Okay, it's been some time since the last time I posted something here, but as I finished Zelda Skyward Sword I gotta say something about Ghirahim:

Yes, I bit my tongue. He's awesome, and he has nice plausible moveset.
I won't say he's a shoe-in, but yes, he COULD get in the next Smash Bros.

But hey, at least I PLAYED the game before taking any conclusions.
And he is the Midna of Skyward Sword, anyway...

Neither is alot of characters that's wanting to be playable... Like Mewtwo, at present time. No one knows much about the 3 Mirage PKMN yet (Meloetta, Genesect, and Keldeo), so we can't judge the covers of their books. What's your reason for not having them on Sm4sh? I have a few, like how they haven't had a movie title or event yet, but let's hear YOUR reason...

I still vote for Victini, but I'll be watching these 3's progress. Like I said, They all have "a Shot" because no one has been determined yet by Sakurai.

One reason top players are top players are because of their mental level compared to those around them. Brawl boils down to reading and baiting. Melee boils down to tech skill and pressure. Stop saying one isn't fun/or good compared to the other because once again like how most of you keep trying to post like your word is law, Good/Fun/etc. is subject to person who plays it.

Melee has baiting and reading just as well as tech skill (aka doing what you want to do). The difference is in Brawl, there's usually so many defensive options (especially in recovery), with low-risks and high-rewards that dominates offense. In Melee, offense faces defense with about equal risks (ie: high-risk, high-reward, low-risk, low-reward).

I dunno about you, but I want defense to have more risk in any future smash bros. games than in Brawl. It doesn't have to be as belittled by offense as in Melee or smash 64, but good offense should beat good defense. Also, where did I say one game is better than the other outside of an obvious opinion=???

Obviously those who still play brawl find it fun compare to those who don't play Brawl for their various reason.

Good for them. If people have fun playing Brawl and like competing in Brawl tournaments, they should. Brawl has good aspects, but for me, the game bores me. Deal with it.

Secondly, who the hell told you camping is for those who aren't superior. If anything, those refusing to use a tactic in a game that would most likely improve their gameplay is lacking in skill or game knowledge. It's one thing to go by an "honor code" but then when something goes against it doesn't automatically make it wrong. This isn't some anime.

Camping/stalling/spamming/planking/edge spamming is so bad that there are several very specific rules against it, and a character was ban. That's how little faith the competitively people have in Brawl. That style of dominate play and those strict of rules sadly won't attract many people to tournaments who don't already play Brawl competitive.

My problem with Brawl are these are tons of low-risk, high-reward defensive "strategies" (much of which is slow and tedious) that the best characters can do better than the rest.

I'm not too sure about who has a better turn-out but, if Melee really was having a better scene then Brawl, MLG would have never dropped it for Brawl. Just speculating that.

MLG dropped Melee because Microsoft is one of their biggest sponsor. Brawl is not on the MLG Pro Circuit as of this year due to several reasons. On another note, most of the hype/promotion/attention of Genesis centered around Melee, not Brawl. A few nationals don't even have Brawl. The big New York smash TOs exclude Brawl often.

Once again, are you pulling these "facts" out of ***? Do you have a poll or something the competitive community that shows a hatred towards snake? If any character is most likely disliked it's MK and he is getting banned.

Keldeo, Meloetta, and Genesect are non-factors, IMO.

Zoroark OR Victini are much better representatives of Gen V.

I mean, even if Brawl's development was delayed, Lucario would still have been the better choice over Darkrai or Manaphy. Zoroark is pretty much Lucario 2.0, and Victini is pretty much the mascot of Gen V.

I wouldn't write off Genesect so quickly, he gives off the "Evil Mewtwo" vibe Imo. He definitely shouldn't be clumped with the other two. I put him in dead third.

if you can't figure out how to beat camping in brawl not much can be done for you. I mean... powershielding is like 8 whole frames or something.

even worse... MK has no projectiles... and TL has like... too many. if you're getting outcamped you're doing something horribly wrong.

I've never lost a camping duel with Toon Link. I usually win/tie at camping/stalling matches, but these so-called "defensive" games bore me. I can handle games where smart defense with risks dominates, but with few offensive options to counter low-risk, high-reward defensive options, players have to hide behind rules-which is lame. I hope the Smash Bros. Wii U/3DS development team(s) learn to stay away from this type of game play.

It's too bad we have to write an essay sometimes against awful choices like Waluigi and Shy Guy.

Making up claims here? No, it's a legit strategy that's a safe option that helps get you a win. That's the point of camping. In a game with high risk low reward, it's a smart option.

Camping is usually low-risk, high-reward against characters with no or 1 good projectile(s). This is is what (calling) such strategies (legitimate) does to people's opinion of Brawl:

It also depends on how long you run. If you run for like 3 seconds straight with Captain Falcon at full speed, and you can't control it and die, you deserve it.

And dang it, still haven't gotten Skyward Sword... or the WiiMote Plus I ordered so I could actually play it...

I prefer slow and steady. I prefer control. I could control Falcon in Melee. Twice as fast is just not acceptable for playable.

And anti-competitive thing is stalling. All of those are legit tactics. There is no honor in winning a fight. It's a concept, but isn't realistic.

Once again, Meta Knight. He does fine without the need of them. You don't need projectiles to camp. It just helps. The problem is that you're saying stuff is anti-competitive, when it isn't at all. Stalling is the only point you have is because it makes the game take longer for no purpose but to waste time. Camping is how you win. So is everything else. It's fine if you like faster-paced games(but frankly, not everybody does), but don't act like it's against competitive nature(which is to WIN at all costs) to do anything but stalling. All of that? It's playing smart. Yeah, Brawl is campy. It's just how you win in the game. Nothing is illegitimate in playing to win using the best strategy for the game style.

Take to the streets of Central City with City Escape.

Overall a simple walkoff stage taking place at a 4 way intersection. Platforms are made out of construction equipment and building highrises.

The main gimake, of course, is the G.U.N. Truck that patrols the streets reaking hoavic on the stage itself.

As every once in a while the truck will ram itself into the stage destorying any platforms in it's path and causing major knockback to players that are runover. It comes out of the background, and either side of the stage, it can also make some amazing jumps so even the upper portion of the stage isn't safe from road rage.

The platforms do reform back to their original stage over a set amount of time, of course.

I got it 15 minutes before midnight last night. I'm currently in the second dungeon. I had to break my "No Guides" rule to find the last two pieces of a puzzle. I'm loving the game. Even the general mooks are a challenge.
