New Smash Bros for WiiU

Hey guys! Been in and out for awhile now. I'm making a Victini Sm4sh fan-made trailer. It's nearly completed. I'm also added Micheal and Zoroark in it, too. Not too much, but they are mentioned. Once it's done, I'll post the youtube link here. It'll be done in about 2 weeks.

I honestly believe Rayquaza was there to give a decent shoutout to Generation III. But yeah, there should be 10 Nintendo bosses at least, alongside the Hands, and possibly a final boss like Tabuu, and maybe throw in a boss for each third party series, if they return. If I had my way, this would be the boss roster for SSB4:

Nintendo Bosses:

King Boo
Emperor Bulblax
Black Knight possibly?
King Hippo (Assuming Little Mac makes it.)
Nightmare

3rd Parties

Eggman/Robotnik
Metal Gear REX
Dr. Wily


I kinda like Bowser's Down B. It's a nice homage to SMB 3.

King Boo would be interesting (I assume from Super Mario 64). The fighting methods to beat him would also be cool.

Emperor Bublax seems a bit too old (Twilight Princess is already half a decade old) to put in the next smash.

Dr. Wily, Eggman, and a Metal Gear REX/RAY/Aresenal or the Shagohod would be a given.

There was Black Knight data in Brawl, possibly as an Assist Trophy or Boss. It would have been great to fight against him or with him. He would be an exceptional boss!

King Hippo would be lulz!

Nightmare would rock my socks bro!

God I hated those statues in the Secret Net in Mega Man Battle Network 3!

Bass would make a good boss too, along with Proto Man.

A Yellow Devil would be epic! That thing was ridiculously hard to beat in the original Mega Man! (but boy was it an epic boss!!!)

...If Eggman is a boss, then Mega Man better team up with Sonic, mistaking his nemesis for a robot master. :I

I wonder if it would work having a Kraid boss battle, while ALSO battling Ridley (as a normal character, not a boss). Since those two are bros, y'know.

LOL that would be awesome to fight Eggman as Sonic and Mega Man teaming.

You know what would also be epic=??? Eggman battling Mario and Luigi, and Bowser fighting Sonic and Mega Man/Sonic.

And if Kraid was a boss, it would be interesting to see what his role was. Maybe Samus' suit could be damaged (so she went to her Zero Suit-make a taunt be able to switch it?), and Ridley realizes that he needs her in that suit in order to defeat some greater enemy. In order to get it, they need to get through Kraid, lulz.

That or just team Zamus with Snake and make him do... "suggestive" moves on her. That or have Snake be gay for Captain Falcon!

I don't think Bowser needs fast moves per se, just cause DK and King DeDeDe have them (and Ganondorf did to, in Melee at least). There should be a little difference between the characters still. DK was always the 'speedster' of the heavy weights anyway, and King DeDeDe's only real fast move is Bair (also Nair) but the rest of his advantages came from long range, and of coarse grabs / mind game shizzle.

Bowser doesn't need it. He's the biggest and heaviest Brawler, and likely will remain so in Smash4. Doubt Ridley or any other possible character will be heavier than him. Including K.Rool even. His physique also doesn't help much with fast attacks. So super armor would really help I think. Add it on his Ftilt, Fair, and maybe to after the end of certain moves to help with the lag (so even if you were to get hit, it wouldn't mather cause you'd simply hit back).

Thing is, heavy characters are at a huge disadvantage especially when fiighting faster characters when they have high %, and the other is just killed and comes back fresh. More super armor moves would gurantee that you at least can get in a couple of decent hits before getting killed straight away. I think especially Bowser would need it a lot, but they shouldn't hestitate to give some to Ganon either.

In other words, make power and heavy weight just as dangerous in Smash 4 as speed and range are in the other games.

So far all the big characters with slow attacks have been low tier at best.

Donkey Kong in Melee had some faster attacks than his Smash 64, and in Brawl his fast attacks got even faster.

King Dedede has quite a lot of fast attacks.

In Melee Ganondorf had quite a few fast moves (that were about as strong as say Link or Samus' fast moves). In Brawl all his "fast moves" had a lot of after lag.

I'm not saying Bowser needs all fast moves; just a few. Give him a few fast tilts, a few fast aerials, and make his specials come out faster. Maybe make 'em do less damage, too. Having a good balance between fast quick hit moves and power moves that do a lot of damage or can kill early is what makes a characters strong in smash. Overall with Bowser I just think he needs a lot less after lag, a tad less pre-move lag, and more moves that are actually useful to use in combat.

Or maybe the three could team up and form a "Royal Alliance to kill pests" (specifically, Mario, Luigi, Kirby, Donkey Kong, Diddy Kong, and perhaps Dixie Kong).

Maybe they could also use King Hippo as a "king" they manipulate into fighting all their fights.

A 3rd version for Pokémon of Black and White will probably come out late next year in Japan. It will probably be announced by May. We might be able to see a few new Pokémon that may potentially have a shot in smash bros (specifically Genesect, and his potential and current/future role in the series).

