Ok This is a vid I made to figure out if this is a New Ness AT I'm not saying anything is final I just want to know if this is new or old because I've never seen it before and I can't quite get the timing or input for it right. I've also never seen it on any of these forums so here. it is

If this is indeed new. Lets all figure out what the input for it is and Name it thank you

its looks like a hyphen smash with fsmash instead

load up training and cancel a dash attack with a smash in the opposite direction

requires a hair slower input than a hyphen smash though, ive gotten him to slide pretty far

So is it new?
or is it old?

I've found anything like it in any of our Ness AT forums.

Its just using the momentum from the jump to get a little slide when you land, every character can do it.

Still, that'd come in hand especially for Ness if you could fair past a snake into a usmash or fsmash to avoid a utilt punishment.

isn't this just like a fsmash out of a slide? anyways I've done this before too. Try go on pirate ship, just run and nai down the little slope in the middle and fsmash. you'll slide pretty far. I've gotten a lot of people with it many times during tourney matches.

actually it looks like you did a small pivot immediately as you landed.
i can tell due to the small dust cloud that appeared as you turned

I'll try that.

But the fact that you pull it off on people in tourneys makes it even more of an AT.
People didn't see it coming because "sliding" across a stage using an Fsmash is a bit weird. And I don't see it in any of our Ness forums. Ness' yoyo can be added on w/ this tech and you can sheildstab or just punish someone period w/ its unique style.

Also Youv'e gotta teach me this man lol.
I don't use the c stick to perform my ariels. I use it to do dash attacks, dsmash and uair's every now in then (1 ariel I know lol)
People are saying it's just a buffered shorthop to a fsmash which would make sense because when i perform the move on accident i try to fair to a bair. I think i got it down pretty much w/ c-stick but I don't trust it as well as if i could just do it w/ my normal style

Also people
Floaty chars can pull this off way easier then non floaty. Some non floaty can't even perform this.
This totally makes it AT worthy especailly for ness Kennypu just made it clear he gets people w/ it in tourneys. And some1 can easily think your trying to perform a double shuffle and you slide behind them w/ a smash attack. I say we consider this a new Ness AT :)

2nd xoxo's post -.-. Anyways, go on youtube and search my name and look at some of my earlier tourney matches. I barely counter pick pirate ship now, but there should be 1 or 2 matches where I do it. I'll go find one as I am speaking.

EDIT:
lol, i noticed I did it(since I do do it a lot) in my latest match xD. look at 2:17: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bR7U1NTAiIA
as you can see, its not only from fairs, it can be any aerial attack. The point is to auto-cancel the land and buffering a fsmash, so that you slide from the mommentum while fsmashing right away due to the auto-cancel.

Have you tried it w/ a upsmash?

no i havn't, but I believe that is pointless to try it with an upsmash, as it will most likely give same or least results in sliding than a hyphen smash.

It's the element of surprise that I want.

Lets all be real here,

Ness is a Mid Range Ariel Fighter. His ground game probably is where the most difficulty comes from. And that's simply because his fsmash has been nerfed. And the rest of his ground game doesn't have much priority or range. PKF,Dash Attack, Up&DownSmash (Depending on opponent or position) are his only real works of attack. Other then that it's all air game. Your ground games mind games is only useful because people are scared of ariels in some cases. The only reason I say the Upsmash would be useful is because it has more range and less lag time on the start up then the fsmash. As well as it sparks up new combo's

But I mean the Fsmash would be surprising as well and punishing. It's just dodgeable is my point. Even if their shocked or caught off gaurd a snake could just utilt or sheild outta fear. =/

Ness' ground game isn't perfect, but I think it is a bit underrated.

Pivot PKFs are useful
Dash attack has beast range and sick priority
Usmash is just so unique
Dsmash is great for punishig rolling (long lasting, sweeping hitbocks)
Ftilt... there are better ones, but idk it helps me in a way I bet no one else uses it. I KO wif it O_o
Utilt I combo wif out of DAS stuff like landing uairs and fairs. High priority that beas many aerials.
Dtilt is underrated a good amount IMO. If you think about it, you can just about slip it into just about anywhere to just about anything if it trips. Nair>fair>dtilt>grab. Even if it doest trip, if you use just a few or even just one it can lead into attacks because the opponent dint read it.
Fthrow has great damage and intial range.
Bthrow sucks balls, we all know that.

His tilts are what make him pale compared to other characters ground games, but it's not terrible at all IMO.
