Is this a character request? Because I would be ok with this.

Seriously. If you think missing Impa is bad, Sakurai's blatant disregard for ALL of the Wario Land series (going as far as making Wario his WarioWare incarnation instead of his original and more iconic Wario Land self) is the worst in Brawl... pretty much giving a middle finger to the series.Wait, seriously? I still think it'd be awesome if the PMBR put Captain Syrup in despite not appearing in Brawl in the name of justice.
There has been a little talk about Dark Samus, but nothing really special.Have we discussed a moveset for Dark Samus? I apologize if we have, considering there's about 170 pages in this thread, but I feel like after a wave of discussion is happening, as we recently discussed Tails, Pichu, Skull Kid, etc.
I found this interesting one on another forum made by one of the users here: http://www.gamefaqs.com/boards/633202-super-smash-bros-for-wii-u/64357422
Not sure how plausible or possible it would be, especially that final smash, but it was a good read
I don't see why that moveset would be unreasonable, she does have all of the articles to be used in that mannerHave we discussed a moveset for Dark Samus? I think Down B can be done. It sounds like a modified version of Lucas' Offense Up that would affect her specials instead of Smash Attacks. That Final Smash needs to go, though. Also, I'd say the taunt with her laughing needs to go. She doesn't really have a voiceThere has been a little talk about Dark Samus, but nothing really special.
That moveset you linked seems like it would work.
Down B is a little questionable, but may be doable. The Final Smash may need to be scrapped though.
Sorry, I meant Side B.I think Down B can be done. It sounds like a modified version of Lucas' Offense Up that would affect her specials instead of Smash Attacks.
Ooh, okay. Does a character need to have a reflector for their clone to? I honestly don't know...Sorry, I meant Side B.
I mainly say that because I don't know what type of shield they're talking about, and none of the bases I would consider possible have reflectors.
Yeah that's true, forgot about that.EDIT: Actually, just thought of something. They gave Mewtwo a reflector without Lucario having one.
I especially like the Shinespark idea for her recovery. I can't believe I never thought of that!Yeah that's true, forgot about that.
I guess that Dark Samus moveset is ballin' then.
I would honestly like to see that if Ridley can't be done.
She could act out of it like Charizard and Sonic, except it would be Omni-directionalI especially like the Shinespark idea for her recovery. I can't believe I never thought of that!

Well, there's also Sheik, but I wouldn't have a problem with Dark Samus teleporting. She could dissolve into Phazon particles and then reform, like she does at when she "dies" at the end of Metroid Prime 2.If they make Dark Samus, a quick teleportation move is necessary, if you ask me. Imagine having a character that can combo out of teleports quickly and consistently and then teleport again to continue comboing or to perform a finisher. I know Zelda and Mewtwo have teleportation, but both are pretty slow characters. It would be so very cool to have someone who could do this. This is the reason why I see Dark Samus being cloned off Zelda instead of Samus.
However, you don't necessarily need to clone for a teleport. This is the reason why I see Dark Samus being cloned off Zelda instead of Samus.
Say, since magic projectiles would use articles... I wonder if there's a magic user we could clone from Snake.Plus, there aren't many articles one could take from Zelda, which is why she's not that good of a base for magic/projectile users.
The only magic character I can think of that seems like a picture perfect clone for Snake is Cole from Infamous, but obviously that's not gonna happen (officially).Say, since magic projectiles would use articles... I wonder if there's a magic user we could clone from Snake.
I know, but it just feels right to have Zelda as a clone...I dunno why exactly. I don't really want another projectile-heavy character if they clone DS off Samus, and considering Lucario has already been cloned, it would be more interesting to use a "fresher" base (?).However, you don't necessarily need to clone for a teleport.
Mewtwo has the most versatile teleport in smash history, and he was cloned off of Lucario who doesn't have one.

I've got the same problem, man.My resolution is to destroy my friend at Project M. Dude's a scary good Brawl player who's been playing it since it came out, but he plays real aggressive and tries to figure out combos so I honestly feel like Melee is a better fit for him (he enjoyed it when I introduced him to it earlier this semester.) When he played P:M with me for the first time, I was only able to stalemate the guy (I think I won like 51% of the matches we played and we played a lot.) Granted I've only had P:M since Halloween, but yeah my resolution is to conclusively get better than him.
[Semi-Casual here.]
Issac is one of those characters I would rather see than discuss.Idea: I've always thought it could be cool to have a character with godlike ground game and horrible air game. I never knew who could fit the bill but dude. Isaac.
Discuss.
Off topic: I've only played Wario Land 4 and I enjoyed it a lot. Are the other ones worth checking out?Huge fan of Wario Land right here.
They will be making all clone models from scratch. On topic: At this point, I kind of want Dark Samus more than Ridley simply because she's going to be a lot easier to do. What I'm wondering though is where they're going to get the model from. Are they just going to import it from Prime 3?
Off topic: They're all good. The first Wario Land is a classic because it's Wario's first game and the only one that gives him Mario-like powerups (excluding the VB Wario Land, which is like a sequel). Wario Land II was a big one for the series because it was the first game where you're invincible, and it was like a puzzle platformer, so another classic. Wario Land 3 was probably not a "classic" like the first two, but it's also widely considered to be the best. It was also my favorite. It pretty much a more polished version of the first two. I'd recommend playing all three They're pretty short anyways, especially Wario Land 1.Off topic: I've only played Wario Land 4 and I enjoyed it a lot. Are the other ones worth checking out?

I was actually a consistant Smash player when I learned of the competitive realm of the series. Some friends took me up to MLG to compete because they were over confident in my abilities. I got knocked out pretty quick by a Meta Knight player, followed by a Lucas player. It was pretty crappy, but after the experience I did my research and found Brawl+ which eventually led me to P:M. It was also sometime after MLG I picked up actual fighting games like Street Fighter, BlazBlue, Skull Girls, UMvC3, SFxT, and Soul Calibur. I'm, at best, a little over average at them. After discovering P:M, I wanted to be good at it as well. Mostly because I hold Smash above all other fighters. The competitive grounds of Smash are much more fun and the community is a lot nicer than the average fighting game community.I've got the same problem, man.
I got my best friend into Smash a year ago. He used to only play UvC3 and SF, but now I feel like he's making Smash his main game.
Whenever we play Melee, I get smacked unless I use Pikachu (he's not even my main, but he just really sucks at the matchup).
Then, when we play PM, we're about even.
I just wanna be able to beat him consistently, and then I might feel confident to enter a tourney.
Off topic: technically they're all "good" but only Wario Land 4 is great. The controls for Wario are perfect and all the levels are the perfect mix of linearity and exploration. Wario Land 3 is pretty fun, but it's really boring in the beginning because you don't start with many of Wario's abilities like his shoulder bash and ground pound. Wario Land 4 is also tied with Wario Land: Shake It for the best soundtrack in the series.Off topic: I've only played Wario Land 4 and I enjoyed it a lot. Are the other ones worth checking out?
