilight Princess adding motion controls.@Johnknight1: Why are you assuming it is likely we're getting a Wii-U port? I'd like to not get screwed just because I got the Wii version.
New and original Wii U and 3DS are confirmed by Nintendo to be in development. Also, Nintendo has not confirmed Majora's Mask 3D is in development. However, they have said they may or may not consider it. I think that means they will consider it, but you can translate Nintendo's statement for yourself.@john
I'm pretty sure it will be an all new wii u Zelda game and I know nintendo has confirmed that the next 3ds Zelda game will not be a port.
Actually...Much of Skyward Sword has a good amount of asian influence. From what I have seen since beating the fourth dungeon have been relatively large amounts of Indian influence. The only other influence I saw was a strange hybrid of steampunk and Aztec.
Agreed. The Nintendo songs from OGC would be awesome for Smash.Edit: This version of the Legend of Zelda theme with this same recording (maybe re-mastered) needs to be in all future Smash Bros. games. It is incredibly epic! (FOR FIGHTING!)
I didn't see the Aztec influence. Koloktos (aside from its Greek sounding name) gave me an Ancient India vibe. Maybe it's not ancient, but something about its appearance makes me think of ancient times. Heck, the Spirit Temple in Ocarina of Time gives me that same feeling. Maybe I lived in the China-India area in a past life or something.
I wanna say there is a Mesoamerican influence somewhere like the Ancient Robots (just look at some of the murals in the game), but I may be biased since I'd like to see such an influence in Zelda.
Is anyone reminded of Totoro when they see the Kikwis?
On my Ghirahim moveset, he's an odd character archetype wise. The best way I can describe his playstyle is sadistic.
No. That was the scariest enemy in Ocarina of Time and I don't want to see that enemy as a playable character..I'd like to see ReDead. His Final Smash would be ****!

Tingle
Toon Zelda/Tetra/Phantom
Vaati
Skull Kid
Ghirahim