We're also definitely going to get a trillion spin offs this year, lol! XD

As for your thread, you got to consider the past and present, but you can't base your ideas upon it. Although in the past my guesses on characters were pretty dang accurate, I more base who I think will make it off a "feel" I get from said character, of course with consideration of the past. I look at the ole' Melee days and my days in the pre-Brawl era as to who I need to look at. I wanna figure out the future Marths, Roys, Pichus, Ice Climbers, Mr. Game and Watches, Pokémon Trainers, Pits, Snakes, and ROBs of Smash in Super Smash. Bros Wii U and 3DS after all.

(hopefully Geno falls in that category! :D)

Create the Roster is basically a series in which fans decide whenever or not said character should be on the roster.

Right now, we already decided how many characters would be on the roster (50), how many third-party, and put up a couple vets and a couple newcomer. We're currently on Wario and Bowser Jr. today. You'll have to make a GameFAQs account for it.

It's impossible for the 3rd game of B&W to come out because we would of heard something already by now. B&W was found, and it was many months until it came out, almost an entire year. Also note that it is not comfirmed whether the new game rumor is true or false.
Also, my banner quote meant something a little more. Ppl wanted Sonic and Snake on Brawl. Success? No. So now most people want no 3rd parties. So instead of seeing what happened to them then, how about improving them and giving them another shot? Like Dr. mario and Y.Link.

I break your ice guard and wonder why my poll of favorite brawl characters has Sonic and Snake near the bottom. Out of 350 people, here's the results of their total votes:

Snake: 12
Sonic: 9

Done 10/24/11, in class online, asking people from Serebii, FSmash, phone calls, txts, and IGN that had some brawlers in it. It was a real poll, meaning I had to craft it only from expert brawlers or at least good brawlers. BTW Jigglypuff was last. Not A Shocker. I'll make another poll here, if ya'll want done so

Yeah 3rd party characters have always been more. The anti-3rd Party Purists get shot down by all the pro-3rd party people like 10 to 1 (many of whom I think only want 3rd party characters added!).

Although sadly a lot the 3rd-party loving folks want stupid or non-Nintendo characters like Master Che(i)f, Cloud (Terra wanna-be), some anime character, or minor characters like *enter X bland character from Final Fantasy VII or VIII*, random characters from Kingdom Hearts, or really anything that Square Enix makes!

Still, nearly all pro 3rd-party character people want Mega Man, and maybe Pac-Man, Geno, Slime, or a Final Fantasy representative (preferably someone or something that is a constant in the series, or is from the first 6 games). Trust me when I say this-if most people were in control of the roster, there would be at least 5 or 6 third party characters.

Mega Man as the Capcom playable representative.

The reason some people don't like Sonic on your poll because he was kind of weak in Brawl, and his move set could have been better.

The reason some people don't like Snake on your poll because he was ridiculously strong in Brawl, he had ridiculous range and hit boxes, and mostly because of stupid camping Snake players.

In everything there is a cause and effect.

I saw a similar poll pre-Brawl on GameFAQs, and many people hated Falco and Ganondorf because they were high/top tier characters, as well as Sheik (also, because her play style is lame!).

That's true. The point is to have recognizable characters that have been on Nintendo consoles. In fact, the only requirement is to be on a Nintendo console now. And start off from video games. Digimon are perfectly chooseable as well, and would actually be kind of cool. Rivalry between Digimon and Pokemon would be great. I always forget that Digimon started off as a video game. Bandai Namco owns them now. Admittably, I'd rather have a Soul Calibur character, but I think a Digimon fits in better.

Yeah part of Nintendo's history is it's third parties games. Before the NES, many consoles banned or place limits on third party games. Nintendo just went, "eh, just give us part of the money you make." Therefore Nintendo hypes third party games on Nintendo consoles, which helps them make money, makes people want to buy their consoles, and makes the third party company money, makes the third party company want to make more games on said console, and increases awareness for said third party company.

However, I would have a problem if Smash Bros. had like... half third party characters.

Characters like Sonic (Nintendo's rival company's mascot and icon in the 90's), Snake (he got big on the NES version of Metal Gear), Mega Man (his first game were on the NES), Pac-Man (an icon of gaming that inspired Nintendo), etc all definitely have a huge impact not just on Nintendo and Nintendo history, but on gaming.

Why the heck would you buy the Atari 283998382494393 when you could get a NES and play as Mega Man, kill those dang robot masters, and steal their friggen powers=???

For third-party limits, I would go no more than 10% overall. Meaning that if there was 50 slots, I would be okay with 5 third-party characters.

And Johnknight1, didn't Nintendo said a company could not produce anymore then five games on the NES per year? It is for this reason why Konami made Ultra, so that they could "technically" make ten games a year on the NES.

10% max sounds right to me with up to 50 characters. If we have like 100 characters, I wouldn't mind if like... 20 were third-party. Hell, i wouldn't even mind Shadow then-so long as like all the good Nintendo characters were already in the game! XD

I also love the idea of no characters who weren't created in video games. That idea is great. If fans want to make them, let them do it (maybe provide them the tools to make it). But Nintendo or Sakurai shouldn't waste their time making them.

Plus I would kill myself if Naruto was in the dang game, or we had to deal with those people saying "zOMG! Naruto for Smash Bros!" being shut up always makes me happy.

Even though Jessie and James were made for the anime and manga, they have appeared in Pokémon Yellow version. They could still appear as like a joke, but definitely not as characters like the Pokémon Trainer.
